2022 GMC TERRAIN- ELIZABETH CITY, NC
Read • 9:59 PM I am formally requesting a VIN eligibility review under GM Customer Assistance Case #XXX. Vehicle: 2022 GMC Terrain VIN: [XXX] DTC: P129F Recall: N252516900 – Fuel Pump Power Control Module I was advised that my VIN is “not included” in the recall. I am requesting that GM reconsider and formally document the basis for that determination. GM’s XXX revision of N252516900-01 states that the phased launch was complete and that all VINs had been placed in an Open status in GM’s Investigate Vehicle History (IVH) system. The bulletin specifically identifies the 2022 GMC Terrain as an affected model. Additionally, GM previously issued engineering information specifically concerning 2022 GMC Terrain vehicles experiencing DTC P129F, including situations involving failure to start and/or stalling. Because my vehicle experienced P129F, I am requesting: A formal VIN eligibility review for N252516900. Confirmation of what GM’s IVH system shows for VIN [XXX]. A written explanation of why my VIN is excluded if GM determines it is not eligible. Documentation of my P129F failure under Case #XXX. Review of whether my vehicle’s failure is consistent with the condition addressed by N252516900. Review of reimbursement eligibility for any qualifying repairs or expenses associated with this failure. Please do not close Case #XXX until this VIN-specific review has been completed and the basis for GM’s determination has been provided. I am requesting that this matter be escalated to the appropriate GM technical/recall authority if Customer Assistance cannot resolve the VIN eligibility issue. Thank you. 2023 GMC YUKON- Thomasville, GA
While driving down [XXX] in [XXX] engine had a major failure causing the loss of power and control of the vehicle going interstate speed. Luckily no accidents and no injuries or fatalities. All the these vehicles using the 6.2L engines made by GM should be bought back by GM at full purchase price. A few months ago my vehicle underwent the recall procedure and passed. So the recall process is incomplete and shows no real problem solving procedures, These vehicles are a ticking time bomb to all the owners and fellow motorists. 2026 GMC YUKON XL- Enid, OK
Engine blew at 8,762 miles in the middle of the night with 3 small kids in the car. Currently 41 days waiting for a new engine. We were driving and it started making a clapping sound like something was caught underneath. We had to drive a could miles to find a safe place to pull over. If we increased speed, the clapping increased and it slowed when we slowed. Hauled it to the local dealership and they said it was the engine. The dealership it was purchased at says the same thing. There was no warning. After a couple of miles of the clicking/clamping sound, the car started to shake and then died. There were no warnings or light on the dash of any signs of distress until it died. It was a couple of miles before we even had a safe place to pull over on the side of the highway. Going 70mph on a highway that is posted to be 70mph with 3 kids in the car, in the middle of the night, put my family’s life in danger along with other cars behind us. Clearly safety and quality isn’t GM’s top priority. This is our 5th Yukon. Our 13th General Motors vehicle. To say we are disappointed is an understatement when we have been devoted to GM for over a decade.

2025 GMC SIERRA 1500- Morris, IL
The 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 with 18,675 miles and the 6.2 gas engine failed during a road trip. I was on my way from [XXX] to [XXX] on the Interstate when about 7 hours in, just outside [XXX]. I was noticing a lack in power when I pulled out of a rest area. The truck would not accelerate over 60mph. I slowed down and as I was pulling off the side of the interstate, the truck died. There was knocking sound as I started to pull over. I attempted to restart the vehicle; it did not restart. I called roadside assistance and the tow truck to myself and the truck into Edwards Chevrolet Cadillac in [XXX]. They diagnosed the issue as spun or bad bearing in the engine, and it would need replaced. They told me that the last 6.2 engine took 60+ days to receive and they were now on backorder, plus they already had a truck in the shop waiting for one. There were no warning indicators on the console, and all my service has been done at GM dealers. The biggest safety issue was being stuck on the side of the interstate with rushing semi's going by. I was also going to be stuck in [XXX] until a resolution was found. I ended up purchasing a new 2026 GMC Denali Ultimate with the 3.0 diesel. It was the closest package that was on my 2025 and I wanted to stay the same, minus the 6.2 engine. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2020 GMC SIERRA 1500- Waleska, GA
Piston 5 dropped compression to 120 the rest were 190-200. The engine failed therefore none of my parking assist sensors were working and I backed into a car because the truck was misfiring.

2020 GMC SIERRA 1500- Lubbock, TX
Our 2020 GMC SIERRA 1500 has suffered catastrophic systems and engine failure including the brakes multiple times for almost 4 years. It has happened in high traffic and on the interstate each time having to be coasted off of the road to come to a rolling stop. There have been nine repair attempts with GM dealers repeatedly stating the issues were repaired and returning our vehicle to us. We began making the CEO and Executive team aware of the potentially deadly safety hazards including the fact that I, [XXX] am disabled and power wheelchair dependent requiring a truck that can carry my power wheelchair. We have sent numerous emails to Ms. [XXX] and the Executive team numerous times informing them in detail, each time, of all issues involved. We started communicating via phone and email with customer care to no avail. All attempts at repair finally ended in complete engine failure leaving us with an estimate to replace the engine of over $13,000. We have also, submitted a detailed complaint to the Attorney General’s Office and after review were given the Case # TCP - XXX. I will attach the Complaint and Addendum sent to the Attorney General along with two of the emails sent to Ms. [XXX] and her team informing her of all issues with the truck. They took no action to actually help us get this truck off of the road knowing it was having catastrophic engine and system failure and that it had to be driven to transport a disabled power wheel dependent with severe medical issues and the medically necessary power wheelchair. I am also attaching the earliest OnStar Diagnostic notice of Engine, Transmission and Emissions system issues from May of 2023. The issues have remained the same from the beginning only worsening though my husband has only driven the truck in town on slower less busy streets learning how to make adjustments such as pumping the brakes and starting and stopping the truck to keep it going. My carrier is installed and yet it is undrivable. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIO

2021 GMC YUKON- Springfield, IL
I was driving down the highway and all at once a bunch of different lights and emergency warnings started flashing on my dashboard and my car was almost like sputtering like it wasn’t getting the gas it needed or something. You could feel lots of movement right up front and I was forced to pull over and get towed. They said the engine would need to be completely replaced.

2024 GMC YUKON- BELLEVILLE, IL
The 6.2 GMC engine has been replaced. I took my Yukon in for a oil change, on the second engine, the tech said that it now has a new oil synthetic 0-40, and I have to have the oil changed every 3 thousand miles. I checked with a couple of mechanics and they all said, synthetic is good for at least 5 thousand miles, and just thicker oil will not solve the engine problems that have plagued GM. I am bringing this to your attention as these vehicles are pretty much worthless in the marketplace, and as such GM should refund or exchange for the 2027, with the new motors.

2021 GMC YUKON XL- Spring, TX
2022 GMC Yukon XL suffered catastrophic transmission failure at approximately 87,000 miles. An ASE-certified transmission repair facility determined that the torque converter failed, resulting in transmission damage requiring over $7,000 in repairs. GM declined any assistance solely because the repair was performed by an independent ASE-certified facility. I am concerned that a major transmission component failure at this mileage may represent a broader defect, particularly given transmission-related service bulletins and NHTSA Recall 26V085 affecting certain 2022 Yukon XL vehicles.
