The passenger crash pad has deteriorated and become sticky and cracked. This may affect deployment of airbag and perhaps allow outside environmental elements to affect the airbag. The takata fiasco being an example of environmental factors affecting airbag safety.

The front and rear crossmembers have significant rust. The front has holes and chunks of metal missing due to rust corrosion. The rear has flaking and is deeply pockmarked with rust. These are structural components. Failure can lead to a crash.

2024 MAZDA CX-5- Coon Rapids, MN
Straight to the point, I backed the vehicle up, pushed the brake peddle in and shifted into park. The engine begun to increase in RPMs and I could hear the engine load increase, maybe about 2,000 to 5,000 rpms higher than idle or first start building vacuum idle, as if I was pushing on the accelerator. I literally looked down at the peddles, as I was just doing a quick spot change in my driveway, the accelerator did not appear to be stuck or in contact with the aftermarket winter weather plastic floor mat. I decompressed the brake peddle again and shifted the car from P to D and the engine went to its normal baseline idling RPMs and sound. I put it back in P and turned it off, no issue. I have noticed this problem before, but I only noticed it during this past winter season and blamed it on my winter boots and/or myself instead of the vehicle. I am going to guess this has happened in total about 4 times, including the most recent incident that I just wrote about. The CX-5 is connected to Mazda's network/ data service or whatever it is called, because I like my cars clock to maintain correct time, which it won't or can't do if I prefer my privacy from Mazda. So Mazda should be able to see what happened on their end. It happened in the late afternoon to early evening. I do also use 'auto hold' daily and cruise control w/out radar active.

Infotainment system "touch" screen doesn't work and I experience "ghost" touching where it's as if someone is actually pressing the screen to toggle between the different functions, raise/lower the volume, etc., when my hands are no where near the screen. It's a very dangerous distraction when it happens while driving.

2013 MAZDA MAZDA3- San Diego, CA
The Brake Pedal consistently malfunctions, even after the replacement of the master cylinder (by independent service center). The master cylinder does not hold pressure due to a faulty ABS control unit (which, when Mazda was contacted, said that part was on backorder until September). If the manufacturer knows this is an issue and can't supply the part due to so many replacements needed in their vehicle, why is there no recall? There is no warning to the driver on the dashboard of this issue and has causes repeated issues while breaking.

I've had it repaired for over 30+ times. I'm tired of the car not being fixed. The last visit I was told maybe its the way I drive.

2018 MAZDA CX-9- Mechanicsburg, PA
Our Mazda CX-9, having roughly 86,000 miles, had catastrophic engine failure while driving. This is caused by coolant leaking at the cylinder head and around the exhaust manifold. This in turn caused a crack in the engine block. Mazda refused to fix this as it wasn’t a “recall” and only a tsb sent out. 1000 of people have reported this issue, causing failure while driving but Mazda will not recall the engines nor fix them under an extended warranty. After a 4 month battle with Mazda they refused to fix this in our car even though they know the engine is a bad manufacturing issue. A recall needs to be made and Mazda needs held accountable. Our exact cause was exactly what the TSB stated but Mazda stated our crack was not in the correct spot. They need a recall covering all engine block cracks due to faulty manufacturing
