The auxiliary fuel pump, located inside the passenger cabin under the right rear passenger seat, has been leaking fuel, leading to discoloration of the part and a strong scent of fuel inside the cabin. Additionally, a pool of gasoline sat atop the pump only separated by a thin plastic lid from the electrical cables leading to the battery in the vehicle's trunk. This gasoline could be ignited by the a spark or a short circuit. The Charger and Chrysler 300 from 2005 to 2023 has this design. I don't know if the auxiliary fuel pump cover is any more robust or fire suppressant than the 2014 model I possess. The dealer I took my vehicle to could not find the source of the leak and claimed to not being able to smell the obvious odor of gasoline permeating the vehicle cabin. I found out about it on You Tube, and then showed the obvious fuel link to the technician when I took the vehicle to them a 2nd time.

I was driving to work that morning traveling about 40 into the city when all of a sudden I heard a loud noise, I barely could handle the steering wheel to coast it to the side before it came to a complete hault, I look out my window and my drive shaft broke in 2 pieces was passing me on the main road. Front end was on the side shoulder, back end was out in the road. I jumped out of the truck and grabbed up both ends of my drive shafts and put in the back of my 04 dodge ram truck, then started directing traffic on this busy road of morning commuters. Fluid was everywhere on the road so I'm trying to put sand from the side of the road onto the fluid that was on the road that had leaked out my truck all while directing traffic to keep from creating an accident. An law officer came ask was I alright, I answered explained what had happened and he never took a report instead replied with "Seems like you got everything handled" and got back in his car and drove off. I called for a tow service for their assistance and requested it be took to a shop. Where it now sits unrivaled. It was inspected by the mechanic and learned that the pinyin nut had came off cause my rear end to lock up which caused my drive shaft to come out and when it hit broke it smooth into 2 pieces that caused damage to my transmission case. This could have ended very badly for me that day, I'm thankful that it didn't. But now my truck is tore up do to a faulty manufacturers pinyin nut. And I need my truck fixed so I can work and support my family. This was not my doings. I love my truck very much and desperately need it back up and running

There is a cyclinder 2 misfire which hundreds of people have been effected by. There is electrical issues causing the temperature to not read correctly, side door not working, and rear air vents do not work.

My 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan GT driver side sliding door is jammed shut and locked. I took it to 2 dealerships near me and both want almost $1000 per door to fix. The actuator is out and they said the loud noise when opening and closing the passenger side sliding door is a sign that door is also about to go out. My VIN doesn’t fall into the recalls. This seems like it is a hazard. If both doors indeed get stuck then how do you get car seats in and out? Isn’t it dangerous if other kids have to climb in and out the front doors? I’m so confused how this isn’t a recall when it will be dang near impossible to move car seats and kids through front doors or even moving 3rd row to get in and out and put back up for it to be sat in. What do you do in event of a crash if you can get kids out? Please help!

uConnect system (stereo/radio) is ghost touching and is impairing my driving as it’ll automatically blast my A/C or heat , or worse calls people in my contacts list who I wouldn’t call.. causing me to worry more about my stereo/phone more than driving.

driving over 50 miles an hour on an expressway and vehicle randomly dies. after pulling off road, need to wait 20 minutes and vehicle will start as normal. Major safety concern as some areas do not have shoulders to get car off of road. filed a complaint, in October of 2023, took to authorized Dodge dealer as advised, paid over $800 out of pocket and car still looses all power at high speeds. dodge dealer performed full diagnostics, no codes stored or present in vehicle. Had new key made, software updates, etc, but still dies at high speeds. has occurred over 12 times in past 3 years.

I was driving my van which I have had nothing but trouble with this dodge caravan, go to turn at the intersection and it just shuts off started right back up but starting to turn and it just shut off. Happened twice now, had the battery checked and every thing else seemed good just didn’t know why this happened but it almost got us hot the first time. There are a lot of dodge vans that aren’t included in the S44 recall and our VIN numbers don’t pop up. I mean the air bags are killing people in these dodges now, I’ve had nothing but a hard time with this vehicle. They are unsafe, if I wasn’t poor and could afford a good van and not bottom of the barrel I wouldn’t be dealing with this it seems. But the poor are expendable. I’d rather take my kids in my beat up ford than in my new van. That’s crazy. It’s going to get someone killed if it hasn’t already happened.

Just purchased a 2024 Dodge Hornet for my daughter on [XXX] She was involved in an accident on [XXX]. Cause of the accident was brake failure - as a result of said failure, she stuck a fuel truck going 45 mph on a highway offramp. Airbags did not deploy, seat belt did not lock. Why did this happen on a brand-new vehicle with under 500 miles on it. A witness, who was travelling behind my daughter at the time, corroborated that the Dodge Hornet's brake lights were illuminated/functioning right up to impact with the fuel truck. There were also no skid marks from the tires leading up to the collision. Very frustrated and disappointed that my 21-year-old daughter was subjected to a faulty 53k vehicle, and hope that other families do not experience the same, or worse results when purchasing a similar vehicle for their children. I was driving my vehicle and the engine light came on with cruise control one time and abs brake lighta another time. When I got it checked by a mechanic, I was told it was clamshaft and crankshaft and that it was under a recall for my specific make and model and to take it to Dodge dealership. I did so and they ean a diagnostic test that tevealed exactly what I told them the mechanic told me and that it was not under recall and would be $2900 to fix. I argued that there is a recall for my specific make and model for the exact issue and was told to call Chrysler. I called and spoke with them and was told my vin doesn't pop up for thr recall even though my same year, make and model is having the same specific issue and that there was nothing they can do. I drive my vehicle to take my son to school and go to work as a nurse, caring for others. I was told that my vehicle may power off in the middle of driving because of the faulty sensor, potentially causing harm to myself, my loved ones and others on the road for an issue that my same make, model and year vehicle has a recall for that my vin number doesn't come up for.

The contact owned a 2020 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving at 12 MPH and attempting to complete a right turn, the vehicle suddenly began to jerk left to right. As a result, the contact briefly lost control of the vehicle, coming to a complete stop after colliding with a pole that pierced through the vehicle and protruded out from the center console. Upon exiting the vehicle, the contact observed flames emanating from the engine compartment. Local fire services were not called, as the fire had dissipated on its own. The air bags did deploy, but the contact stated that the left curtain side air bag failed to fully deploy, resulting in injury. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed a total loss by the contact's insurance provider. A fire report was not filed. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact transported himself to an area hospital and was treated for a minor concussion and a laceration to his left leg. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was unknown.
