2015 GMC ACADIA- Jonesboro, AR
I was curious about recalls because I totaled my 15 Acadia SLT2 and when I hit the impact didn’t deploy airbags and I had no idea until after my accident that they were recalled!!! This incident totaled my Acadia caused my face to be slammed into my steering wheel, cutting me in 2 places and shattering my eye glasses. I now have a scar that looks like a 2nd chin from my impact to hitting the steering column! What should I do? I wasn’t or hadn’t received anything from GMC about this recall until recently and damage has already been done and I’m at a loss of tremendous amounts because my air bags could have saved $300+ glasses and doctors appointments etc…

2021 GMC YUKON- Old Town, FL
While driving at 60 mpg on a major highway vehicle began decelerating itself and eventually stalled. Driver was able to pull to the side of the road in a turning lane. Private mechanic found code that fuel pump control module failed. After the failure vehicle could not be put into neutral and had to be towed back to residence by a tow truck. Check engine warning light did not appear until vehicle stalled.

2014 GMC ACADIA- BREAUX BRIDGE, LA
I have called GM multiple times and the local dealership. GM Motors has airbags and are currenlty fixing vehicles and has not included my vehicle in any current priority group. The local dealer tried to get my vehicle included in this current round and was denied despite my vehicle being in Louisiana where it is very hot and humid. Both of these are risk factors causing the explosion of the inflator. I am disabled and my family needs my vehicle to take me to appointments because we bring my walker and O2 tank and now I have a $54,000 vehicle that they are all too afraid to drive. My daughter is short and has to sit right at the steering wheel. There are newer vehicles than mine on the priority list. This is ridiculous and dangerous. See priority list below.

2019 GMC ACADIA- Windermere, FL
Last week I parked in a large public parking lot and attempted to turn my car off. I received a notification in my dash to “shift to park” even though my car was already in park. I was unable to turn the car off or lock the doors. I ended up having to leave. I have now gotten this message six times in the past week. It can take up to twenty minutes to get the car to turn off so I can exit. Yesterday upon returning to the car I showed an error message as soon as I started it that the parking brake needed service, stabilitrak is disabled and steering assist is disabled- drive with care. As I tried to exit the parking lot, I found it almost impossible to turn the steering week. I pulled over and restarted the car, releasing the steering wheel so I could get home. This morning, all of the service lights were on and periodic warnings flashed on my dash throughout my drive to work. I contacted the dealership and was told that there is a recall for this exact issue on the 2015-2018 models of my car. I have a 2019. This is certainly a dangerous issue that should be proactively fixed and is clearly still present in years that are not being included in the recall. I was told my car was one month past its warranty and told I could pay 250$ for the issue to be assessed and then they could quote me on a fix. The dealership acknowledged that this is an issue they regularly fix.

2018 GMC ACADIA- Larose, LA
When I try to cut my car off, it says "Shift to Park", but the car is in Park. Sometimes you can push the gear shift up hard and it will make the light go off, but othertimes nothing works and the car stays running and you can't get out. This is an ISSUE on lots of models and some even have recalls. Why are thy not recalled? I have to leave my car unlocked and running until it decides to turn off. Now I am stuck having to pay for this out of pocket, when GMC knows this is an issue.

2019 GMC SIERRA 2500- Loxahatchee, FL
The Fuel pump power control module failed. The part is currently at the nearby Chevy dealership. The safety of myself and two passengers were compromised when the struck suddenly lost acceleration, then shortly after lost engine idle. This occurred while vehicle was in motion on a main highway leaving us stranded on the highway and no warning or indication was given. The problem was confirmed by a dealer. The vehicle and component were inspected by the dealership. There were no warning lamps, messages or symptoms prior to the part failure.

2024 GMC SIERRA 1500- Clinton, NY
The backup camera is useless at night. When backing up at night the camera is so dark you cannot see more than a foot or two behind you. If someone or something is behind you you will never see them before it’s too late. The camera is supposed to be a safety feature! I talked to the dealer service department about this and they said it’s a design flaw with GMC and nothing they could do. I Also looked online and see several people complaining about the same thing. This truck has as of today 268 miles on it. I called GMC help center and just got the runaround telling me I would have to go back to the dealer for them to fix the problem even after telling them several times that the dealer said nothing they could do it’s a design flaw with GMC. I believe GMC should be made to do a recall and fix this safety problem.

2024 GMC CANYON- La Quinta, CA
This truck was purchased brand new on [XXX]. Noticed lights are intermittently flickering (every 2-4 minutes) when driving at night on [XXX]. We took vehicle in to dealership (Jessup Automotive) on 8/23/24 where is was purchased and work order stated, "Engineering is aware of this concern and is working towards a resolution. It is no longer recommended to replace the headlamp assemblies as it has been found that the issue is present in the replacements currently stocked at CCA. This PI will be updated when this direction changes." Other vehicles think you are blinking your lights at them. We took a video. Also, there are other vehicles of people having same issue on [XXX] . The vehicle has been inspected by dealership. We are taking to another GMC to get second opinion. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms before the failure. Owners on the website mentioned that changing the headlight assembly worked. They stated change module or headlights did not work. This problem has been going on at least since since May 2024. We have paid $40,000 for a truck that we are worried about driving at night. Waiting for call back from GMC now who we called on August 23, 2024 in which they stated they would call back within two business day. I have video, however it won't attach.
