2019 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY- Mount Pleasant, SC
The Land Rover Discovery was in "reverse". Not aware that the vehicle was in reverse, the car door was opened and the driver started to step out of the car. At a high rate of speed (approximately 5-7 MPH), the vehicle automatically accelerated in reverse, the open car door hit the garage track and ripped the driver side door off. the vehicle continued in reverse and slammed into an neighbor's structure. With the car door opened, like many other cars, the car should not have moved. with the driver not sitting in the seat, the car should not have moved. the high rate of acceleration was an additional issue, whether that waas software related or not is unknown. The driver side door was hanging by the electronics and the vehicle is still being accessed but the "A" frame is suspected to be bent.

2018 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT- Yucca Valley, CA
Ever since I bought the car back in April 2022, it has been in the dealer for intermittent check engine lights due to problems with the engine and transmission. The car would go on a limp mode especially when driving on a highway at steady speed. It would rattle, slow down or will not accelerate even when pressing the gas. This happened to me multiple times and it’s a major safety concern. After multiple attempts at repairing and installing a new engine and transmission, the issue has not been fixed. This is the only car I have and I am not able to drive it reliably and at full capacity due to fear of malfunction again. The incident report date is only the latest date of the repair. The repairs have started back in 2023.

2023 LAND ROVER DEFENDER- Lewes, DE
1.) Coolant turbo lines leak coolant. Causing the engine to overheat. It is recommended by the dealer to replace the two(2) o-rings and bypass hose assembly. 2.) This is a high risk this can cause risk of an engine fire in addition to major damage to the engine. 3.)The Land Rover Dealer (Annapolis, MD) has confirmed that this is a known issue. Further research online confirms from other customers with dealers that this is a known issue. 4.) The dealer performed diagnosis on the vehicle and confirmed the parts that need replacing. 5.) As the engine gets close to overheating, you notice the temperature gauge moving to red and a warning message that the engine is overheating. Initially, you will notice messages that the engine coolant level is low and as the problem progresses, you will see the message more frequently. I have personally gone through two full bottles of antifreeze in a day. The cost of repair is over $2500.

2012 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT- HIGHLAND CITY, FL
The shop I took my vehicle too says the vehicle is leaking gas. They looked up the vin for recalls showed me the recall said I'd have to take it to a dealership. So I scheduled an appointment for Lakeland Jaguar and Land rover and they told me they couldn't help me and don't wanna do the work if JLR isn't gonna reimburse them for recall. I can smell gas and it definitely isn't safe to drive. The dealership has written a service sheet but never touched the vehicle. Said they cant see the recall. Systems down. Wondering what do I do?
