2022 MAZDA CX-30- Metairie, LA
On April 15th, 2025, my 2022 Mazda CX-30 experienced a sudden malfunction while I was driving. Despite having the automatic emergency braking system and forward collision warning, the car failed to slow down or alert me before I hit another vehicle during a pile-up. Right after the collision, my dashboard lit up with multiple error messages about the forward collision system, brake system, and sensor malfunctions. I had the car towed to the dealership, where a full diagnostic scan was performed. It revealed multiple hard fault codes, including U0415 (Invalid Data Received from ABS Control Module), which I later found was listed in a recent Mazda recall (23V-487) affecting my exact safety system—but Mazda told me my VIN was not included. The vehicle was inspected by a certified Mazda dealership. Mazda has refused to take full responsibility despite the safety system failing and the car still being under warranty. My safety was put at direct risk because the brake system did not function when it should have, causing a wreck that could have been avoided.

The stock manufacturer brakes on this vehicle have been known for issues. There is a open recall on some models but according to records my vehicle does not fall under the listed VIN numbers associated with the recall. Although my vehicle experiences the same concerns the recall list stats. The brakes seem to intermittently have trouble slowing the car down while ascending slopes and coming to a immediate stop. Often you are forced to use excessive force on the pedal and it still does not come to a complete stop. With the amount of forced iv had to use in the past the brakes should lock up and and create a slide but iv never experienced it. If im am not careful and maintain all attention to what its front of me i fear i will create a accident some day. To often in stop and go traffic or abrupt braking situations i have not been able to assure the vehical will stop . This causes concerns due to always having to travel at slower speeds and politically car repair bills. The life expectancy on the brakes are wearing out quickly. I am not a aggressive driver so i should have no problems with premature brake wear. Iv had the brakes inspected by the same dealership multiple times but they always say there's nothing wrong. The brakes have felt the same since purchasing date. Now we are two years into own the vehicle. The dealership is no help and the manufacture is not as well.

2018 MAZDA CX-5- Los Angeles, CA
I've had issues with my infotainment system screen for years and have mentioned this to the dealership. But their response was that I wasn't in warranty anymore and that I'd had to just reboot the radio system on my own. Because it was out of warranty for them to check the issue, the issue was never put on my file when I went to get serviced. Now my screen has been acting up even more, nonstop, with this "ghost touch" issue that many other CX-5 car owners have also been dealing with. I've had many unsafe incidents already while driving and can cause major accidents from shift in focus on the road and back to my screen because the music suddenly turned on full blast due to a glitch that Mazda didn't care or want to resolve for their customers (even after their recall for the same type of screen for previous models with the CX3). Yes, I've researched this intently and Mazda continues to deny these claims, not wanting to recall the same screens that they continue to manufacture, dispute this glitch and defect, being negligent and not caring for their valued customers. There have already been class action lawsuits with the CX-5 but Mazda still turns the other direction in terms of placing a recall on the infotainment screens. My vehicle has also been serviced and diagnosed with "ghost touch." The issue is Mazda not wanting to fully reimburse for this problem, turning a blind eye on this for years. Mazda finally confessed that I still have an after warranty assistance program after talking to customer service for a long time. The Campaign number is CSP13.

2012 MAZDA MAZDA3- Kirkland, WA
The Seat Lifter on the driver's side seat frame broke, the metal has a clear stress fracture right near the bracket where the frame connects to the rail. This is the same part that was recalled in the 2010 and 2011 Models by Mazda in 2017. NHTSA Campaign No. 17V-082 It causes the driver side seat to change positions while driving creating hazardous conditions and does not appear structurally stable if involved in an accident potentially putting the driver's life at risk.

2019 MAZDA CX-5- Salt Lake City, UT
Just got diagnosed with cracked cylinder head. After looking on social media, it appears this is a thing for the model years 2018 and 2019. Bad casting? Anyway I believe this should be a voluntary recall to correct such a flawed engine. I bought this new from a Mazda dealership and kept it up to date with service only through the dealer. The 60 month/60,000 mile drive train warranty ran out last July. However I only have 50,000 miles on the car...babied.

2017 MAZDA CX-5- Antioch, TN
My vehicle has had the "Ghost Touch" issue that has been reported on many Mazda vehicles and even had a recall for the 2014-2016 models since I got the car in 2018. Mazda has refused to do a recall or cover repairs even though it's still being reported as an issue on multiple different models of Mazda. This happens on a constant basis and just keeps getting worse. Here is the original recall notice from NHTSA: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10164268-0001.pdf
