While driving at normal and safe highway speeds, without warning (no audible or visual warning from the vehicle information display) my vehicle experienced engine lockout, loss of all non-electric power, and no control over vehicle speed. A few seconds after loss, the information display did show a "check engine light" and that the engine was in "lockout." We (my spouse, young child, and self) were surrounded by multiple commercial semi-trucks and passenger vehicles and had to weave and serve to avoid collisions at highway speeds and get to the shoulder of the highway in a few seconds. The root cause as diagnosed by a Chevrolet Dealership Service Department was failure of the magnetic strip that is press fit to the reluctor (tone) wheel. A 1/2in piece of the magnetic strip was missing and over 10 cracks within the strip itself observed. This magnetic strip is used by the Engine Control Module to measure engine RPMs. The strip's failure caused the EMC to shutdown the engine without warning which is a significant hazard for controlled vehicle movement at highway speeds. My vehicle's engine (LWN) is one of the few GM designs that have the press fit magnetic strip reluctor wheels. The rest use integrated wheels with the crankshaft or traditionally stamped steel with machined teeth. The vehicle and reluctor wheel has not been inspected by GM or any other representatives. I offered to send images to GM for records but they declined.

The vehicle’s radiator developed a coolant leak that was discovered and confirmed by the dealership during a routine oil change, tire rotation and state inspection. There were no warning lights, warning messages prior to the dealership discovering the leak. The radiator required replacement. The dealership also told me that they had the replacement radiator on hand because this type of radiator failure had been occurring fairly often with this type of vehicle. The radiator failure presented a potential safety concern because a coolant leak can worsen without warning and result in a sudden loss of coolant, engine overheating, or vehicle breakdown while driving. Because there were no warning lamps or other symptoms before the leak was discovered, we may not have had any indication that the cooling system was failing. The problem was confirmed by the dealership during inspection, and the dealership determined that the radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced. The vehicle/component was inspected by the dealership. No manufacturer, police, or insurance inspection has occurred, to my knowledge. There were no warning lamps, messages, overheating, or other noticeable symptoms prior to the dealership finding the leak. The vehicle is only three years old, with 39000 miles on it at the time of the failure. I am reporting this because a radiator failure at such a young vehicle age, particularly one that develops without any warning to the driver, could potentially create a safety hazard if the coolant loss becomes severe while the vehicle is being operated. I’ve seen many complaints in online forums that this is an ongoing issue with these radiators used by Chevy. It seems the replacement radiators are having the same issues. Why can’t something be done? Dealership information: #1 Cochran Chevrolet Cranberry [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Steering fails to return to center after turning. This is unexpected behavior and creates a danger when turning and releasing the steering wheel. There are no warnings or messages that coincide with this issue.

No check engine or warning lights were displayed on dash. - On Tuesday XXX. I contacted [XXX] of [XXX] approximately at 8:30 am est. [XXX] answered. Started vehicle no service lights were on, but had no reverse still no reverse. My girlfriends mother was following us to pick us up at dealership as we dont have a 2nd vehicle. We started out driveway to [XXX]. I had no problems at 1st then prior to the intersection of [XXX] the Vehicle lost control on its own. The sequences happened fast and abrupt. 1. Vehicle downshifted roughly to about 3 gear 2. Lost power steering 3. engine over revved 4. vehicle pulled right. During this time as a professional trained driver. I removed us off [XXX] off road way on to [XXX] (To the right) to avoid being in an accident. I would say that the speed was roughly 20MPH at turn as I was avoiding the accident that could of potentially happened. I was not on asphalt the whole time to make turn as I had a limited vehicle (Not properly functional). I was able to stop at [XXX] to stop. Stopped on Brigantine is when I pointed out to my girlfriend that the lights just came on. in the meantime, we received a phone call from [XXX] (Girlfriends mom) asking where we went as she didn't see us. We explained to her situation, and she met on Brigantine and followed us to dealership. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

On July 18, 2026, I was driving to work around 0530 am when my rear driver's side tire blew out from the tread sidewall to the rim ruptured, having a catastrophic failure that almost resulted in a crash. The tire only had 18,500 miles without any prior damage or hitting something. Their is a current recall for these tires for the very thing that happened yet my tire batch was not listed as part of the recall. This event was costly and prevented me from working that day. - Omaha, NE

Driving home on the interstate my truck started making a knocking sound and the vehicle would shake over 45 miles an hour. We took to a dealer that said the lifters were bad, and potentially caused damage to the cam shaft. There was no warranty. I asked how this happens under 60,000 miles and was told it’s just part failure. And with the 6.2 engines, it’s a known occurrence. I then see that Chevy 6.2L engines for earlier years had a recall for this same issue but our 2017 was excluded. The dealer quoted $10,500 for repair. But we found a local shop that did the work for around $7500.

Unknown, I parked the vehicle, got out of it, left car running for AC, locked the doors. The car was in park. Locks unlocked door, rear view camera display cut off, AC still running. I am viewing a house, so I walk around house and car still in park, 0-5min. I go in the house, 10-15 later, out of habit hit the lock buttons on car again, because I couldn't see it. When we exit the house the car is gone. Went in reverse and rolled across a road into a fence. When I arrived at the car, the doors were locked and the car was in reverse.
