2022 GMC SIERRA 1500- Choctaw, OK
See attached document for complaint. I'm writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding the excessive delay in resolving the recall issued for my vehicle. While I understand that safety recalls can involve complex logistics, the prolonged timeframe without any clear resolution has created both an inconvenience and a safety risk for me and other vehicle owners affected by the same issue.

The transmission control mod is bad. This is a persistent problem and that's why it is on back order for up to a year. It is unethical to not issue a recall as customers have to continue to pay for the vehicle while not getting a replacement of equal capabilities. I bought a 3/4 ton truck to haul for work, not getting something that can do the same while a pay $1000+ a month is wrong. For the NHTSA not to get involved, issue some sort of recall, and allow GM to continue to take people's money while their vehicles depreciate is wrong. Is this so the government can get paid back from GM for the bailout 15 years ago?

At low idle speeds like in a parking lot we almost hit another car because the brakes were very hard to press. No power brakes. Felt as I was having to stand on the brake pedal with both feet to stop my vehicle from hitting another car at a grocery store parking lot going 5 mph! A light flashes on and says”service brake assist “ light goes away and drives normal and brakes normal except when you get to a stop sign, or traffic light. This happens a few times and I’m not driving the car because of it because I might hit someone

In heads up display i was driving down at 74 mph in cruise control with nobody around or in front to cause the vehicle to suddenly come to a complete stop by its self, I had to hit the accelerator so we wouldn't get rear ended. Then when we got home I was backing in my driveway and the automatic brakes locked up stopping me from backing up.

2020 GMC SIERRA 1500- Saugus, MA
Vehicle: 2020 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 (VIN: [XXX] ) Description of the Problem: My 2020 GMC Sierra Denali has developed serious engine problems that create unsafe driving conditions. On [XXX], I documented loud knocking and clicking noises coming from the engine. The vehicle also shows warning lights and unpredictable performance. Because of these defects: •I cannot safely drive the truck without risk of engine failure while on the road. •The noises and mechanical issues raise concerns about potential loss of power, stalling, or catastrophic engine damage at highway speeds. •No independent mechanic will touch the vehicle because of the complexity and risk of the defect, leaving me stranded. General Motors has refused to take responsibility, and the BBB AUTO LINE denied my case due to mileage, but the defect itself is unrelated to mileage or normal wear. This is a manufacturer defect that creates a safety hazard for me, my family, and other drivers on the road. What I’m Requesting: I am asking NHTSA to investigate this issue with GMC Sierra models, as these engine defects make the vehicle unsafe to operate and could lead to accidents if the engine fails while driving.
