I bought a car in early 2024 ive had it for 1.5y I recently went to trade it in for something more suitable for me and they ran a carfax and mileage rollback popped up and I had no clue to begin with. They rolled back 100,000 miles on the vehicle. They’re blaming the finance company but they can’t because the finance company never had the vehicle in there possession

My vehicle continues to consume oil. It consumes approximately 1 quart of oil every 1 thousand miles. As a Retired/Disabled Veteran this has become a safety concern for me and my family as I'm concerned this vehicle will leave us stranded.

  • 2019 GMC ACADIA
    - Elkhart, IN

I do not have current recall on my vehicle, but my vehicle is experiencing the "Shift to Park" issue that many of the same year make and model mine is experiencing. I am unsure why my vehicle would not have one. It is messing up the transmission and I have only had this vehicle for a year from a dealership. I feel it is unsafe to drive as the vehicle does not always register that it is in park. I can feel the transmission slipping because of this. I would really appreciate some support for this. It is a 2019 GMC Acadia, which is also apart of the other vehicles that are apart of a lawsuit in Ohio and other states. This is a safety hazard for myself and my family.

There is a continuing issue with the shifter causing a "Shift to Park" message that is resulting in the vehicle electrical system not turning off. This is causing the vehicle to drain the battery and not able to lock the vehicle while the "Shift to Park" message is displayed on the instrument panel. Concerned not only what is mentioned above but mainly concerned in not knowing if the vehicle is truly in park that may cause the vehicle to roll.

My engine has a loud knocking/ticking noise. I have had one mechanic look at it. He has me taking my truck to a dealership this week. He believes the known issue with GMC's 6.2 engine is taking place in the engine in my 2019. From a verbal conversation with the dealership, they believe the same. I was advised to complete this form ASAP.

On October 23rd at approximately 0900-0915 hours I arrived at a friends house located at [XXX] . As I normally do, I pulled up into the driveway which has a pretty significant incline. I shifted the column shifter into park, and turned off the vehicle via the push button ignition switch. The parking brake/hill brake system automatically engaged as per normal operation. I exited the vehicle and before I could shut the door, the vehicle began to roll backwards. The driver's side door hit me in the right shoulder which pushed me to my left and caused me to roll my left ankle due to the down slope of the driver way. While I felt immense pain in my right ankle, I was able to jump back into the truck and slam on the brakes, causing both rear wheels to lock up and skid in the driveway. I then turned back on the vehicle, noting that the transmission position was still in park, and the parking brake/hill brake was still engaged. I had to disengage the push button parking brake/hill-brake, shift the vehicle from park into drive to move back up the driveway. This time I ensured that the vehicle did not move after following the exact same steps. My truck under went an approximately 30 minute software "upgrade" approximately 2.5 weeks ago. I believe there was an issue where the park sensor did not fully engage, leading the vehicle to believe it was still in an operational gear, however it does not explain how it was able to not only over-ride the parking/hill-brake itself, as well as allow me to shut the vehicle off and exit the vehicle. This safety hazard has caused me an injury that has already caused me to miss 48 hours of work (I am a federal firefighter) and will require more missed time should surgery be required. There were no warning lamps, the backup camera was not engaged, the only audible sound was the beep that the vehicle makes when engaging the parking brake automatically.
