2025 PORSCHE CAYENNE- Miami, FL
My 2025 Porsche Cayenne S was involved in a low-speed crash and experienced multiple safety failures related to the Driver Assistance Control Unit, including phantom braking and camera failure. This crash, I believe, is a direct result of the safety defect identified in Recall ASB2 (NHTSA 25V896), which causes the Driver Assistance Control Unit to fail to process image and sensor data correctly. My vehicle has exhibited a dangerous pattern of electronic and sensor instability that aligns perfectly with the technical failures described in the recall: The Collision: While reversing in a parking garage on November 25, 2025, I struck a wall because the rearview camera and parking sensors failed to provide any notification or visual feed. I now understand this was caused by the "transient signal noise" cited in the recall, which prevents the system from detecting obstacles in specific lighting environments. Phantom Braking: On two separate occasions, the vehicle abruptly "slammed" on the brakes for no apparent reason, nearly causing high-speed rear-end collisions. When reported to The Collection Porsche Service on January 23, 2026, the Service Manager admitted the system is hypersensitive to shadows. This confirms the control unit is failing to correctly interpret image data—the exact root cause of the current recall. Total Electrical Failure: On December 2, 2025, the vehicle suffered a defective alternator, causing a total shutdown in a live intersection. This resulted in a seven-week repair (completed Jan 23, 2026). Unstable voltage from a failing alternator is a primary source of the "signal noise" that causes the driver assistance systems to malfunction. I initially believed the bumper contact was a personal error. However, given the documented failure of the alternator and the subsequent recall regarding camera/sensor data processing, it is clear that the vehicle’s safety systems were compromised at the time of the incident. Porsche NA has been notified.

2020 PORSCHE CAYENNE- Mercer Island, WA
Vehicle: 2020 Porsche Cayenne VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 41,918 Complaint: My 2020 Porsche Cayenne exhibits a significant and repeatable lurching and abnormal braking pattern each time the vehicle decelerates to a stop. The behavior is consistent and pronounced enough to cause me physical motion sickness on every drive. I brought the vehicle to Porsche Bellevue (Bellevue, WA) for diagnosis. The service manager personally rode in the vehicle with me, experienced the lurching behavior firsthand, and acknowledged feeling it. He then stated the vehicle could not be repaired because this is simply how the car behaves — no repair order was written and no fix was attempted. I am filing this complaint because: (1) the behavior involves abnormal braking and deceleration which I believe constitutes a safety concern, (2) the authorized dealership confirmed the issue exists but refused to document or repair it, and (3) I am concerned other owners of this vehicle may be experiencing the same issue without recourse. I am requesting NHTSA investigate whether this is a known issue across the 2020 Porsche Cayenne platform and whether it meets the threshold for a safety investigation or recall. 2019 PORSCHE MACAN- Frederick, MD
Headlight on the passenger side. Very common for this year and model Porsche. We took the car to a carwash. We entered with both headlights working. We went straight home and as we pulled into the garage we saw that the passenger side headlight wasn't working. There was no indication on the dashboard or warning that the headlight was out. I had to drive home in the dark in unsafe conditions with only 1 headlight and I wasn't aware that I had only 1 headlight. Roads were dark other cars didn't realize that it was a car with 1 headlight and not a motorcycle. We looked up information about the headlight and learned that it is very common and it is a mechanical failure of Porsche that has not been corrected. Replacement of the headlight is $5,000. which is completely unacceptable when it is a mechanical issue. The car needs a recall. Porsche should pay for the replacement. My insurance denied my claim and said it was a mechanical problem and should be handled by Porsche. There is no damage on the outside of the headlight. Somehow water got inside and blew out the headlight. We read about this problem online. Porsch knows about this problem. They are not taking responsibility for their mechanical failure. There is alot online about complaints from owners and no help from Porsche. March 29, 2026

2020 PORSCHE TAYCAN- Tampa, FL
I am reporting a safety issue with my Porsche Taycan. On two separate occasions within the past month, the vehicle has experienced a sudden and complete loss of power while I was accelerating hard on the highway. In both instances, the vehicle immediately entered “turtle mode,” severely limiting performance to the point where there was effectively no power available to maintain speed or safely maneuver with traffic. The only way to restore normal operation was to fully stop the vehicle, turn it off, and restart it. This creates a dangerous situation, especially at highway speeds, as it exposes me and other drivers to a high risk of collision due to the sudden and unexpected loss of propulsion.

