My car transmission is shot, I'm requesting a recall, my car was recalled for transmission problems immediately after on market. I don't know what was all fixed , but sure wasn't fixed. When in gear the car would sometimes loose power and then rev up and the car would jerk. I replaced everything possible, I had bought a warranty extension and was continusing getting one part after another fixed, I called to report a claim after just getting a recall for the shift cable recall repair done to have my car diagnosis done again, and my warranty was up, the car has so many new parts and I love my car, I can't drive it, needs transmission rebuilt, I kept telling the warranty insurance and they ignored it. Now I can't drive it, I'm not pleased at all, I had to continue to make payments on my car for a year and couldn't drive i The transmission should have been replaced, they are responsible for my transmission. Wouldn't go in gear, would shoot off and switch gears, rev up why driving, then would have to have towed, fixed everything but the transmission which I reported non-stop, they did nothing about it, then told me, there's nothing we can do your warranty expired today. So I am requesting a recall, the transmission was recalled right after Market I don't think they fixed it right to begin with, it's a shame to have a vehicle that just sits in the garage and collects dust. The manufacturer and warranty insurance are responsible for repairing my transmission so I can drive the car , I paid for!

The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system warning light was illuminated. The contact began to head back home when another vehicle blew its horn and informed them of a fire coming from under the front driver's side of the vehicle. The contact immediately stopped the vehicle and was able to safely exit. The fire expanded and consumed the front of the vehicle. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. I am filing a complaint regarding a known defect with the rear racetrack taillight assembly on the 2017 Dodge Durango GT. The rear racetrack taillight allows water and moisture to enter the sealed housing. Over time, this causes condensation buildup, corrosion, and partial or complete failure of the LED lighting. In my case, the racetrack light has gone out and shows visible water inside the assembly. This issue creates a safety concern because the rear lighting becomes dim or nonfunctional, reducing visibility to other drivers, especially at night or during rain. In some cases, the electrical issues may also affect other vehicle lighting or electrical components. This problem is widely reported by many Dodge Durango owners across multiple model years, yet the taillight assembly design has not been properly corrected. Owners are often required to replace the entire racetrack taillight at high cost, even though the failure is due to a design defect rather than wear and tear. I believe this issue should be formally investigated, acknowledged, and addressed through a recall or manufacturer-supported repair, as it impacts vehicle safety and visibility. + Affects IPC and electrical of vehicle where dimming is not happening and flashes which could lead to IPC failure and high costs additionally. Thank you for reviewing this complaint.

**Subject:** Request for Investigation – Dodge Durango Taillight Water Intrusion and Safety Hazard To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally request that the National Highway Transportation Administration (NHTSA) investigate a widespread and potentially dangerous manufacturing flaw affecting Dodge Durango vehicles. Both my vehicle and a significant number of other Dodge Durango owners have experienced a recurring issue where water enters the taillight assembly. This intrusion causes the taillights to malfunction, resulting in the lights going out unexpectedly. This defect not only compromises vehicle safety by reducing visibility and signaling capability, but also poses a risk of further electrical damage. In some cases, owners have reported concerns about potential electrical failures and even fire hazards due to water exposure within the taillight housing. Given the prevalence of this issue among Dodge Durango owners, I strongly urge the NHTSA to conduct a thorough investigation and require the manufacturer to address this defect. Importantly, any corrective action should be provided at no out-of-pocket cost to affected vehicle owners, as this is a clear manufacturing flaw that impacts safety and reliability. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to your response and to seeing appropriate action taken to protect consumers and ensure vehicle safety. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] . INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The Center Display Screen on about 18,800 of the above vehicles may have been built with a defect, which may result in the rearview image not displaying in a backing event. A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle. A blank screen will appear in place of the rearview image. If the driver does not heed the blank screen warning and fails to otherwise make sure it is safe to operate the vehicle in reverse, a vehicle crash can occur.

The 3.6L Pentastar engine for this year has been shown to be highly problematic. We have had the #2 and now the #1 cylinder heads fail, causing misfires, poor engine performance and complete failure. We’ve also had multiple injectors fail, #2 (twice), 4 & 5. The engine failure is a safety issue and has been proven as such.
