2024 MAZDA CX-30- Collegeville, PA
Wife was driving 2024 Mazda CX-30 with (bought demo from dealer in February with 2500 miles on it and now 4006 miles) daughter ([XXX]) in passenger seat. Airbag deployed with no warning or malfunction lights or alerts prior. Knocked my daughter across the vehicle, startled and traumatized both of them. They were able to safely pull into a shopping center parking lot. Got vehicle towed to the dealer, John Kennedy Mazda in Pottstown PA. Called police--have report and pictures to document. Wife also has videos and pictures. The dealer provided us a loaner vehicle. Next day the service manager, Gary Daniels calls. I ask if he has ever seen this before. "I think I know what caused it. There was a bubble in the right front passenger tire." I responded that I saw how this was going and told him I will be in touch. Dealer not covering it under warranty and said "call our 800 # and your insurance." Called 800 line and talked to Giselle, our case manager who said this would be "escalated" and we would hear back in 48 hours. Of course, we did not hear back. Finally, after 2 voicemails and contacting Mazda USA via chat, they call back and say call insurance, it will not be covered under warranty. When I ask for what the escalation was, the rep said "well the dealer said there was a bubble in the tire." Complete runaround. I go to the dealer to return the loaner car and they provide me a watered down and inaccurate report saying the bubble was existing. Insurance has provided an estimate to repair the car for just under $5000. I am not comfortable having the dealer repair the car or any family member drive that car once repaired. Airbag malfunction warning lights everywhere post deployment. No warnings before and ridiculous claim that a bubble in a tire could cause an airbag to deploy. Considering the repair but also legal action as zero empathy by the dealer and no accountability of fixing what seems to be a similar issue in New Hampshire with the same model car 2 years ago. 2024 MAZDA CX-90- South Glastonbury, CT
On multiple occasions the vehicle has falsely detected collisions and suddenly braked while on highway leading to serious safety issues. On other occasions, while changing the lanes with blinkers on, the vehicle suddenly steered back into the original lane and triggered a collision warning even though there was no vehicle/obstacle nearby. This created a serious risk of collision. Even at slow speeds, the vehicle inaccurately triggers a collision warning creating unsafe driving conditions. This frequently happens when we are driving the vehicle in the parking garage, even in absence of moving vehicles nearby. The mild hybrid power train system had issue leading to hybrid system malfunction and iSTOP malfunction. This finally led to hybrid battery failure and the vehicle remaining out of service for over a month. Apple Carplay disconnects erratically creating hazardous condition especially when we are using Carplay for navigation. Such a disconnection requires the driver to suddenly reach over to the phone and input driving directions in the phone again. This is especially dangerous in city driving conditions needing frequent turns.

2024 MAZDA CX-5- plymouth, MI
My daughter was driving on the freeway at 75-80mph on the morning of April 19th, 2025. The rear passenger tire blew out without any prior symptoms or warnings. Surrounding cars slowed down, or got out of the way because the other drivers saw her struggles to maintain her lane and direct the car to the shoulder of the freeway. AAA was called to change the tire to the safety spare. The tire remains with us, and the NHTSA is the initial entity that I am filing a report to.

Noticed strong smell of gasoline when the car was parked. Took it to an independent service dealer who diagnosed leaking fuel from top of the tank. Gas tank was removed and replaced. Tank cost was $380.00 plus repair shop labor/supplies cost. See attached invoice. During a recent online search for this vehicles current book value I noticed there was a manufactures recall issued for this same problem, that I paid to have repaired. I never received any recall notice for a leaking gas tank problem for my vehicle.

The a.b.s pump module is defective in these vehicles. There are tons of people having issues with them. When they fail it happens suddenly resulting in brake failure, power steering failure, the car does not like to shut off, the vehicle will go into "limp mode" and every light on the dash comes on. The part itself is costing close to $1000 u.s.d . With all of tge effected things tgat go with it i believe it can be very dangerous and should be recalled

2023 MAZDA CX-5- Cusseta, AL
Summary of Events: Purchase Date: 05/27/2023 Coolant Warning: In January 2025, I received a coolant temperature warning (code P0126) indicating insufficient coolant temperature. Repairs: I brought the vehicle in for repairs on 02/15/2025 for thermostat and related parts. The repairs were completed by 02/17/2025. New Warning: On 03/18/2025, I received a high coolant temperature warning. Upon inspection, coolant was nearly empty, and I found coolant contamination in the engine bay. Notification to Dealership: I emailed Hennessy Mazda on 03/19/2025, but after no response, I filed a claim with Mazda headquarters on 03/20/2025. Only after that, they called me and instructed me to bring the vehicle in. They claimed that after replacing the faulty parts and cleaning the engine bay, the car was ready for pickup. (While they assert that all actions were completed on 03/22, Based on the fact that the car door was opened approximately five times in April, it can be inferred that the necessary actions were likely completed in early April.) Concerns: Coolant Leak: The coolant leak persisted for nearly a month, likely causing damage to internal components due to engine overheating. Electronic Contamination: The leaked coolant likely contaminated sensitive electronic systems, wiring, and connectors, potentially leading to long-term failures due to the conductive and corrosive properties of modern coolants like Mazda FL22. Long-Term Risks: Hidden corrosion inside connectors and wiring. Potential for electrical failure, sensor malfunctions, and further degradation over time. Hennessy Mazda is currently addressing only the visible issues and claiming the car is now functioning properly, while attempting to shift the long-term and hidden risks onto me. I am requesting a vehicle replacement or compensation due to the safety and long-term reliability risks posed by the unresolved coolant leak and contamination.

1. The navigation has a frosted crackle appearance framing the screen. It is difficult to read the navigation when needed. I know this has happened to other models of this vehicle and those were recalled and covered. 2. The brake senor keeps going off stating "SMART BRAKE SYSTEM MALFUNCTION". This goes off repeatedly while driving. 3. Then a second message pops up and reads "FRONT RADAR SENSOR SYSTEM MALFUNTION".

2019 MAZDA CX-5- OMAHA, NE
The engine cylinder head cracked before the vehicle hit 50,000 miles. This caused oil to leak and burn in the engine compartment, leading to a burning smell coming into the cabin. Once enough oil had been lost, I got a low oil pressure light. I immediately pulled over and noticed white smoke was coming out from under my hood, and the smell of burning oil was quite strong. The problem has been confirmed by my mazda dealer. The vehicle has not been inspected by manufacturer, police, insurance. Just the dealer. The vehicle is currently at the dealer, and the cylinder head would need to be removed for inspection if requested. The smell of burning oil was the only early symptom, though I did not recognize it at the time.
