    - Blue Springs, MO

Fuel System- Had the Durango 1 month spent 50k. At least 50% of the vehicle attempted starts fail. The second attempt the vehicle starts every time. Started researching this, this is very common on the newer Durango's as well as the older ones. I have a huge fear of being stranded and the cost associated with that. I had it looked at the dealer I bought it from and they could not replicate the problem, however when I got into leave it did it the first try. Here's a forum link with supportive material that should support this NEEDS to be a recall. There's tons of online discussions on people experiencing this. - Jonesboro, GA

I replaced the factory alternator about 2 years back and have had to replace it twice since then. The replacement alternator were not from the manufacturer but were brand new. The battery warning light comes on when it starts to fail and the hot wire leading to the alternator gets extremely hot. Didn't experience this until I had the aftermarket alternator installed.

  • 2023 DODGE DURANGO
    - Willowick, OH

Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Willoughby, Ohio. I traded in my 2022 Ram 1500 V8 HEMI Midnight Edition, which was in mint condition with only 8,800 miles, because I needed a vehicle with more space after the birth of my child. I chose a Dodge Durango GT Premium, effectively trading down, and I expected not to come out of pocket for anything. While I was willing to cover the taxes, I did not expect any further expenses—especially not for basic safety or cosmetic issues. Right after leaving the lot, I noticed that all four tires on the Durango were severely worn, and one had a deep cut, making it a legitimate safety hazard that could result in a blowout. I immediately returned and showed the salesman, who refused to replace the tire, even the damaged one, instead offering new tires at what they claimed was “dealer cost”—$271 per tire. However, I quickly found the exact same tires available from major retailers like Walmart and Amazon for $198–$226, proving that the dealership was not being transparent about their pricing. In addition to the tire issue, I also noticed numerous paint chips all over the front end of the Durango while I was still at the dealership. At first glance, I assumed they were just dead bugs. It wasn’t until I took a closer look that I realized the paint was chipped in many spots. Rather than offering to fix it or even acknowledge the issue, I had to ask for a paint chip marker myself. They never offered to repaint the area or do anything beyond handing me the pen. This is a vehicle I had just agreed to purchase, and this level of poor presentation and lack of attention to detail is unacceptable

The stereo is making random phone calls, adjusting heat/air, changing stations and pushing buttons all on its own. This is extremely dangerous and distracting while driving.

    - Lennon, MI

I have been having issues with the start button, the engine cranking but not turning over. It will crank for 30 seconds, not start, all the lights come on and usually on the second attempt the car will start. Also I have powered off the radio while driving for a second, then the screen will not turn back on.

Both front headrests have deployed. Car was sitting in driveway at night, came out in the morning and headrests were open/deployed. Plastic pieces inside snapped and will not lock back together. I have found hundreds of similar issues that people had with the same model of vehicle.

  • 2019 DODGE CHARGER
    - La Habra, CA

I received a notice March 14th of 2024 indicating that the side curtain airbag on my charger may fail and cause shrapnel to go into the passenger and driver's area and possibly causing injury. To date I have not heard a word and every time I check up on this recall it says that no remedy is available. I have made repeated calls and emails to Dodge FCA in regards to this and I have never received a response. This is getting quite annoying since my wife rides in my car with me and if the airbag fails the potential for an accident or injury is great. I don't know where else to turn other than you to try and get this remedied. Friends have told me that parts are available but when I go on the Dodge owners app it says nothing is available. I need to get this fixed for peace of mind. My phone number and email is listed at the bottom.
