Cracked cylinder head near the exhaust manifold. Created a large oil leak. Oil on the exhaust is a fire hazard. After one quart of oil loss a low oil level light comes on. This is a reported problem. One version of the engine I have has a Mazda TSB and an extended warranty. TSB 01-0022/23 A local repair shop has diagnosed the problem.

We are a senior citizen couple driving this 2018 Mazda. Went out to garage to find a significant size area of oil spillage on the floor. The car has just over 25,000 as we are low mileage drivers. Took to a mechanic to find out it is a cracked head and oil is steaming out of the crack.i have since learned that Mazda is well aware of the weakness in this model and has chosen not to do anything about it. Our car is out of warranty. It would be a hardship for us to repair. And if repaired, would it happen again? This has recall written all over it, as well as a class action suit. I would like our vehicle repaired at no cost to us. How long were they aware of this issue? I have found hundreds of complaints. I prefer not to pursue this legally but this is unacceptable by Mazda. This was my second Mazda purchase but will be my last if they cannot stand behind their products.

2016 MAZDA CX-5- Warminster, PA
The car engine is eating oil. There were no warning lights on the dash to indicate this. I happened to check the oil, and it was 3 quarts low. This could have caused the engine to malfunction while driving if not caught in time. This started around 70K miles. Coffmans Service in Warminster, PA has confirmed the car was spraying oil on [XXX] and performed a clean combustion chamber with iridium spark plugs, replaced intake manifold gaskets and PCV valve, and ow-20 oil and new filter. I contacted the manufacturer on 10/17/2024 case# [XXX] and it was dismissed. I did read online that this mazda has a problem with eating oil around 70K miles. The problem still is occurring at an extremely low rate. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was backing out of a parking spot while watching the backup camera when I felt a bump as if I hit something but the camera was showing I have enough space to the cars behind me. It turns out the backup camera image was frozen on the display and I had hit a car parked behind my car. Please investigate and make the manufacturer solve problems with the hardware or the software. Make sure the display shows a warning when the camera fails and the vehicle drives backwards. There may be children behind the car. Shifting into park and then into reverse again caused the camera to work correctly.

2025 MAZDA CX-90- Hockley, TX
Vehicle cabin air vents blow air that is over 101 degrees Fahrenheit with the air conditioning system turned off and the blower turned on. Cabin temperature was set to “lo” and outside ambient temperature was 55 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a safety hazard as the vehicle should not blow extremely hot air in the cabin and cook its occupants.

2018 MAZDA CX-5- San Diego, CA
This car has a confirmed cracked cylinder head and is leaking oil. This is a known issue and there is a TSB out for it. It happened at $62500 miles and is just outside of the warranty. This has happened to several of these cars. Mazda is not doing "good will" to repair them and there is not yet a recall which there should be. The car suddenly started leaking oil and smoking/burning. It is unsafe and a defective cylinder head. Mazda should be taking responsibility for this
