Defective out cool oil return line on v8 6.2L engine. Causing the truck to lose oil immediately due to being under pressure. Caused complete engine failure and required a new engine. That took 4-5 months to complete. Located in park city Utah a cold weather location. Not part of the 2019 recall for the same failure that gmc did in Canada and Alaska for a defective cool oil return line. When I called gmc to talk about it they referenced my vin and said it had no open issues and that they couldn’t talk about it.

The contact stated that upon scanning the vehicle, the contact retrieved DTC: P0606 and P062B. The contact related the failure to GM Campaign Number: N232415860 (Fuel Injector Flow Rate Compensation). The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that a fee would be charged for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

My car said to me this not that there is something wrong with the Service Safety Restraint system! It was fine last night when I got home! I just bought this car a month ago and everything was fine and now my air bag light is on and will not go off!

The engine had catastrophic failure McCluskey Chevrolet Kings Auto Mall said it needs an engine replacement that has a blown engine. There is currently a recall on this particular 6.2 l87 engine from 2019 to 2024 but my vehicle for some reason isn't included but it's got the same problems as all the other ones

Service Trailer Braking System alert intermittent & ongoing for months. Electrical fault? Possible fuse problem? Stranded with kids because car wouldn’t start. Later conducted diagnostics on battery and starter, both normal.

The contact was informed that the camshaft, bearings, and lifters in cylinder #4 had failed. The vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. However, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000.

The check engine light went off and started blinking. The engine started making ticking noise. I pulled over. The check engine light kept blinking. I had the truck towed to the Chevy Dealership. They found damage to the lifter and camshaft. They had the truck for over 2 weeks. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. But the repair still cost me 1,200.00 dollars out of pocket. And cost the warranty company over 9,000.00 dollars

While towing a trailer on Highway 77 in northern Wisconsin, my 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 experienced a sudden engine failure. The dashboard lit up with alerts for the engine, transmission, ABS, and traction control. I safely pulled over in a 55 mph zone with narrow shoulders and heavy truck traffic due to nearby road construction. The truck had regular service at independent shops, and I had checked and topped off the oil that morning. Lahti Towing & Service recovered the vehicle, changed the oil (no metal shavings), and replaced the camshaft sensor, but the truck still wouldn’t start. They then towed it to Rhinelander GMC, where a broken timing chain was diagnosed, requiring a full engine replacement. The vehicle is currently at Rhinelander GMC and available for inspection. I have photos of the dashboard alerts and data from the GM app documenting the incident.

Engine failure 6.2L cylinder failure. Recall already in effect for other years. But it seems that it is needed to be expanded. I had to do a complete engine replacement and all oil related components. Metal was found easily in the oil and oil filter. I was luckily in a parking ramp when it happened so I did not crash. I was already driving for 45 minutes prior on the interstate. Could have been very dangerous at high rate of speed.
