A gasket failed which allowed coolant to leak into the engine. Due to lack of coolant, two of the cylinder heads cracked and warping of the engine block occurred. No coolant in the engine could result in a engine seizure or fire which poses an extreme risk to one's safety. The check engine light came almost immediately before the cylinders started to misfire. 11/25/2023. The vehicle and components have been inspected by the dealers service department and the warranty inspector. The car needs a full engine replacement which only half is covered under the warranty. The contact owns a 2014 Lincoln MKZ. The contact stated that while driving at 50 MPH, the steering wheel moves up and down. No warning lights were illuminated at the time of the failure. The vehicle was then taken to an independent where the contact was provided with information regarding NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V167000 (Steering). The owner also contacted an unknown Ford dealer. The dealer stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V167000 (Steering). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer has not been notified. The failure mileage was 123,000.

My car was t-boned and pushed into oncoming traffic. I was knocked unconscious by air bag deployment and it caused brain injury, damage to my breast.

Six months ago I had to replace the catalytic converter on my car - per the dealership. I have just been told that the 2nd one needs replacing. My car is under 8 years old and less than 90,000 miles. The replacement cost of the 1st one was 2399.30. The 2nd one is 2464.62. Replacement is required by state and federal governments and essential for protecting the environment - and yet who can afford to have them fixed? All information online indicates they should last at least 10 years, if not indefinitely. I have been driving for 50 years and never had to replace one, and now two.

After stopping vehicle at red light, drive thru, stop sign, when I try to accelerate a check engine light comes on and message power train malfunction/reduced power. The vehicle then has to be put in park, restart, and put back in drive. This happened when pulling out into road at a stop sign, and a busy red light. I feel this is a safety issue. I have taken the vehicle to Lincoln and they state unable to duplicate problem. This has happened four times since I purchased the vehicle new in August 2023. The most recent time was December 6.

When driving the vehicle, the brakes got stiff and mushy and hard to stop the car. There was not indicator on the dash there was an issue with the brakes. Had it checked by a mechanic and he stated it needed to go to the dealership since it was the brake booster which needed attention. I looked for recalls on this model and they had one in 2015 time frame, but I did not purchase it used until 8/17 after the recall. I set an appointment with the Stumpf Ford where they confirmed it was the brake booster. I also found numerous (43) complaints about the same issue with the 2013 Lincoln MKX. I fortunately did not have an accident when this happened, but feel there are issues around the brake booster and it is a hazard for my self and other drivers if there had been an accident. The dealership had stated there was a recall which ended in 2015 for that model, but that there is one on going from 2018 until 2025 for the MKZ. As stated this is a safety issue for the driver of the car and other drivers.

Steering system made a whining, humming noise while driving, and steering control was not completely possible as the vehicle wandered both left and right. Subsequent investigation by dealer showed the steering rack was compromised, and replacement effected.

The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln Town Car. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, she became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the steering shaft. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V704000 (Steering), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 136,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that coolant was leaking into the engine. Additionally, the brakes were firm while being depressed. The contact stated that the battery was replaced. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V378000 (Engine). The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.
