I want to file a complaint regarding the recall issued for my car. I am concerned that Genesis has not issued a resolution at all and suggests parking the car. If it's unsafe and could ignite itself on fire, a remedy should be issued immediately. Offer us a different model and year or fix the issue. This is people's lives at stake.

Recall number 1 from 2022 was just complete at Homer Skelton Hyundai in Olive Branch Mississippi on around [XXX]. Now this 2024 recall which is major involving over 30,000 vehicles as of today with the fire hazard is very very suspect. I received a letter 5 months ago and have not been able to drive my car because I may die. THAT'S THE TRUTH. Genesis has ceased all communication with myself and countless others, have not found a resolution and has directed us not to reach out to them again. They will not provide a rental car not any assistance and options. I want to speak with an Attorney. My daughter purchased this vehicle not even a year ago, paid cash for it and I only drove it less than 3 months. Genesis has billions I'm sure and they should not be able to get away with this. Just greedy and do not care. If those Asian Engineers can scam upon all kinds of secrets and violations with the United States I'm sure they can find a solution to this they are just trying to be cheap. I am furious that I have to ask people to take me everywhere for over 5 months. Being a woman of a particular age and on disability. What are the next steps? [XXX] ....... The vehicle is advertised as supporting 48amp level 2 charging. After approximately one year of ownership, high amperage charging lead to overheating at the charging port, causing charging to produce errors and fail. Hyundai/Genesis released a software patch to detect overheating and throttle the amperage. This does not resolve the physical hardware that is overheating. This solution leaves the car in an unsafe operating posture where overheating could continue, leading to potentially unsafe circumstances when the vehicle is located in a garage attached to a home.
