2022 LINCOLN CORSAIR- Elgin, IL
Several problems have occurred, not sure if they are related or not. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. In my opinion as a retired mechanic the problem components might include transmission, torque converter, accelerator or any electrical components associated with these systems. There were no warning lamps or messages related to the situation before or since. The following are my descriptions of the two issues: 1) In every day around town driving, mostly at lower speeds or after coasting, the transmission jerks, stutters and chugs. The sensation feels exactly like driving with a manual trans and trying to start from a stop in third gear. Related or not, it also seems to have a rough and jerky downshift as the vehicle slows down to stop. It happens EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE CAR, not just occasionally. 2) On a few other occasions, I stepped on the accelerator and got no response. One time I was at highway speed, let off to coast in traffic and got no response when I went to accelerate again. It felt like the transmission slipped into neutral or the ECM got no signal from the accelerator. I let off the accelerator and stepped on it again and it did accelerate the second time. In another situation, I was on a four-lane road attempting to turn left across two lanes of oncoming traffic. I was in a left turn lane on a green light, stopped and waiting for traffic to clear before starting to make my turn. As I let off the brake and started rolling to make my turn, an oncoming car changed lanes causing me to let off the gas momentarily. I was now into an oncoming traffic lane and when I went to accelerate the car did nothing. In fear of a head on collision I started to panic and stepped on the gas again with no response and then on a second attempt it did accelerate and I safely made my turn with horns blowing at me from the other car. That situation scared me half to death. Wickstrom Lincoln and Napleton Lincoln in Illinois have been unable to resolve.

2021 LINCOLN NAUTILUS- 30152, GA
The driver's side door is cracked at the door hinge assembly. This is a widely documented defect. My door cracked at 50,000 miles. There are thousands of 2019-2024 Nautilus's with this defect. Lincoln wants $5,000 to replace the door. They offered $2,000 toward the repair. This should be a recall.

2019 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR- Bullard , TX
COMPONENT FAILURE: The driver-side front seat belt retractor & pyrotechnic pretensioner assembly spontaneously & violently deployed while the vehicle was in motion. Immediately following the explosion, the vehicle's dashboard SRS/Airbag warning light illuminated & remains locked on. The component is currently intact & remains inside the vehicle; it is fully available for physical inspection upon request. SAFETY RISK: The component fired with a gunshot-like sound inside the enclosed cabin, forcefully locking & pinning the [XXX] driver against the seat. This sudden explosion & physical restraint severely startled the young driver, nearly causing a loss of vehicle control. Had this occurred seconds later as we exited the subdivision & turned onto CR 346 heading toward Whitehouse—which is a narrow, fast-moving two-lane county road with no shoulder—a severe head-on collision with oncoming traffic or a road-departure rollover would have been unavoidable. The incident caused ongoing shoulder/chest soreness to the [XXX] driver & extreme distress to an autistic passenger in the vehicle. Furthermore, the driver's safety belt is now completely flaccid & inoperable, leaving the driver with zero crash protection. DEALER CONFIRMATION: Not yet confirmed by tech. Dealer did not provide/offer an emergency drop-off or inspection stating a 4-day delay (Wednesday) would be likely- leaving 1-car family stranded. 3rd-PARTY INSPECTION: None. Vehicle remains parked at residence awaiting safe transport. WARNINGS/SYMPTOMS: Zero symptoms, alerts, or warnings prior to failure. SRS light triggered immediately at moment of deployment due to system fault. ADDITIONAL DATA: This incident is a direct failure under NHTSA Campaign Number 26V344 (Lincoln Service Action Code 26S34) regarding the spontaneous, unprovoked deployment of front seat belt retractor pretensioners. 2021 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR- Norridge, IL
I am reporting a serious intermittent transmission and loss-of-propulsion problem with my 2021 Lincoln Navigator, VIN 5LMJJ3LT6MEL05416. While driving, including at highway speeds, the transmission will unpredictably behave as though it has shifted into Neutral even though the vehicle remains in Drive. When I press the accelerator, the engine responds, but the vehicle temporarily has little or no propulsion. The transmission may then suddenly re-engage and slam or bang forcefully back into gear. This can also happen under very light throttle. I may gently press the accelerator expecting normal acceleration, but instead the vehicle acts as though it is in Neutral before suddenly engaging again. The condition is intermittent and cannot be reliably reproduced on demand, which makes it especially dangerous and unpredictable. I am concerned about losing propulsion while merging, passing, entering traffic, or attempting to accelerate away from another vehicle at highway speeds. The vehicle has previously had transmission adaptive learning/reset procedures performed, but the problem continues. I am aware that Ford/Lincoln has issued technical service information addressing momentary neutral-out, delayed engagement, harsh engagement, and other 10R80 transmission concerns on this generation of Navigator. I am also aware of Ford recall 26S48 / NHTSA recall 26V402 involving certain 2018–2021 Lincoln Navigators. I am not claiming that the recall is definitively the cause of my specific condition, but I believe this intermittent loss of propulsion presents a serious safety concern that should be investigated. I am requesting that NHTSA document and investigate this loss-of-propulsion / neutral-out condition because the vehicle can unexpectedly fail to accelerate and then violently re-engage the transmission while in motion.

