2020 GMC SIERRA 1500- Spokane , WA
On January 8th I was driving when my 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali started to misfire as well as several warning lights blinking. I happen to be a couple miles from the dealership I purchased it at so I drove it straight there. A few days later I was notified it was the lifters that went bad and it would cost $5400 plus tax. This is disturbing since I have only had my truck for a little over 4 years with 68,000 miles on it. After researching the problem it appears that its a common issue and I notices a class action lawsuit for this reason. Since it's not recalled currently I'm stuck covering the invoice. Before the problem happened my truck was driving normal and no warning lights came on. This needs to be investigated so the consumer isn't stuck paying for something that is an obvious GM issue .

2022 GMC YUKON XL- Sparks, NV
On Christmas Eve my family and I were driving out of town on the freeway when my 2022 Yukon's engine started making very loud grinding, rattling noises and instantly started slowing down and losing power, there were no warning signs on the dash and the GMC app showed my vehicle was still in a healthy condition. We had no warning at all. The vehicle was towed to Corwin GMC and we were told we will need a total engine replacement. We have been waiting almost a month now with no update as to when it will be fixed.

2022 GMC SIERRA 1500- knoxville, TN
bought vehicle in may 2022. had engine suddenly ‘lock up’ while driving on the highway to work in november 2022. towed and repaired at gym dealer through december 2022 for ‘spun bearing’. had ‘fuel sensor’ replaced in 10/23 when it failed the day before our planned fall break, towing our camper… then mid-december 2023 had camshaft part replacement when it ‘locked up’ again. got it back for 9 days when it once again ‘locked up’ (not driving this time…) and had engine completely replaced. on the first two occasions i was traveling at highway speed when all of a sudden- i lost power to the engine. thankfully i was on the shoulder side not towing anything either time!
