2020 GMC YUKON- Campbellsville, KY
Hello, I’m calling about the GM transmission recall recently announced in March 2025 affecting 2020 Yukon vehicles. My Yukon experienced what I believe is the exact same issue described in the recall. Our vehicle lost forward gears and almost caused a crash. A certified mechanic confirmed the transmission fluid was burnt and full of clutch material, with internal transmission damage. We are asking for this to be handled under the recall, as the issue directly matches GM’s known safety defect. We need this resolved immediately — the vehicle is unsafe to drive and the failure happened before we even knew about the recall. Our GMC Mechanic stated the following : Needs immediate attention Recommended service Transmission: test drove verified no forward gears after 3 minutes of driving. fluid brown and burnt full of clutch material. internal damage to transmission. A transmission flush is a process that makes it possible to clear the old transmission fluid from the vehicle's transmission. This process also helps to remove residue of older transmission fluid from the converters, coolers, and cooler lines that often are part of the design for the transmission.

2023 GMC YUKON XL- Shawnee Mission, KS
My daughter and I were coming and got off of the [XXX] on the [XXX] exit ramp to go home. When we were pulling up the vehicle suddenly showed the check engine light and the vehicle turned off. It would not go into neutral, it would not restart. I am being told there is no active recall on it; however, in researching, it appears that I am one of many cases of this exact scenario. Being stuck on a busy exit ramp is not safe and had this have happened in the road construction on [XXX] , this could have been a much different scenario even fatal. This vehicle is a 2023 with 40,355 miles on it. The Denali is currently at the dealership it was towed to, and I am waiting on the diagnostic. 2024 GMC CANYON- Normandy Park, WA
The dealer did not fix the recall item on my truck as posted here. The dealers service department confirmed with me on multiple occasions that the recall was not fixed as annotated, but since the dealer was paid for the recall (because it was posted to the system) I am still on a waiting list for them to coordinate how to do the recall work (that was already paid for, what?). I would just like the recall work to be completed on my truck and the notification corrected on your database that the work was not done when input, editing to correct the date of service
