I am reporting a premature failure of the daytime running light (DRL) system on my Range Rover Velar. Both DRLs have failed within approximately one year of each other, indicating a likely systemic defect rather than normal wear. The DRLs are integrated LED components within the headlamp assembly and are not serviceable independently. When the DRL fails, the entire headlight assembly must typically be replaced. I have been informed that a single replacement headlight assembly can cost approximately $3,000 (parts only, excluding labor). This results in an extremely high repair cost for a lighting component that should last the life of the vehicle. When one DRL fails and the other remains operational, the vehicle presents uneven forward lighting, where one side is illuminated and the other is not. This creates an inconsistent lighting signature and may not meet federal lighting performance and visibility expectations. This asymmetry can impair other drivers’ ability to accurately perceive the vehicle’s position and width, especially in low-visibility daytime conditions such as rain or fog. The failures occurred without any physical damage or external cause, suggesting an internal defect in the LED modules or associated electronics. Reports from other owners indicate this may be a broader issue affecting this model. I want to add the the first incident was September 2024 on the right side. I had it repaired. Now the left side is gone. I have received a ticket my officers for the light being out due to the lighting disparity.

This is a report of a Failed Remedy for Safety Recall N321 (Recall #19V293). Records confirm that this vehicle had the recall repair performed on 12/09/2020. That repair has now failed. A certified technician at the dealership has confirmed via video that the windshield bond has detached, leading to significant water intrusion. This flooding has ruined safety-related electronic modules (cameras/audio) and caused significant mold growth in the interior, which is a biohazard health hazard. The manufacturer is admitting the failure but is refusing to provide a 100% covered remedy for this failed safety recall, offering only a 40% 'goodwill' contribution. The vehicle is currently dismantled and unsafe to drive. A failed windshield bond compromises the structural integrity of the vehicle in a rollover and prevents the proper deployment of the passenger airbag. Furthermore, the active electrical failures in the safety-related camera systems and the respiratory risk from mold growth make the vehicle unsafe for occupancy Technician Diagnosis Summary Technician Name: Skyler (Jaguar/Land Rover Certified) Date of Diagnosis: March 23, 2026.Dealership: Land Rover Parsippany, NJ Key Findings from Skyler's Video: Direct Admission of Failure: "So what we have going on is the windshield is leaking. The windshield is leaking so we’re going to have to get the windshield resealed for you." Extent of Water Damage: "Inspect the carpets and they are very wet all the way around on the vehicle... the vehicle does have like a mildewy smell." Safety/Electrical Failure: "Initially when I pulled the vehicle in, the surround sound cameras were not working... it's possible that one of the modules had water in I opened a case with Land Rover Corporate (Case #[XXX]), which they have since closed after refusing to provide a 100% covered remedy for this safety failure. They offered only a partial 40% 'goodwill' contribution and refused further assistance despite the confirmed safety hazard. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORM

Roof molding detached from driver's side of 2023 Land Rover Discovery Sport, upon arriving at home checked the passenger side and it came off without excerpting any force. Subsequent check on search engines indicate this may be a common occurrence in recent model Land Rover SUVs. I ran a VIN check for recalls on NHTSA and did not find one open for the 2023 Land Rover Discovery Sport, though the same issue is listed as a recall for Range Rover & Range Rover Sport for 2023-2026 and NHTSA has a safety bulletin posted (from Land Rover) for 2019 and newer Land Rover Discovery Sport named "LTB00865NAS2 - Roof Molding Loose / Adrift" available at: [XXX] There are three Land Rover Discovery Sport of similar years in our neighborhood and one other is missing the same passenger side roof mold - these blowing off in traffic at speed are a highway safety concern. The car would not respond, yet the battery was charged. Our local auto shop identified the issue as an electrical malfunction in which the entire driver's side was affected, meaning the lights nor car would turn on or activate in any way.

The Jaguar range Rover dealership refused to fix the safety recall on my 2012 Range Rover. My car had been at the dealership JLR Midlothian VA since March 20,2026. They stated that there was no loaner car until April 13, 2026, possibly. Brian was the senior advisor sharing the information. I rented a car from Hertz rental in Fredericksburg VA for the initial date appt of March 13, 2026. I had a family emergency and informed Brian. On April 20, 2026 I visited the dealership to learn the status of fixing the recall issue of of fuel flange to be told by Jeff that Mike the Service Manager refused to correct and replace the safety recall part. BArian who initially did intake on March 13th was not on active duty recall and the case was sent to another advisor Josh, Josh was not in the day of April 20,2026. Josh telephoned me the next day stating the same that my car was not repaired not would it be according to service Manager Mike. They have had my car for 30 days and never told me ethat information before. I have been charged over $800 in rental fees that I had asked the manufacturer/and or dealership since they could not give me a car while my car is in their possession. The DC/DC converter went out. While driving [XXX], all the warning lights came on, no abs, no front collision warning and all other safety warnings lights flashed. Immediately after the lights came on vehicle completely shut down while driving leaving me stranded in the street in Greenwood, AR. I had my vehicle towed to the dealership. Land Rover was already aware of the DC/DC converter issue but told me it was the battery which I paid to have replaced. I drove my vehicle home from the dealership. After arriving home my vehicle would not lock. I contacted the dealership and was advised to bring it back in when they had an appt in 3 weeks. I could not drive my vehicle due to not being able to lock it. While driving the vehicle to the dealership to get repaired because it would not lock, my vehicle shut down this time leaving me stuck in a blind spot on a rural highway (55mph speed limit) with no where to pull over due to deep drainage ditches on the shoulder. For two hours I had to wave at vehicles letting them know there was a dangerous hazard in the road (my vehicle) while waiting for the tow truck. My vehicle was again towed to the dealership, 126 miles away. It was at this time I was advised by the service advisor later confirmed by the General Manager, Land Rover had an ongoing problem with the DC/DC converters. My vehicle has been at the dealership since February 9, 2025 because they do not have the DC/DC converter available. The dealership does not provide loaner vehicles. I have since researched the internet and found numerous articles and other complaints regarding the DC/DC converters going out in Land Rover vehicles. Started car, placed transmission in 'reverse' and backed up into a public thoroughfare zone thinking enough time was alloted to place vehicle in 'drive' and merge into traffic. Car would not go into 'drive' nor would it go back into 'reverse' let alone 'neutral. So after realizing the car was reporting a transmission fault and placing itself back into 'park' each time, due to a transmission sensor detection issue. I was stranded in traffic. After calling for towing service, we learned that only a few could drag the car up onto a transport bed using wheel skids, since all four tires were locked up. This model does not have a manual neutral override feature. Poor design, placing my wife, who is handicapped, into a perilous situation.
