2015 FORD TAURUS Complaints

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle would not start. The contact stated that after several attempts, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle inadvertently shut off. The contact stated that the failure had occurred in 2020. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed fuel pump and failed modulator. The vehicle was repaired. The failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a failed fuel pump. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,916.

Was driving and the accelerator/has pedal stopped working. A wrench indicator came on. The engine stopped working. I pulled to the side of the road and the engine started shaking. I turned the engine off then restarted it. It functioned fine. This happened twice in 2 days. It's the electronic throttle body. Ford won't fix the issue for free. It has 44k miles on it. An obvious manufacturer defect

Water pump is defective, leaks, and provides no warning in system. Replacing is unbelievably expensive ($5,000 for a water pump, but inside engine so extensive labor) and Ford needs to perform a recall as it can create major motor damage rendering the vehicle inoperable. Had to replace ours this past summer and now our daughter's 2013 Lincoln MKS has the same issue for same unbelievable expense and now we have to monitor our 2013 Ford Explorer for potential same issue. NO WARNING LIGHTS! TOO EXPENSIVE for consumers to repair! Please, do right thing and make FORD responsible. Under 150K miles on each vehicle!

Car will lose ability to accelerate, violently shakes. You can pull over, shut the car off then start up again and it will work until later. Throws a code saying to see owners manual, the owners manual says to take to dealership for repairs.

Steering failed while moving slowly, reset procedure failed, will have to tow for repairs unsafe to drive, mileage 60,000, highly maintained

The location of the vehicle's transmission valve body assembly subjects it to excessively high heat which subsequently causes it to fail. The vehicle was purchased used with 35,115 miles and the valve body assembly failed at 58,344 miles. Since owned, the vehicle has been well maintained and always driven in a careful, safe and cautious manner. The dealership refused to cover the repair under warranty.

My 2015 Ford Taurus goes into limp mode because of inadequate air flow across the Throttle Body Actuator. Scanner results show the Throttle Body Actuator as the problem issue. I have sprayed cleaner in the butterfly spring but the vehicle is still going into limp mode after driving it only a few miles after spraying the cleaner. It could be the throttle body has issues or it could be one of the sensors. At any rate, having the vehicle go into limp mode while driving 80 MPH down the freeway is a very dangerous situation. It has put me in precarious positions and it is clear that the Throttle Body is the issue.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Taurus. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH, the steering wheel became very firm, with the vehicle independently jerking to the right. The contact had to use excessive force to return the vehicle to center lane. The contact pulled off the road and turned off and restarted the vehicle and the vehicle regained power steering functionality. The contact stated that the failure occurred two more times. The contact stated that an unknown warning light flashed on but did not illuminate a second time. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the electric power steering assist booster needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 147,000.

NO IT APPEARS FROM WHAT I'VE FOUND ON THE INTERNET, FORD IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM THAT CAUSES THE MALFUNCTION IN QUESTION. BASED ON WHAT I'VE READ IT APPEARS TO BE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT, AND THE BURDEN OF REPAIR IS PUT ON THE CONSUMER.

Rear camera is not responding resulting in the inability to see persons or objects in fear camera screen while in reverse. It stopped working on 08/13/2021. The screen states " contact the dealer " error message. Touch Screen not responding to access settings for rear camera, climate, navigation, ect.
