I have 98,000 on my Yukon XL Denali and I have a crack in the piston block as I was told by the dealer. I have an Endurance Car Warranty on the vehicle and the vehicle has been at the dealers since [XXX]. The warranty company is giving the dealer the run around where they have torn down the motor already twice to prove to them that there is a crack. Plus, there was no warning signs other than it not running smoothly as it has been and that is why it went to the shop. Nothing should be happening to this motor at 98,000. The vehicle is presently at Palm Chevrolet in Ocala, Florida and Scott Kelly is the service manager. Can you please give me some advice. Vehicle when being placed into park utilizing the gear shifter begins to say “vehicle not in park” when the vehicle is in park. This happens almost every time the vehicle is placed into park. In order to clear that notification, you have to put the vehicle in drive and park multiple times and hope that the computer recognizes the vehicle in park to unlock the doors and shut the vehicle off.

The headlights keep flickering. Oncoming traffic thinks I am flashing them for some reason. It’s very unsafe to drive this vehicle at night due to this issue. I would like the issue fixed asap.

While driving, the power steering stops working. I was traveling at approx 55 mph with my daughter in the car and the power steering quit. Alert lights came on the dash. I managed to slow down and turn off the highway. I turned the truck off and when I turned it back on it was fine. Drove for another 10 minutes to get home and it went out again at a stop light. I found a place to pull over and turned it off and back on and it stopped doing it again. There is a recall for this issue on this vehicle but evidently mine was not on the recall or was fixed prior to me owning it. I have not checked with the dealership, but I’m assuming it will be a large bill to get it taken care of. Hopefully it does not go out at a bad time.