2023 PORSCHE TAYCAN- Brookline, MA
On March 21, 2026 my Taycan motor wire disconnected from the battery during routine city driving The car was In the Middle lane of [XXX] waiting to turn left onto [XXX] A warning light said Car not drivable , pull over But the car was not functional. 2020 PORSCHE TAYCAN- San Carlos, CA
I was charging at a Tesla Supercharge using the OEM Porsche converter and my car experienced a catastrophic electrical fault. The charge completed but the charger was hard to pull out and then my car had battery fault errors and said it needed immediate service. I took it to the dealer and they pulled these error codes and said severage battery componets had failed including a failed high-voltage battery controller, which is mounted on top of the HV battery and the high-voltage booster (which distributes DC voltage). Porsche is not claiming responsibility and presented me a $17k bill to replace. I'm concerned the temp sensors went off and that this could have led to a fire so I wanted to flag to your office. Here are the fault codes provided from Porsche: B192BF0 - High-voltage DC charger (booster) in wrong mode P33E500 - Quick battery charging (DC), Charge stn., initialization error U15AB00 - Quick battery charging (DC), Communication error between vehicle and charging station U15AE00 - Quick battery charging (DC), Charging station communication failure U15B300 - Fast battery charge (DC) – cable testing error P33F000 - High-voltage system activation, Malfunction B1A88F0 - Actuator for right charge port door – travel error U15AC00 - Signal damping log, Malfunction B200000 - Control unit – function restriction U140900 - Internal temperature measurement, Implausible signal

2023 PORSCHE TAYCAN- Clyde Hill, WA
While charging my 2023 Porsche Taycan 4S at an Electrify America station, white smoke began emitting from the front wheel/charging port area. The vehicle also produced a burning odor inside the cabin. I immediately stopped charging and unplugged the vehicle. The smoke ceased within approximately 1–2 minutes. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Porsche dealership. Initial explanation from the dealer was steam from when radiators heats-up, which is inconsistent with the conditions and prior use history. Upon further inspection, the dealership identified battery-related issues. Ultimately, I was told that 8 out of 10 battery cells were replaced. The vehicle was out of service for approximately one month. The dealership stated that the battery cell issue was not related to the smoke event, which is concerning given the timing and severity of the incident. This vehicle had previously been subject to a battery-related recall addressed via software update only. I believe there is also ongoing litigation related to battery safety in this model. Given the smoke event, burning odor, and significant battery component replacement, I am concerned about the safety of this vehicle, particularly risk of thermal event or fire during charging. 2019 PORSCHE MACAN- Alpharetta, GA
I have an accident-free 2019 Macan S with 40k miles. Recently my passenger side headlight went out, so I took it to the auto repair shop I use (they specialize in German cars). The passenger side light assembly has been deemed faulty, and I am still driving without a headlight -- concerning for safety reasons as well as for possible ticketing. After reading online, I see many Macan/Cayenne owners share the same light assembly issue - 2019+ cars in the 35k-50k mileage range. The quote for the new assembly is $5200. This is a known issue that is not the result of normal wear and tear.

2021 PORSCHE TAYCAN- Kenmore, WA
There are currently hundreds (if not thousands) of cars, operating on roads of USA, that at any particular time stop in the middle of the road. The power is cut off and Engine Control Error is displayed on the monitor. This issue has been described many times on Reddit, under Taycan-Engine Control Error threads. The affects 2020-21 Porsche Taycans. As an owner of '21 Taycan, I have run into this issue 8 times in the past 4 months. I have been lucky so far not to cause any incidents. I've brought in my car 3 times to Porsche dealership. The first time, a fix was made, but it did not do anything. The second time I brought it in, I was told that there is a transmission issue, but since the dealership can't replicate this issue, they can't fix it. After the second attempt, I contacted Porsche headquarters, looking for resolution. The customer service requested for me to bring the car back to dealership for additional analysis. After I brought the car to dealership, I waited for over a month and then received an email from Corporate Customer Service- there is nothing wrong with my car. So, I'm still driving a car, that can and will stop at any moment. I warned Porsche corporate that if the next time my car stops for no apparent reason and this leads to an injury or worse, someone at Porsche will be charged with manslaughter. Even though Porsche Corporate knows that these cars are a problem, the company refuses to address this issue and blatantly lies to clients, hoping that no one wants to take on a big corporation. How long will it be, until there is a serious injury or worse happens due to these sudden stops? I have all the communication between myself,orsche corporate and Porsche North Seattle showing the exact dates, when these issues happened, the attempt to fix them, the text message from dealership telling me that there is a transmission issue and lastly the email from Corporate, stating that there are no issues with this car. Please take a look. Thank you.

2020 PORSCHE MACAN- Flower Mound, TX
Passenger side LED headlight low beam failed prematurely. Hi beam and parking lights worked for a few months until they failed. Same issue as reported by many Macan owners. Failure reported on only 1 side of the car appears to be a manufacturer design flaw.
