  • 2015 CHEVROLET MALIBU
    - Las Vegas, NV

I was t-boned on the front side panel near the door at a high rate of speed. I would estimate well above the posted limit of 35 mph and my front and side airbags failed to deploy. I have video from the intersection and dash cam demonstrating the impact. My head hit off the steering wheel causing a concussion, neck and spine dislocations, bruising, and cracked xiphoid, dislocation on the left side of my chest, and cut on my ear. I went to the hospital, have the police report, and the two videos are also available. My car was totaled and towed to the lot off of Lamb, north of Craig Road.

While driving down highway rapidly slowed to 15mph. "reduced propulsion" was displayed with significant battery and gas left. Caused cars to swerve and pile up behind me. The car was inspected by dealer and received a variety of U26XXX codes. Dealer states its a faulty BECM. There was no warning lights on before the incident and have had no issues till then. We were lucky this was during the day. Nighttime would have been a terrible accident with oncoming traffic. Dealer is not wanting to cover BECM repair from GM Special Coverage Bulletin N232432680 that was investigated by your organization a couple of years ago.

Protecting the vehicle from damage due to transmission fluid loss. Looked under the car and Transmission fluid was pouring out between the transmission and drive shaft. Car will no longer start due to codes being present from the computer shutting the car down during fluid loss.

Electrical system problems that create unsafe driving conditions!! Vehicle has electrical glitches. Internal warning lights flicker on and off. Battery drains. Car randomly will not start. Multiple incidents. Car stalled on roadway without warning and would not crank. Luckily I was in a residential neighborhood with little to no traffic when this happened. I have had crank sensors replaced, fuel pump module replaced, fuses replaced and still problems occur. If this is a common issue with the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu, could you please issue a safety recall? Thank you

  • 2021 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500
    - Morrice, MI

I have a 2021 Silverado with the 6.2L engine. I had received the recall notice, but it took several months before I could get the truck checked. By the time I was able to get it inspected, the truck had over 100,00 miles, with the symptoms associated with the 6.2L engine failure. It was said to have passed inspection, but I had my doubts. Low and behold, my engine failed not once but twice. The first time I was told it was not due to the recall and paid out of pocket. The most recent failure, (same exact failure as before, and nearly caused an accident) happened last week. I towed it to a different dealership than where it was inspected and where the last repair occurred, and was told it needed a new engine. I called and was told by the dealership that a new engine was ordered, and they were waiting to hear back from GM on if they would cover it or not. I was also told they were very confident GM would cover it, and that is why they ordered a new engine. A few days later, I get a call and find out GM is in fact not covering it and the repair is around $12,000. I am beyond frustrated at GM for not taking accountability, and the dealership for giving me false hope that this would be covered.
