2020 LEXUS NX- Floral Park, NY
I have been noticing sluggish acceleration since the end of 2024, specially when fuel falls below or equal to half tank, I took my vehicle to the dealership several times and specifically instructed them to inspect my acceleration issue but every time said no issue on fuel pump. They even failed to reproduce my problem even though I paid for diagnostic. I would like to earnestly request NHTSA to consider this issue seriously and take action at your earliest convenience. Thanks

2024 LEXUS TX- Amarillo, TX
I am filing this complaint regarding my 2024 Lexus TX. A road rock/debris entered through the vehicle’s factory front grille and struck/punctured the A/C condenser, causing the air conditioning system to stop functioning properly. The repair cost is approximately $2,500. The factory grille has large openings that leave the condenser vulnerable to direct impact from normal road debris. Lexus does not have a protective screen or guard that can be installed to prevent this type of damage. This design flaw has affected many other Lexus TX owners and I think they need to offer up more protective measures to avoid this from happening over and over again.

I am happy to have anyone come look at my vehicle for inspection. My passenger headlight daytime running light LEDs have changed color and are failing in this sealed unit. I have spoken with a service technician at a body shop, and had my insurance company inspect my headlight as they all believe it is faulty. The daytime running element is a completely off-white yellowed color, while it should only be cool white LED color. This completely varied color impacts the performance and visibility of my vehicle. This different color and fading output is impacting my vehicle's visibility while on the road, and makes me less visible to other vehicle and pedestrian traffic on any and all roadways. This very problem was reported to a service and body shop repair location, and was inspected by a Lexus dealership at the request of Lexus Brand Engagement for the dealer service to inspect and report on their findings. The dealer determined the headlight would need to be replaced to repair the failing daytime running element. There have been zero warning lamps or messages about this failing headlight component, and this began to appear after the headlight on the driver's side of the vehicle was replaced because of a completely separate accident and subsequent repair. The discoloration and faded output of the daytime running element was the issue with both of these headlights, only noticed when the driver side headlight unit was completely replaced, indicating this error on the passenger side. A service technician told me directly this could be the start of a recall. I have looked online and many other NX and other Toyota-Lexus drivers are experiencing early-onset failure of these headlight components. There was mention of these components overheating and failing. My vehicle is only four years old, and Lexus Brand Engagement has refused to follow up about this failing component. This is not normal for these components to be failing at such an early point of lifetime use.

My 2020 Lexus NX 300 caught fire overnight while parked and unattended outside my residence. I discovered the fire the next morning. The Seattle Fire Department responded (incident #SFD-26-0112715) and their report states the fire originated in the engine compartment, with the cause of ignition listed as 'failure of equipment or heat source.' There was no collision, no theft, and no visible external damage prior to the fire. I am the original and only owner of this vehicle, with approximately 48,000 miles, and 100% of scheduled maintenance was performed at an authorized Lexus dealership (Lexus of Bellevue), with no aftermarket modifications. The fire also caused heat damage to a neighboring parked vehicle. I have reported this incident to Lexus Corporate Customer Experience and am seeking further investigation into the cause.

2026 LEXUS RX- Hood River, OR
The contact owns a 2026 Lexus RX 450h+. The contact stated that while occupying the vehicle, the battery lost power, causing the power door locks to fail to disengage and leaving the contact trapped inside the vehicle. Approximately 15 minutes later, the contact located the manual emergency release, unlocked the door, and exited the vehicle. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact of the manual emergency door release. The following day, the vehicle failed to start. 2023 LEXUS IS- Brooklyn , NY
I am reporting recurring infotainment, display, audio, and related electrical malfunctions with my vehicle that have continued despite multiple visits and repair attempts by an authorized Lexus dealership. The problems began when the vehicle was relatively new and have continued intermittently. While driving, the vehicle's audio system can suddenly cut out completely at different volume levels and without warning. When this occurs, normal audio functions are lost and the system generally does not return to normal operation unless the vehicle/system is restarted. The infotainment/display screen also intermittently shuts off, goes black, and/or repeatedly reboots while the vehicle is being operated. These failures can occur unexpectedly while driving. The display is also used to provide visual information and warnings associated with vehicle safety and driver-assistance systems, including Parking Collision Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Warning. When the screen unexpectedly shuts off, goes black, or reboots, these visual warnings can be interrupted or unavailable on the display during the malfunction. This creates a safety concern because visual information intended to alert the driver to surrounding vehicles or obstacles may not be available when expected. I am reporting the loss/interruption of the visual warnings displayed on the screen; I cannot independently determine whether the underlying sensors themselves continue operating during a screen failure. The sudden loss of the display and repeated rebooting while driving can also create a significant distraction. This is especially concerning at night, when the unexpected change from an illuminated display to a black screen and subsequent reboot can draw the driver's attention away from the road. The vehicle has been brought to an authorized Lexus dealership multiple times for audio and infotainment-related complaints. Multiple speakers have required replacement after becoming inoperative, blown, or distorted.

2023 LEXUS RX- Oxbow, ND
Battery drains which locks car unexpectedly. No warning, even with car FOB inside car which creates a safety issue if child or someone is in the car. All doors lock and with no access to FOB cannot open the door with manual key. Also, safety issue if this happens at night or in a parking lot etc. Cannot open doors at all - There is obviously an issue with the battery draining after only a few days. Dealer solution - plug in a battery maintainer - problem if you are parking the car at an airport for multiple days. No place to plug the car in... Lexus needs to figure out what is draining the battery or some fix to stop this from happening - I drive my car several times a week 30 miles at least - still happens. Have had to replace battery twice so far.

2026 LEXUS TX- Irving, TX
On Saturday, August 22, 2026, while traveling on the highway with my two toddler-aged children in the vehicle, the temperature gauge entered the red zone and the vehicle automatically reduced power due to overheating. This forced me to navigate a power-reduced vehicle on a highway with minor children — a serious safety hazard. This incident occurred just five days after my vehicle was in the Sewell Lexus service department on August 17, 2026 for its 10,000-mile service and a warranty repair to the rear evaporator case (a known design defect). The proximity of this safety incident to that service visit raises significant concerns about whether the August 17 service contributed to or caused the overheating event.

2025 LEXUS TX- Erie, CO
When starting from a stop, putting foot on the gas pedal the car won’t move. Hesitates for a longtime. It has happened numerous times since purchased new. The manufacturer stated that engineering is looking into it, with no definitive answers. No warning lights. It just won’t go, at times which is a safety concerning especially when crossing with oncoming traffic. Unresponsive.
