2023 GMC YUKON XL- Bettendorf, IA
I have had this vehicle serviced twice for the electrical issue on the running boards. While driving and while parked the running boards constantly deploy and store on their own or get stuck at a half way position. This will happen even if I have them turned off or on.

The contact stated that he was able to start the vehicle by pressing the Push to Start button. The contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently. Additionally, the contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the engine made an abnormally loud banging sound, and then the engine made an abnormal clunking sound that persisted while the vehicle was idling. 2024 GMC YUKON XL- Eagle, ID
While accelerating up to 55MPH, the vehicle automatically shifted into neutral without warning. We tried to shift it back into Drive, nothing happened. We pulled off the road to try and shift in a reduced speed and still nothing. We finally came to a stop and tried to shift it into Drive, still nothing. There was an error message: “conditions not correct for shift”. We place vehicle into Park, turned off the engine and tried to restart. The engine wouldn’t turn over. A police officer stopped and tried to jump the battery, nothing. The dashboard and lights turn on, but there was ZERO turn over with the ignition. We continued to try it to no avail. We had a tow company come and unplug the battery to try a system reset, and still nothing. Car was towed with no ability to get it into neutral.

2021 GMC YUKON- Jacksonville, FL
My family and I found ourselves stranded on the interstate when our engine failed while we were driving on I-10 at 75 mph. The connecting rod bearing got lodged in the engine, causing it to seize. This put us in an extremely dangerous situation. I believe these vehicles should be recalled. I've been in discussions with GM to buy back the vehicle, but their leadership has declined my request. They are offering to replace the engine, but I do not want this vehicle back.

I was slowing down to turn and I couldn't push my brake pedal down it completely locked up. If I wasn't already slowing down I would've hit a power pole and potentially lost my life. My ABS light never came on and it's still not on. After I got parked and shut my car off the check engine light came on.

I am on my third 6.2L engine at 80k miles due to engine failure. It is absolutely ridiculous and is a safety issue for sure. It has left me stranded twice. And now GM is giving me a hard time about not wanting to cover it under warranty.

2024 GMC YUKON XL- Ocala, FL
On [XXX], while traveling from Florida to Kentucky to visit family for the holidays, our Yukon XL began to make a noise that mimicked that of a car going over Rumble strips on the highway. This happened at approximately the Tennessee Kentucky state lines. We stopped the car and contacted OnStar who then ran a remote diagnostic and stated that they could not tell if anything was wrong with our vehicle and recommend seeking out a GMC repair center once we arrived at our destination. The technician at the GMC dealership after evaluating our vehicle told us that there was metal in the oil filter and that the engine would need to be replaced. Our Car was not safe to drive or return to our home over 800 miles away. No warning lights came on in the vehicle to warn us that the car was at risk or failing. We are still without out our car as another engine has not been secured by GM. Our Car is still in Kentucky at the dealership who found the problem and is inoperable. Our car is 9 months old and had only approximately 13,000 miles on it and all service has been completed at a GMC dealership. 2023 GMC YUKON XL- Saint Cloud, FL
On [XXX] while on vacation out of state with my family our 2023 GMC Yukon XL Denali stalled out on [XXX]. After safely navigating through 5 o'clock traffic just outside of Atlanta, the vehicle would not turn over or even attempt to start back up. We contacted onstar for assistance and was advised to stay with the vehicle while they dispatched a tow truck. After approximately 2 hours we contacted onstar again and was advised a tow truck wouldn't be available until morning. We then were able to obtain a ride with Lyft that totaled over $100 with 5 people and was given a $50 credit. I was forced to use Hilton Honors points to book a hotel. Then after the next morning around 10am I was advised the tow truck was enroute to the car. I then took an Uber to Enterprise where I was able to get a rental vehicle. And made my way to the dealership that our Yukon was towed to. After speaking with the service advisor I was told they wouldn't even have a diagnosis for a couple weeks. So we proceeded to head home (with the rental breaking down and several other issues we had to overcome). After we were able to get another rental vehicle, we made it home around 2am. We returned this rental vehicle as it was not suitable for our family, and contacted GM in hopes to get a rental vehicle while our $120k vehicle is sitting in the parking lot of a dealership 8 hours from our home. Only to be told they'd allow $44/day for a rental and we would need to rent it initially and they would reimburse us after we submitted our receipts. Unfortunately $44/day does not get us anything that can accommodate our family and finances are not allowing for this at this time. So we are managing with 1 car. On 1/9, we received a call from the dealership stating our engine was locked up, non repairable and they were waiting for guidance from GM. Then on 1/23 I was then advised by my GM rep that she was transferring the case to someone else and they would advise when the new engine has shipped.
