The contact owns a 2014 Lexus GS450. The contact stated that while driving at various highway speeds, the electric power steering assist failed to operate as needed, causing the steering wheel to become stuck. The steering wheel became difficult to turn in either direction. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who replaced the alternator, but the failure persisted. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 141,000. The VIN was not available.

The electrical system failed. It operates just about all the systems including items that are normally operated manually. My wife entered the car and pressed the start button and the car would not start. The car locked my wife inside with no manual method for opening the door. Fortunately, I was home at the time and was able to execute a manual release of the door using a key found inside the remote. Lexus sent a AAA service truck to jump start the engine. We believe this dangerous situation is related to our previous complaint #11495096 for VIN [XXX] on 11/28/2022 where the car locked us out on two reported occasions. At vehiclehistory.com I found a similar problem reported for the Lexus RX450h, another plug-in Hybrid. In that case an amp meter was used to trace the source of the electrical drain from the battery. A faulty amplifier was consuming more power than needed and draining the 12 volt battery to a completely discharged state. There is a problem with the auxiliary battery holding a charge. There were no warnings, messages or prior symptoms. The car is available for inspection on request. We are taking it to the dealer this morning. On Thursday, May 25, 2023, I took delivery of my new 2023 Lexus RX 500h at Nalley Lexus in Roswell, Georgia. On Saturday, June 3, 2023, I noticed that the interior dashboard trim has become separated. I could (can) see the plastic clips and some exposed wiring. My initial thought was to not touch it because it could possibly cause an electrical shock and to take the vehicle back to the dealership. Instead, I decided to snap the cover back in place. After driving a few miles in the same day, the cover came loose again. When I got home, I Googled my issue and learned that others were having the same problem. On the next business day, I contacted my service rep at Nalley Lexus, made her aware of the issue but she stated they weren't aware of the issue. I decided to wait until my 5k service to bring it up again. On Saturday, September 9, 2023, I took the vehicle to Hennessy Lexus of Atlanta for my 5k mile service. I made them aware of the issue, they allegedly ordered and replaced the part, but the same issue revealed itself days later. I contacted my service advisor at Hennessy Lexus of Atlanta to make them aware that the cover is still sagging/loose exposing wiring but they had no solution.

When driving on the highway for about 45 mins the steering will feel sticky or “lock up” and make changing lanes very hard. The steering wheel will be hard to move, and you have to “break free” which causes a very sharp lane change that you have to recorrect. This is not safe, others have reported the same issues on forums.

I have purchased 3 tires through Amazon. 2 tires on February 14th 2023 and 1 tire on July 25th 2023. I have since replaced 2 tires due to them being defective. The latest tire purchased February 14th 2023 now has a bubble on the tire. All tires have been professionally installed and balanced. I would like to get this resolved as soon as possible. Tires should last longer than this. I have attached invoices and pictures. Multiple attempts have been made to contact Amazon and Turbo Wholesale without any resolve. The contact owned a 2011 Lexus 350. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, her vehicle collided with another vehicle that ran a red light at 50 MPH on the front passenger side door. The impact caused the vehicle to careen off the roadway and collide with a billboard support beam where it came to stop. No air bags were deployed. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact was transported to an area hospital by emergency services and treated for ocular facial pain, diplopia gaze, and a possible brain aneurysm, resulting in post-concussion syndrome. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 170,000.

When I bought it only came with one key fob according to Lexus all the NX models come with 1 key fob due to the chip shortage we will get another fob within six months. They have an app to use your cell phone to start - stop the vehicle that does not work properly. My wife and I are [XXX] and use our cell phones very little. My brother lives where they have no cell service, what are we supposed to do if my wife is two hours away with the vehicle and her cell phone dies? This is very poor service from Lexus. If the government would make them stop importing the NX vehicles until they have the chip issue worked out it would be a big step in the right direction. What happens when someone is stranded somewhere and can't unlock or start their vehicle because they have no key fob? They do not tell you anything about the key fob until after you pay for the vehicle. How many thousands of customers are they doing this to? While driving our Lexus on 8/13/2023 on the interstate under normal driving conditions ALL of our warning lights came on one after another. We also lost air conditioning and power brakes it seemed. We immediately exited and pulled over. Opened the hood and the engine caught fire and fully engulfed the engine compartment. From the time of the first warning light to the vehicle being engulfed was probably 5 - 7 minutes. The vehicle was deemed a total loss. We filed a product liability claim with Lexus/Toyota and they investigated the vehicle on or around 8/28/2023 and were not able to determine a cause of the fire. Because they could not determine a cause our claim was denied. Our car was perfectly maintained and only had 15,000 miles on it at the time of the fire. We bought this vehicle new almost two years to the day of the fire and believe the fire was caused by a defective part. We understand it is very difficult to determine the cause of an automobile engine fire. Other comments below: We do not know where the vehicle is now as there was an insurance claim and the insurance company only held it for 30 days. Our safety and the safety of others was at risk luckily no one was injured. Problem has not been reproduced or reviewed by an independent service center. Vehicle was inspected. All electrical warning lights came on

It is two problem with Lexus Rz. First the Glass Roof is not UV protected and My husband and I are getting burn on our head and my phones over heat because of the strong sun beating on us. Second is the Electric range supposed to be 220 mile range and in reality I am getting 150-160 range. we are misrepresented by Lexus. On Oct.13 Lexus inspected the car and Please see the attached file. The guy says that this car cannot be in highway or freeway. He says that Avoid relying on the displayed possible driving distance. I paid close to $80000 including warranty and they took my car for 29900. I want my money back or they have to give a car that would not be like this.

Numerous issues relating to drivetrain of 2023 Lexus RX500h: 1. Extreme vibration/shudder under reverse - example documented forum link: [XXX] 2. Uncontrollable jerking motion whilst stopped, as if vehicle was slipping in and out of gear trying to move forward - brakes were disengaged the entire incident There are no warning lamps or messages that occur during these incidents, however these issues cannot in any way be construed as normal operation.
