2016 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER- Parker, CO
Dear NHTSA Safety Division, Please find attached my formal letter regarding an urgent safety concern related to Safety Recall D041 (Front Suspension Knuckle Crack) – NHTSA Recall No. 25V-514, affecting my 2016 Land Rover Range Rover. It has been nearly a year since the initial recall notification, and the defect has now rendered my vehicle unsafe to drive. Despite repeated attempts to seek assistance, I have been advised there is still no remedy available, nor has Jaguar Land Rover provided a temporary vehicle or interim repair. Given the severity of this issue and the growing safety risk to my family, I am urgently requesting NHTSA’s intervention and guidance. - Attached: Urgent_Safety_Concern_Letter_Demetrius_Strong.pdf Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. Please confirm receipt of this correspondence at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Email: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2015 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER- Jacksonville , NC
Incident Description: On April 4, 2025, after placing the vehicle in "Park," it suddenly and rapidly began reversing without driver input. The open door struck me, knocking me to the ground and the vehicle rolled over my legs, groin and arm before stopping after colliding with a dirt pile. This resulted in severe injuries and hospitalization. The vehicle’s gear selector is the rotary dial type. Post incident diagnostic reports showed communication faults between the shifter assembly and transmission control. Jaguar Land Rover North America (JLRNA) currently has the vehicle under extended diagnostic evaluation but has not provided a confirmed root cause. The malfunction may relate to electronic gear-shift or transmission control failures. I am reporting this incident for federal safety review, as this defect presents a potential risk of uncommanded vehicle movement and serious bodily harm. Additional Information: The vehicle remains in JLRNA custody. Original diagnostic codes were recorded by their engineer. I have experienced significant injury and loss of use. I request NHTSA’s review and tracking of this defect for other potential affected vehicles.

2017 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT- Huntington Beach, CA
Front Suspension Knuckle Crack was knocking and ready to break on my 2017 Range Rover. I had to bring it into an independent service center due to the inability of the dealer (JLR Newport Beach, CA) to get me in (I was told 200 cars were in front of me and it would be an undetermined period of time before they could get to me). The suspension and steering were affected and I had to have it repaired immediately by Custom European in Huntington Beach, Ca. He used original parts and it cost me $1,500.00 (799.57 parts, 660.00 labor, tax 60.42). The vehicle has not been inspected yet. When I received the SAFETY RECALL letter from JLR in Newport, I tried to get in for inspection but to no avail. Same situation, 100's of cars in front of me. When I called Range Rover of North America, I was told your computer system has been down for over two months and that I should call back every week to see if it's working (by Jared). Jared told me because I had the safety recall corrected already, this was the only way to get reimbursed but NOTHING could be done while the computer system was down. The SAFETY RECALL letter specifically says reimbursement is available but Jared said nothing is available without the computer system, which as I mentioned earlier has been down for two months. Telling me to call back weekly to see if it's up again is not the resolution I was seeking. JLR cannot inspect because they have no place to log the information since your "computer system is down." This is a classic case of "we can't do anything without our computer" but you can call us back (basically hoping I'll forget and go away). I spent good money on this safety recall and need to be reimbursed properly. Range Rover of North America and JLR of Newport Beach are doing NOTHING to address that situation with those of us that took care of the problem before it was too late. Please tell me how this should end. Thank you. [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2017 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER- plantation, FL
This is related to the repairs, not from an incident. Land Rover does not have a fix for the defective part, they are replacing with a new, yet old design part. Ok, but they are requiring the owners to pay for the parts and labor to replace until such a time that a newly designed part is available. According to them, at that time they will replace free of charge and refund the amount required today. Yet, they have not timetable for above. That is unacceptable.

LJR is taking too long to order the replacement, meanwhile these vehicles are on the road and dangerous.
