Electrical system drains battery, have purchased several new batteries annually. With a new battery, the car while being driven, shut off, lost power steering and abs on road. Car has been parked since and battery drain still occurring while car is parked

Oil light came on. Cracked cylinder head causing oil to leak in rear of engine onto exhaust system. This gives off burnt oil smell into vehicle passenger area. Concerned this could cause fire. Vehicle was taken back to dealer where it was found to be leaking. Dealer stated will order new cylinder head but does not know when it will be in. dealer stated drive vehicle until part comes in.

It is the infotainment system but please, hear me out. The manual states that one is able to change channels by using the controls on the steering wheel. That is not the case. It actually is another feature NOT described in the manual. So now in order to change the channel, one must take their hand off the wheel and fidget with a selector and look at a screen (and also hope they are in the right menu section). This is not how most cars with this capability act. This is something that even the manual doesn't describe. This is a hazard, albeit not spontaneous because it leads to distracted driving. I've been to the dealership twice about the issue. I've contacted Mazda corporate. There are anecdotes of others having the same complaint and how this is a hazard. My complaint to Mazda Corporate and the dealership requests to Mazda Corporate have been met with a "Oh well, it is what it is and we can't help you." sort of reply. -The component at this time can be inspected. -The feature leads to distracted driving. -Yes, two local dealerships have observed the issue and were puzzled as to why it says one thing in the manual about the feature and the system acts a different way. -No inspection by the manufacturer, but I have contacted Mazda USA corporate via chat and email. -No warning lamps or messages because apparently this is how it operates.

A coolant leak appeared around 60,000 miles. I caught it in the right time as I had no more coolant left in the reservoir. I filled it back up and drove it to the Mazda dealership - I did not overheat at all so no warning lamps appeared. Upon taking it into the Mazda dealership, the engine was pulled and it was discovered that the cylinder head was cracked. This requires a new engine. There is a TSB out on this issue. It is a known issue apparently from a casting defect in the heads / block.

The contact owns a Baby Trend Easy Ride 35 Travel System Car seat, Model Number: TS40B65B, Manufactured Date: 5/18/22. The car seat was installed in the middle rear seat of a 2018 Mazda CX-5. The contact stated that while the child was seated in the car seat, the car seat harness buckle malfunctioned and could not be unlocked. The child could not be immediately removed from the car seat. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and retailer were not yet notified of the failure.

The 2019 Mazda CX-5 has a design and manufacturing issue with its infotainment system. The screen activates functions without pressing the screen or activating the joystick. It changes the station, calls by phone and changes important security parameters such as braking assistance. Reflecting a notice on the main board. There are thousands of cases of affected vehicles. This problem is a serious situation that Mazda must correct immediately, because it distracts the driver and changes extremely important safety parameters. The infotainment system is not just for listening to music or making calls. This system manages many aspects of vehicle safety. Mazda replaced the part with a new part number for obvious reasons. All vehicles that have the affected part must be replaced with the new part number to avoid possible accidents. The defective part is K123-61-J0A. The replacement is K123-61-1J0C. Vehicle drives very "rough" at low speeds less than 30 mph. The car feels like it is jumping and can't tell at what year it should be driving in. This is very noticeable when driving around residential areas. This is a common issue with the Mazdas with the Skyactive engines. Dealership in Raleigh knew about this problem and said that there is nothing they can do except possibly provide an update to the computer software. I have written to Mazda corporation regarding this and of course, no response was received. Mazda needs to acknowledge this problem with their special transmission/engines and FIX this. I shouldn't be having these kinds of issues with a vehicle that has less than 13,000 miles

I was driving on interstate and there were not any other vehicles that were all that close to me. All of a sudden there was this huge extremely loud bang and glass shattering sound. Scared me to death. I never saw anything, I pulled over at next exit and saw my sunroof with a huge hole and shattered. I drove back by where i was driving and there was nothing i could see that could have caused that to happen. After doing a little research i'm positive the sunroof exploded. Thankfully my kids were not in there and i was able to remain calm enough to get pulled over safely

While im driving the steering is shifting to the right and seems lower on right side. My tires daily need to have air in them because of the uneven weight. While I drive and let go of the gas the car pulls back like an E brake could be stuck not sure though. No accidents at all but it seems like the vehicle is getting weaker and weaker with the uneven weight going down on the tires and steering seems like it's going to crash onto the right without being able to control it.

Driver seat rocks back and forth. There was a recall for 2010-2011 models for this exact issue but 2012 and 2013 are not included in the recall. This is an issue for later models and was even an issue for the 2014-2018 as a separate recall was issued for that generation. 2012 and 2013 need to be recalled for the seats rocking back and forth. This is a safety concern.
