2019 Mazda CX-5 developed P0192-00 fuel-pressure-related fault and significant loss of acceleration/limp mode. Mazda dealership diagnosed fuel rail/injector-seal issue and performed approximately $2,836 in repairs. The condition was not corrected. Dealer now diagnoses a high-pressure fuel-pump failure and is requesting an additional $1,459. Vehicle has experienced loss of power while driving. There is an existing Mazda fuel-pump recall affecting some 2018–2019 CX-5 vehicles, but Mazda says my VIN is outside the recall population. I am concerned about a potential fuel-system safety defect.

Fuel pump is leaking, just as all the other 2018-2020 fuel pumps but mine doesn’t qualify for the recall.

Within 100 days of purchasing the CX70 new ,we noticed that the collision avoidance system was malfunctioning . It would alert when no car was near us . It did not alert every time a car was actually in our right blind spot or moving through our right blind spot . The malfunctions were random and happened in a variation of conditions and driving situations . We began to mistrust the system and continually disregarded many of its alerts . The old boy who cried Wolf sinerio. We took the car into a Mazda dealer in [XXX] ,FINDLAY MAZDA they told us that the system is malfunctioning but the software fix is not yet available from the manufacturer Mazda. We were told to wait for contact from Mazda to get the update . About two moths later we backed into a mailbox at slow speed and received no alert . This collision caused $600 damage to the right tail light . This incident prompted me to call Mazda customer experience to get our software update expedited. They resisted and continued with the unavailable narrative .I insisted and demanded a fix as this was a safety feature that is now an unsafe condition and also it is a very expensive feature on this car that we paid for and have not had the use of for several month to that point . A service appointment was arranged at Alan Webb Mazda in [XXX] . By the time of the appointment there were two other service recalls that needed to be accomplished on the vehicle so I approved that works also but the repair of the collision avoidance system was my primary concern and also Mazda had agreed to replace the tail light if in fact the system had malfunctioned . The next day the vehicle was ready for pickup (July30, 2026). When the vehicle was picked up at the service dept. I was told that there were no problems with the collision avoidance system . As of Aug 1,2026 the system is still malfunctioning in the same way as the two previous complaints . I believe they are hiding the truth about vehicle safety features. - WOODSTOCK, IL

On a high-speed highway (Route 14), the vehicle suffered a sudden flat tire/air loss event, forcing an emergency pull-off onto a narrow shoulder with 65 mph traffic. Subsequent inspection revealed the failed tire and the rest of the set were manufactured in late 2007 (DOT code 4907). These 19-year-old tires were installed by a professional tire shop despite being far beyond their safe service life. Component/System Failed: Tires (Set of 4). Tire Size: 255/50 R20 (Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme, DOT 4907). Available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: Sudden tire failure at highway speeds created immediate loss-of-control risks and exposed occupants to high-speed semi-truck traffic on a narrow shoulder. Confirmation/Inspection: DOT date code 4907 confirmed by visual inspection. The installing tire shop was notified and acknowledged the sale/installation. Not yet inspected by manufacturer or law enforcement. Warning Signs: No warning lights, pressure drops, or symptoms occurred prior to failure. UNKNOWN if internal tread separation preceded deflation.

The sunroof spontaneously shattered while I was driving. It sounded like a small explosion. I am positive that no object struck the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2019 Mazda CX-5. The contact stated that while driving at 55 MPH and turning into a driveway, smoke emerged from the engine compartment. The vehicle was turned off and inspected. Upon opening the hood, smoke was observed near the rear firewall of the engine compartment, and oil was leaking under the engine compartment. The source of the leak could not be identified initially, and the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where a leaking cylinder head was diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer, where it was confirmed that the cylinder head was leaking oil and needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a complaint was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

I am reporting a severe electrical fire and system failure hazard resulting from unauthorized, dealership-installed aftermarket wiring modifications on a brand new 2026 Mazda CX-30. ?At the point of sale, Walker's Renton Mazda ([XXX]) spliced invasive, unauthorized aftermarket tracking/security wiring (suspected LoJack or similar) directly into the factory CAN-bus and main wiring harnesses. These modifications were done without consent, actively concealed during the pre-purchase inspection, and compromise the integrity of the vehicle's primary electrical architecture. ?Specifically, the physical installation bypassed standard safety protocols and compromised the vehicle's firewall insulation. As a military electromechanical engineering veteran, I recognize that unauthorized taps into a modern vehicle's high-speed data network and main power lines introduce immense risk of short circuits, signal logic failure, parasitic draw, and most critically, catastrophic electrical fires. ?Despite providing physical evidence of the tampered wiring, the dealership's management has denied the modifications exist and refused to remediate the safety hazard by unwinding the compromised vehicle. Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) has also refused to intervene under Case #XXX. The vehicle remains in my custody, but it is fundamentally compromised and unsafe due to the dealer's tampering with factory safety and electrical standards. I am requesting NHTSA investigate this dealership's practice of covertly installing unregulated electronics into new factory wiring harnesses, as it presents an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety. My vehicle experienced a total, premature radiator failure at 43,500 miles, after the manufacturer's factory warranty expired. The vehicle began leaking engine coolant rapidly. This creates a severe safety hazard, as a sudden loss of coolant leads to immediate engine overheating, potential engine stall, and catastrophic failure while driving at highway speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.A certified technician diagnosed the vehicle and provided video/photographic evidence confirming that the coolant leak is originating from a specific crack on the lower section of the driver's side radiator. This is a known, systemic manufacturing defect based on my research. Numerous other 2024 Mazda CX-90 owners on automotive forums have documented the exact same failure occurring in the exact same location on the lower driver-side radiator. The defect required a complete radiator replacement, forcing me to pay approximately $2,204 (with taxes and fees) out of pocket for a premature component failure that should safely last past 100,000 miles. I have digital photographic/video proof of the cracked unit from the service technician available for review.

On multiple occasions the vehicle has not acceleratedfrom a stop while pushing the accelerator pedal. Have noticed this is usually on warmer days, with AC on half to full, within 3 minutes, and within 1 mile from leaving work for the day after car has sat parked. I am worried this will get worse and cause a potentially dangerous situation when turning left against traffic and the car doesn't accelerate.
