The contact owns a 2007 Pontiac Solstice. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 14V047000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) and 17V061000 (AIR BAGS); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact verified that the key could be removed while the ignition was not in the "OFF" position. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times over the years, but the contact was informed that the parts were not available for the recall repairs. Recently, the dealer informed the contact that the parts would not be available, and the recall repairs would never be performed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

The contact owns a 2008 Pontiac G8. The contact stated that while driving approximately 80 mph the cruise disconnected had erroneously deactivated and the brake lights had remained illuminated . The contact replaced brake sensors, emergency brake sensors and ABS Module but the failure continued to occur. The local dealer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact was informed of the NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V252000(ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced that same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 94,000.

When first started sometimes power steering does not work. Temporary fix is to restart the car. It's gone out while I was driving. This is very scary and hard to turn when it goes out.

Airbag light staying on dash and the passenger seat does not register a person sitting in it. The passage seat bag alert does not making a sound

I have the warning power steering on my dash and it’s getting harder to steer and turn then it quits and does it again it’s not safe at all

My 2007 Pontiac G6 GT 3.9 l convertible has the same issue that a lot of the other g6s had with the Passenger Airbag Sensor (NHTSA 07V-146).

My sons who is a new driver and has a 2008 Pontiac torrent recently has had the passenger air bag light come on saying passenger airbag off when someone is sitting in the seat so I brought it in and was told that it could possibly be fixed but it’s not a guarantee that it will fix the problem and it will cost over $2500 for a maybe it’ll fix it and they had also indicated that if he was to get in a crash, the airbags will not go off because of this

The contact owns a 2010 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost electric power steering assist. The electronic stability control (ESC) and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that the electric power steering assist needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V153000 (Steering); however, the year and the VIN were not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 190,000.

When driving the vehicle on the highway the vehicles steering wheel started shaking lightly and then all of a sudden the steering got hard and locked up the power steering and it also put a message on the stereo display saying “power steering”. I was able to pull aside of the highway and turn the car off and then back on. That seemed to reset it but the steering wheel kept shaking on its own. I drove it to the nearest car mechanic and explained the problem. I was told it’s very common on the Pontiac G6 and that there is a recall for this issue. Now unfortunately when we look up the car by VIN it says it doesn’t have a recall but the mechanic and myself have done research and there’s a notice about the Pontiac G6 have this exact same issue about the power steering. The problem is very concerning and is also very consistent as it does not go away unless a specific part is replaced which has been inspected and confirmed to be the exact part that is listed on the recall notice. The contact owns a 2006 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle started pulling to the right. The steering wheel was forcefully returned to the center. Additionally, on other occasions while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal clicking sound coming from the vehicle before the vehicle stalled. There were two unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the steering wheel warning light was illuminated, and that the torque steering sensor and lower control arm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
