2025 GMC SIERRA 1500- PAWNEE, IL
Truck was in "Park" idling for 20 minutes when it went from Park to "Reverse" on its own. A person sitting in a dump truck saw the backup lights on my truck come on and the truck started backing towards his truck. My truck hit his truck causing damage to my left rear bumper.

I was driving home from a long trip and heard a large pop. Several warning signs and messages began popping up and the vehicle was shaking and struggling to maintain speed. I was able to get home and get my family out of the vehicle and get it to a dealer down the road. They stated the Fuel injector and harness had failed.

2022 GMC YUKON XL- Clemmons , NC
While driving on I-77 South near exit 3 Charlotte, NC -with no warning signals or indication the vehicle lost power and shut down as I was driving at a speed of 70 miles an hour on the highway, Fortunately I was able to struggle and pull off to the emergency lane of the highway. I tried several times to start vehicle with no success. The vehicle was towed to the dealership immediately. My major concern is that this year model "2022 "GMC has not been RECALLED. A very popular model that families rely on for travel on a daily basis. At 37,000 miles with NO warning this happened on a very busy highway that could have resulted in a major accident. I bought this vehicle for extended travel that involves mostly highway. This presents in my eyes a very serious safety hazard that has not been addressed by GMC for this model vehicle. I look forward to your prompt investigation on this very disturbing matter.

2014 GMC SIERRA 1500- Dows, IA
Within the first week of buying my 2014 GMC 1500 SIERRA, the transmission fluid was black in griddy. I have had it flushed, then filter changed and new fluid put in within 2 week time frame. A week later had to put a new transmission in it. It barely would drive. So a purchase at 2,999 then to a transmission 4,800 and new control arm with ball joint with new axels. They were busted. Another 2,000. Its sicking. Advice

2023 GMC YUKON XL- De Pere, WI
While on vacation, 2023 gmc started making a very loud fan noise. Brought to two dealerships and displayed code for coolant flow control valve. We were told we can drive it home but to bring it to our dealership. Trying to drive home was a major safety concern. While on the highway our vehicle would suddenly lose speed and the engine would get quite loud. Causing us to pull over and wait…. With 5 kids. It’s been 6 weeks and no word when this will be fixed. All our summer plans are just being shot due to needing a large vehicle and our dealership said we cannot drive it.

2024 GMC YUKON XL- Fort Worth, TX
I am filing this complaint regarding GM Recall N252494000 (NHTSA Campaign Number 25V274) for my 2024 GMC Yukon XL (VIN: [XXX] ). The issue involves a serious engine defect related to the crankshaft and/or connecting rods, which can result in catastrophic engine failure and loss of propulsion while driving—a clear and dangerous safety risk. I first became concerned when early reports of this issue began circulating publicly. As a father of young children, I became increasingly uneasy that my vehicle could potentially fail while in operation. Receiving GM’s formal recall letter only validated my growing concern for my family’s well-being. It’s deeply frustrating and unsettling. The notice states that parts to repair or replace the engine are not currently available, and offers no clear timeframe for when a remedy will be provided. I feel like we are being strung along while forced to continue using a vehicle that may become unsafe at any moment. This delay is unacceptable. There has been no offer of a loaner vehicle, no proactive communication from the dealer, and no assurance from GM that they are prioritizing driver safety over logistics. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether GM is doing enough to provide timely remedies to affected customers. I also urge you to consider whether interim solutions (such as alternative transportation or more aggressive recall execution) should be mandated. Thank you for your attention to this matter. 2020 GMC TERRAIN- Bulger, PA
On 6/22/2025, brakes stopped working while trying to make a turn. Next multiple engines light came and car went into reduced speed mode. As I tried to find a safe place to stop, the vehicle went into limp mode and shut down in the middle of the road. The dealership said the issue was the vacuum pump which caused the timing chains to break. There have multiple recalls for this exact issue but my car is not on the list. My manufacture warranty ended on 5/21/2025. When I spoke to a GM representative I was told there was nothing they can do because there is not a recall for my vehicle. They explained even though I had the same problem the recall is for other vehicles. GM also issued a warranty extention on the vacuum pump to 10 years 150,000 miles. However my vehicle is not on the list for the extention. this issue is a safety hazard regardless of the vehicle type. I was lucky that no one was behind me or they would have hit me.