2023 LINCOLN NAUTILUS- Goshen , NY
Rear passenger side seat belt buckle sits so low in the seat that it is almost impossible for some passengers (elderly or children) to buckle it. Lincoln and Ford and everyone else do not make a seat belt extender that fits it.

2024 LINCOLN NAUTILUS- Wakefield , RI
I own a 2024 Lincoln Nautilis on August 28 2026. I started the vehicle in the rear windshield glass suddenly shattered/exploded there had been no collision accident vandalism or known impact to the vehicle that I am aware of the vehicle was not involved in an accident immediately before the glass failed. The glass failure occurred unexpectedly. When I started the vehicle. I contacted my local Lincoln dealership and reported what happened. The dealership told me that they had heard of this issue and directed me to contact Lincoln‘s 800 number customer service I contacted that number, but I have not been able to obtain a satisfactory response or determination as to whether this could be a #Warranty or safety defect I have filed an insurance claim because the vehicle needs to be repaired, but I am concerned that the insurance claim is being treated as the reason Lincoln will not investigate whether the glass failure itself may have been a defect. I am reporting this to NHTSA because I am concerned that the rear window on relatively new 2024 vehicle could spontaneously shatter without an apparent impact. I would like an NHTSA to document this incident as and determine whether there were similar complaints involving a 2024 Lincoln nautilus and whether this may represent a safety related defect I can provide photographs, repair information, insurance information dealership information, and any other documentation requested

Hard shifting while maintaining 30-50 MPH. If there is a slight incline it slams into 9th gear. It also shifts hard when decelerating.

2025 LINCOLN NAUTILUS HYBRID- Macclenny, FL
During a short drive between [XXX] and [XXX] roughly 27 miles, the red battery light on the dash display illuminated just as we were turning into the Holiday/Circle K gas station in [XXX]. No other warnings or messages appeared on the dash, and upon restart after returning to the vehicle, the red battery light did not reappear. However from that point on my return drive to [XXX], the Hybrid Electric Drive would not engage unless I was fully coasting with zero accelerator input and even when letting off the accelerator the vehicle would slow down far more noticeable than it did prior to the battery light on, it acted as though I had applied the brakes compared to a normal coasting. I kept track of the number of miles on electric only and the percentage of miles on electric dropped from a normal 15-18% per tank to 5.7% over the next full tank. I did notice that the system began working normally again in [XXX] on the return trip and the percentage on electric only has returned to the normal 15-18% per tank since. A service appointment was made and on XXX the dealership brought the vehicle in and during tests the technician provided a video of their testing, and three readings of the Hybrid Battery CCV (coolant control valve) were very high with one at 254% and two at 255% and clear red bars stating off scale. The technicians verbal comments in the provided video which is too large to upload here initially stated that these were nothing to be concerned about but then later stated that the red battery light came on because the hybrid battery was beginning to overheat, clearly related to the hybrid coolant control valve malfunctioning. He also stated that the system did not set any fault codes, clearly this could be a major issue if the hybrid battery CCV is not functioning properly or sending the correct readings and the lithium ion high voltage battery could overheat and potentially catch on fire. Serious defect in software or design. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.
