2023 GMC YUKON XL- Cincinnati, OH
On August 17th, 2026 while approaching a nature preserve entrance at approximately 1 mph, my 2023 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate suddenly accelerated on its own, without the driver pressing the accelerator pedal, striking a split-rail fence and a tree. Airbags did not deploy. The front collision system didn't issue any alerts about the fence and tree. A GM software update had been installed a couple of days before this incident . In the weeks prior, the vehicle had also intermittently failed to hold side mirror position and periodically failed to deploy the power running boards. I request that GM and NHTSA investigate a possible link between the recent software update and an unintended acceleration event, potentially related to the adaptive cruise control or another driver-assist/body control module.

Engine shut off with no warning, all electronics disabled and couldn't shift out of park. Was driving down the road at approximately 50mph, Yukon shifted itself into neutral. Vehicle previously complied with the 25V-274 recall and passed, was operating on the new oil that GM recommended.

2024 GMC YUKON- Wichita, KS
This is a supplemental report to my original complaint (NHTSA ID XXX) regarding my 2024 GMC Yukon (VIN [XXX]). I am providing additional detail: prior to GM's recall being issued, I contacted Hatchett Buick GMC by phone and visited in person on multiple occasions reporting engine sputtering, stalling, hesitation, and total loss of power and electrical shutdown while driving. I was repeatedly told these were minor issues not affecting anyone and not to worry about them. As a result, the vehicle was not formally serviced for these issues until September 2025 — roughly three months after the recall was finally announced, more than a year after I purchased the vehicle. Since that recall repair and a subsequent "best guess" repair performed by GM technicians (their own description, not mine), the vehicle continues to sputter, hesitate, stall, and intermittently lose power. I have ongoing safety concerns driving this vehicle INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2021 GMC SIERRA 1500- LAFAYETTE, LA
While driving down an isolated 2 lane road in West Texas, the engine in my 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 began making knocking sounds and vibrating badly. The truck's acceleration was extremely sluggish and the vibration worsened at slow speeds. I was able to slowly make my way back towards a dealership, where the diagnostic teardown revealed a bent pushrod and camshaft damage.

2021 GMC ACADIA- Nacogdoches, TX
While driving the brake vacuum pump exploded leading to catastrophic brake failure. My husband was driving and was able to stand on the brakes to get the car to stop, but had i been driving, I am not strong enough to have stopped the car. I have 3 children with my youngest being 1. If this had happened with me and my kids, we could have had a major wreck and/or DIED! GM is aware of the brake vacuum pump issues but does not have a recall on the part. The braske assist light did not come on the dash until brakes were lost.

2022 GMC SIERRA 1500- Humble, TX
I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding my 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali (5.3L engine). This vehicle has exhibited a pattern of severe electrical, fuel system, and active safety sensor failures that pose a direct threat to occupant and public safety. At approximately 4,000 miles, the high-pressure fuel injectors suffered an early-stage mechanical failure requiring dealer repair. At approximately 24,000 miles, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic, un-warned total power shutdown while driving in the middle of active, fast-moving 5:00 PM rush-hour traffic on a 100-degree day in [XXX]. The vehicle completely stalled, causing a loss of standard driving capabilities and leaving the occupants stranded without air conditioning or cabin ventilation in an incredibly high-risk, live-traffic environment. The dealership attributed the failure to the fuel pump switch/control module. The vehicle's active safety framework is deeply compromised. The forward-facing front collision camera and its integrated crash-avoidance sensors have completely failed and required a minimum of three (3) separate repair interventions, yet the safety system remains broken and unreliable. The vehicle exhibits phantom electrical bugs. The MultiPro tailgate audio system consistently turns itself on while the vehicle is parked, locked, and closed, hijacking the driver's phone Bluetooth from inside the home. While driving down the road, the internal cabin radio will abruptly cut out and begin blasting audio through the exterior tailgate speakers, creating a severe driver distraction. The dealership has repeatedly dismissed these electrical safety anomalies as untraceable.3. The contact owns a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated, and an oil message was displayed. The vehicle stalled and was unable to be restarted. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred approximately two weeks later. The vehicle was taken to a different dealer but was not yet diagnosed. 2026 GMC SIERRA 1500- Meridian, ID
I bought the vehicle brand new in april 2026. On May 3rd, approximately 2 weeks after I bought it, I experienced a lifter failure that caused metal to get into the oil pan/engine and the engine needed to be replaced. About a month later after repairs were complete, I picked up my vehicle on a Friday night, and the very next morning, had issues again. Took it back to the dealer and a fuel injector went bad and needed to be replaced. I recently attempted to use the remote start feature and as soon as it fired up, the engine cut out. I went to start it again and the check engine light came on. My GMC app said the code was transmission related, although it cleared on its on the next morning after a software update.

2026 GMC SIERRA 1500- Meridian, ID
Bought the vehicle brand new at the end of april. 2 weeks later and at 557 miles, the engine had a lifter failure and needed to be replaced. One day after picking it up after the engine replacement, a fuel injector went bad and needed to be replaced. About 2 days ago, the check engine light lit up, and the GMC app said it was a code for the transmission system (popped on after attempting to remote start the vehicle, although the light did shut off on its own the next day after a software update on the vehicle)

2020 GMC SIERRA 1500- Hortnese, GA
The 5.3L Engine active fuel management failure problem. This known problem with the GMC motors was not disclosed by any dealerships or the manufacturer. While driving down the roadway, the truck had an engine malfunction and I was fortunate enough to be able to safely pull over. The check engine light activated and I took it to the dealer the next day. I was informed by the dealer that this was a known, common issue that GM was aware of but was not offering assistance. I had to pay $11,000 out-of-pocket because of this.
