2015 FORD TAURUS Complaints

Fuel pump control module failure. No start intermittent. Could have been stuck 5 hours away if it would've been a week earlier. No warning lights or indications previously.

my vehicle suddenly has a wrench light pop up and the car stalls out. still runs but wont accelerate . this has happened three time to me on the interstate. took car to 3 separate mechanics and no codes were coming up. the car always starts up after it turned off but this is very dangerous. i couldve been killed.

I was driving with my wife on the highway on June 26th, 2021. As I was going around a turn to the right I had a warning come up saying to service advance trac. Right as that happened my steering wheel locked up straight almost causing me to crash. I do not know what could have caused this. I have gotten both my battery and alternator checked and they both are completely fine. I am getting my recall taken care of on Thursday July the 6th so it will be looked over then to see what may have been the cause of it but a toe link would not cause something like this to happen. Ive asked family members that have been mechanics for over 10 years that don’t know what could have caused that to happen.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD TAURUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE TO RESUME NORMAL DRIVING. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS TO START-UP AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY DISCOVERED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP WHICH THE CONTACT HAD REPLACED. HOWEVER RECENTLY, WHILE DRIVING 44 MPH THE FAILURE RETURNED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED HIM THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V621000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,436.
