I have been having the same problem many people have been having with the same vehicle type. I will be driving and this has happened 4 times now and once on the freeway! Were I am driving, and all of the sudden the power steering cuts out, and I get all the warning lights come on. I had to pull over, or find a spot to pull over and turn the vehicle off and turn back on. Now I see there was a recall for this issue on the 2015 canyons but not for the 2016, and this needs to be recalled there are going to be people dying if you do nothing, and GMC will have a class action suite and this regulatory agency shall have serious legal redress against you should you do nothing, even though you know there is a serious issue and that multiple complaints have been filed and GMC is well aware of this! I do smell legal redress coming for you and GMC...

Purchased the tires on 10-25-2021 and with only 16,000 miles on the 4 new tires; we have non-normal cracking on the side of the Thread. These tires are only 3 years old. P275/55r20 We are contacting the tire manufacturer and also the tire service center for help under the 60,000 mile warranty. Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3. The tires should not be cracking for any reason and should not be cracking due to dry rot or stress on the tire. Used on a 2018 GMC 1500 Serria.

Constant smell of coolant while stopped at traffic lights or idling even worse when the air vents are on, dealership insists it's because the reservoir cap is vented but coolant reservoir is literally a foot away from drivers window even still shouldn't be smelling coolant it's been like this since a month after purchase. Having issues now with auto braking system activating for no reason did this multiple times almost got rear ended on NY State thruway because it activated with no cars near me once it activates it causes the truck to go into a limp mode (won't go over 30 mph) and starts vibrating like it needs a tune up. The radio and digital display often dissappear for no reason can tell speed. I almost got a ticket from state trooper for unsafe stopping i explained everything and was told i could get a safety violation for defective equipment and to take it garage and drive it till its fuxed , the windows have rolled down a couple of times while it's parked and won't go back up. Headlights often flicker when driving auto low beam/high beam rarely works. Every time it goes to dealership they say they can't duplicate the problem. It's really scary when you're doing 70mph and the auto brake engages. I'm literally afraid to drive it. I have a 14 year old truck with 230,000 miles I don't smell coolant or have these kinds of issues Seems to be a lot of electrical problems going on service advisor said he saw notices for bcm, front facing camera total of 6 issues. Nothing seems to resolve issues but dealerships aren't doing anything just saying can't duplicate problem also paint is chipping every where The issues started around 5300 miles and continuing

While driving, my vehicle makes a loud funny sound, jerks/skips, and shuts off. It also loses motor oil quickly, yet it has no leaks and I have to constantly add more motor oil or get oil changes frequently. My safety has been put at risk because the engine can fail at any moment due to no motor oil, causing the vehicle to catch fire and also when the vehicle suddenly stops and shuts off in the middle of the road, it can cause an accident. There has been no inspection from the manufacturer.

I bought my car [XXX] it had 7 miles. I loved my car. Then in January 2021 things just went crazy. It started with park light on. My forward brake assist warning didn’t work, my back up camera in and out . My braking and stability were on and off. Then weird codes like. Engine at half power, unable to shift soon and speed control out. Then if I hit a bump message went away and speed control back on. I’ve taken care into another GMC dealer because dealer I bought my car at , closed up and took off!! Took it to closet dealer. Not long after repairs same issues started! So many different problems all at once! I have been treated horribly during these issues by dealership and extended warranty company. Dealer had my car for 3 weeks ! They couldn’t figure out the problem. I sat there for 4 hrs sent me home told to come back for 9 mile test! Why in 4 hrs that wasn’t done. So again the unable to shift message back on! I get in my car it starts but won’t shift ! Dealer charged me 250 to tow to shop! When they said I’d be fine ! I had more issues again and again! I’ve been driving over 40 yrs no accidents. I bumped into someone during a huge traffic jam in Ohio! Braking didn’t work no warning even . I should speak to a lawyer and could explain more to a person on filing these complaints. Twice had to have wiring repaired because animals ate the wiring. Both were caused by GM using soy based insulation on wiring that made it a delicacy to the animals and caused them to eat through two wiring harnesses, one of which GM no longer makes. The other complaint is the timing belt has stretched and is now in need of replacement at a cost of $4500 to $5000.

The transmission was failing to shift and jerking me forward in the vehicle. The check engine light came on. I was on the highway going at high speeds. Also, my vehicles Internet connection dropped. I pulled off the highway and turned off my vehicle. While starting my vehicle again and attempting to go into reverse, it would not reverse and it would not drive forward . It would just rev the RPMs. My vehicle has been sitting at the dealer for two weeks. They have not looked at it yet. The police were not called as there was not an accident, thankfully. The warning light came on as the vehicle was failing.

driving approximately 50 mph when vehicle suddenly made loud bang and locked up rear brakes for 25' coming to a stop in road side ditch, numerous vehicles had to make evasive actions to avoid me and other vehicles. flat spotted tire abut no visible physical damage. sat on side of road for transmission temp to cool down then drove to shop without repeat. called dealer was told the earliest appt was a month away. have not been able to repeat incident so far. this has happened a few times and is becoming more frequent, mfg has tsb issued but indicates they cant assist because my warranty has expired so i will have to pay 225 per hour diagnostic fee. this is untenable and dangerous. this needs a recall and repair ASAP.

    - Kalispell, MT

I was stopped at a red light in the left hand turning lane and when the light turned green I proceeded to accelerate and the engine would rev but the car would not move forward so I continued to push on the gas when the car jolted forward Violently. I am lucky no one was in front of me because this would have cause a car accident. Turns out the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced which is a common issue for GM however they never owned up to it and refused to pay to for the cost of the replacement and I paid several thousands out of pocket. This is a major safety concern and could be potentially life threatening. GM should recognize this as a recall and take ownership of a failed transmission with less than 100,000 miles.
