2024 FORD F-150 Complaints

Truck console shifter lever was shifted in Neutral. The automatic return to park feature was engaged by opening the driver door while the vehicle was stopped. The dash indicates the vehicle was in park but the shifter was stuck in the Neutral position. A tow truck was necessary because the shift lever would not return to the park position, and control of the shift lever is necessary in order to use the neutral over ride feature of the truck. Making it difficult for a tow truck to load the vehicle.

The vehicle has been in the shop two times due to rodents eating the wiring. Wiring insulation is derived from a plant (soy) based oil, which rodents eat. The truck could have had wiring eaten in any number of areas leading to loss of control.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the oil change warning light illuminated. The service warning light was reset but the issue became a regular occurrence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the service light needed to be reset each time the light became illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 10,000.

Water leak coming from above head speakers when raining apparently cause by faulty sunroof and/or components of sunroof. Can potentially cause a serious safety issue if water drips into the face/eyes of vehicle operator when driving. Dealer service center unable to reproduce the problem but consistently happens with significant rain. Dealer states a drain was not properly connected and was repaired but leak has not been fixed. Vehicle has been looked at two times by the dealer and they were unable to find the cause of the problem. No warning messages were given from the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150 equipped with Pirelli Tires, Tire Line: Scorpion ATR, Tire Size: 275/60/R20, DOT Number: [XXX] . The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds in the rain, the vehicle hydroplaned on three separate occasions. The contact decelerated to 35 MPH. The contact stated that the vehicle went towards the left of the roadway. The contact was able to maintain control of the vehicle. The contact called the local dealer and was referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The vehicle was taken to a tire center to replace the tires. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact about completing a complaint form. The tire failure mileage was 16,000 and the vehicle failure mileage was approximately 16,750. Only while towing trailers (ours were under 3500 lbs) the vehicle stutters and shakes that replicates transmission shifting or brakes surging on and off. Tried towing another trailer and it reacted the same way. Neither trailer have electrical brakes and were both connected to a four flat wiring. Most vibrations were above 45mph.

The vehicle lost both cruise control functions (adaptive and normal) during the drive and will only reset to normal cruise control after shutting off vehicle and restarting it. Then it will only work on normal cruise control temporarily.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was idling very rough. Additionally, the contact stated that while refueling the vehicle, with the fuel gauge indicating 20-miles to empty, the contact was unable to properly place the nozzle into the fuel filler neck, causing fuel to spill from the vehicle. The contact stated that fuel spilled on the contact and his wife on separate occasions. The contact stated that the vehicle required twenty minutes to refuel and automatically stopped refueling at three-quarter tank full. The contact used a screwdriver to enlarge the fuel filler neck. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. Another dealer, Natchez Ford Parts (14 Seargent Prentiss St., Natchez, MS 39120), was contacted but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.

The 2024 f-150 3.5L Ecoboost engine has a rough idle when the truck is in park or while sitting at a stop light. At times it will come and go and others it will be a constant vibration that you can feel in the steering wheel and seat. The engine also has an acceleration hesitation right after the first start of the day and usually goes away after driving a couple of minutes.
