The Yukon was driving normally and just lost power while driving 55mph on the highway. Then I got off the highway to pull over and check it out and the Yukon started shaking while running and in Park. The truck would not drive over 30mph without shaking and what sounds like misfiring.

  • 2020 GMC SIERRA 1500
    - El Paso, TX

I have taken my vehicle to 3 seperate mechanics (GMC, AAMCO and Independent). They all agree that my valve body inside the transmission must be replaced. The problem is that valve bodies are on a national back order and cannot be fullfilled for months, putting my transmission at risk for further failure. Reading online forums, there are many GMC owners facing this same issue. The mechanics at GMC are requesting that I change out my entire transmission, since that will be a quicker solution than waiting months for that valve body. Now, I am being told that they are having difficulty locating an original manufactured transmission. This puts me in a serious bind because my truck is my only vehicle and there are no valve bodies or transmissions to fix this issue. My truck is only a 2020 and I just surpassed 100k miles. There were no dashboard warning lights that indicated my trucks problem. Only the fact that my truck is shuddering when shifting gears and that a diagnostic tool had to find the source of the problem. This problem started about 5 months ago and has progressivly gotten worse.

  • 2022 GMC YUKON
    - Camden, SC

While driving 75 on the highway the vehicle shut off completely, shifted to neutral and a message flashed on the dashboard to "press start again". This has happened previously when my 16 y/o was driving but we chalked it up to user error. Scheduled appointment with dealership. There were no warning lamps, no lights illuminated on the dashboard. The vehicle just cut off and I have not been able to reproduce the issue.

  • 2022 GMC YUKON
    - Spotsylvania, VA

The engine on my vehicle has been consuming approximately a quart of oil every thousand miles for months. I have made this issue known to the dealership who services my vehicle over that time period. The dealership (Radley Chevrolet in Fredericksburg, Virginia) and particularly the management has not been concerned about my issue. I have also contacted GMC. I've explained to Radley Chevrolet and GMC that as a [XXX] while in the military [XXX] that my vehicle will leave me and my family stranded somewhere without recourse. Both are aware of the ongoing issues and have not addressed my many documented concerns. I have an extended warranty, so I'm covered for parts and labor for years. Again, the concern is for my safety and the safety of my family. This vehicle could possibly leave me as [XXX] and my family on the side of the road. I have reported these concerns numerous times. - Mango, FL

The engine is not shifting properly, and the vehicle loses speed while driving and hesitates to accelerate. At time, it feels as though the car is not moving at all. This issue has occurred on multiple occasions, affecting both me and my family, and has forced us to pull over because the vehicle could barely move forward. This happed once on the highway and almost caused an accident. Additionally, the check engine light remains on at all times.
