2017 GMC SIERRA 1500- Menomonie, WI
Transmission Hard shifts 1-2 or 2-3 Delayed engagement into Drive/Reverse Shudder at 30–60 mph Slipping under light throttle Clunk when stopping The risk I've described to the dealer is that the hard shifts at stop and go in heavy traffic situations could cause and accident. Yes the issue has been confirmed at the dealer and they replaced the transmission. That did not resolve the issue. It has not been inspected. No warnings.

2020 GMC TERRAIN- Colton, CA
While driving my brakes failed. I was unable to stop my car, my brake pedal became very stiff and I could not stop my car. There were no warning signs or lights on indicating there were any issues with my car prior to this happening. I had to have my car towed to the dealer. The current estimate is for a vacuum pump failure resulting in camshaft damage. Both need to be replaced. I see other GMC cars were recalled for what appears to be a similar issue. I am lucky no one was injured as this could have very easily resulted in a fatal event. I have never heard of such a thing happening before and am beyond belief that this has occurred. This is the third repair I've had done this year. I have also replaced a booter pipe and valve gasket due to leaking oil. The amount of repairs required in such a short a time seems excessive.

2023 GMC YUKON- Duxbury, MA
I bought my 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate on or around August 9 2023, and I bought it brand new. On May 28 2024, around 30k miles, I was on the highway and could no longer accelerate. I luckily got myself into the breakdown lane before my car shut down & lost power, ended up being towed to the closest dealership. After 18 days at the dealership, I finally had my car back with a "new engine". Fast forward to November 25, 2025, I was on the highway again, my dash lit up telling me to "press start". As i figured that was not a good idea while driving in the fast lane on the highway, I did not. in a panic I got myself over to the breakdown lane where my car turned off. This time (November 2025), I still had power, but no car turnover. After 6 days of my car sitting at the dealership, they finally had the time to look at the issue. The Dealership did the recall and got the car started, but the car still had a funny sound that the mechanics didn’t like , so they were waiting to hear back from higher up people as to what to do. Today I got the call that they will be replacing the engine for a second time and I will not have my car back until the first week of January. There were zero warning lamps, Zero Symptoms, nothing. I am Lucky that the Highway wasn’t too busy in that moment, because there were many 18 wheelers on the road that day, and one almost swerved into my car missing it by about two feet while my dead car sat in the breakdown lane. Yes I called the state police, Yes one trooper kindly pulled behind me to ask if I was safe and had a tow on the way. But that truck that nearly plowed into my dead car could have prevented me from picking my [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] daughters up from school, forever . To say that I am disgusted with GM, is an understatement. They’re risking lives. I should not fear for my life, my kids lives in a new, "safe" vehicle. No pun intended, but this is highway robbery. 2025 GMC YUKON- Saint John, IN
I bought a brand new 2025 GMC Yukon AT4 3.0 Diesel on 8/16/25 (had 213 miles on). A month later, with only 2000 miles on the vehicle, I was driving down the road and got a warning "reduced acceleration, drive with caution". Car would hardly accelerate. Had it towed to the dealer on 9/22/25. They found metal shavings in the engine oil. Said there was a quarter inch play around the camshaft (manufacture defect). Told me I need a completely new engine. It's now 12/2/25 and I still don't have a car, and mine hasn't been repaired.

2023 GMC YUKON- cypress, TX
GM has failed to resolve repeated issues on my vehicle (VIN: [XXX] ). I was never notified of any official buyback denial. GM Customer Assistance continues to avoid clarifying the status and refuses to provide documentation of the denial. This creates an unresolved safety and reliability concern. I need an investigation into the consistent mechanical defects paired with GM’s refusal to properly process my claim. Truck started with a knocking noise in the engine that developed into a grinding noise. Dealer Service Department inspected and did a transmission tear down only to discover the issue is with the excessive play in the crankshaft. At 13K miles, the service department has stated the entire engine needs to be replaced.
