    The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, an abnormal clunking and knocking sound was heard. The traction control, ABS, and AWD warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the brakes and sensors. The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic, who referred the contact to the local dealer for assistance with the ABS module. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the ABS module was corroded and there was no recall coverage. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 109,004.

    The steering wheel locked on me while it was on drive. I could not turn it left or right. It does this at random which is dangerous. It locked as if the car was off but it wasn't.

    Under heavy braking conditions the vehicles ABS system did not engage and the vehicle slid losing control. There was a safety recall R61 which was documented as completed 20 May 2016, but inspection of the ABS ground wire shows it in its original position when compared to page 18 of the recall instruction. There has been no work on the ABS module since the recall.

    Suddenly brown smoke came out when I started a car and tried to roll down the window. My husband pulled out the controller which seems to be the cause of the smoke from the wire.

    Vehicle just won’t start sometimes. Changed battery , alternator, starter, ETC system. And nothing has helped. No rhyme or reason some days it starts perfectly fine multiple times .. other days I’ll go out and it just won’t start. I can go to my destination turn it off and it won’t turn back on.

    The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Journey. The contact stated while at a complete stop at a traffic light, the vehicle shut off. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic, where the battery and the alternator were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the check engine warning light, the traction control warning light, the ABS warning light, and other unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle then shut off temporarily. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
