I purchased a Used Porsche Pre-Owned Certified 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo SUV on February 22, 2025, and within 4 to 6 weeks, the front brakes started to squeal very loudly when the vehicle comes to a near- stop. The dealership (Porsche River Oaks, 4007 Greenbriar Dr, Houston, TX 77098) tells me that this is normal squealing due to the type of brakes that this car has (PSCB). The squeal is louder than typical brake squealing and shouldn't appear on such a newly purchased certified car. I am reading multiple complaints on the internet about the squealing problems with the Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (PSCB) that I have on my vehicle. I am also seeing that. Porsche Cars North America, Inc has issued a Technical Service Bulletin 120/22ENU 4652 published on Sept 9, 2022, on how to fix this problem for its customers with a special brake disc and brake pad with better acoustical properties. The parts for this repair are extremely expensive. My car is supposed to be under warranty, but the service technician has offered to only clean the brake pads which the service advisor tells me should suppress the brake squeal for a short period of time, but then told me that the noise will come back due to the type of PCSB brakes this car has. I feel like I have been tricked into buy a car with defective squealing brakes and Porsche Cars of North America knew about the problem with these PSCB brakes. My worry is that Porsche Dealerships, know how to temporarily fix this squealing problem when they sell these vehicles by cleaning the brake pads.

Due to a problem with my car engine, the car would not accelerate and would move slowly despite pressing on the pedal. The car screen indicated that it was PCM problem (the gas would not come up) and it was a reduced engine problem. The car not accelerating despite pressing the pedal can pose serious safety problems. I have not taken the car to a dealer to repair yet.

The A/C in this 5 year old vehicle no longer works. There are no warning lights or anything to suggest the A/C is no longer functioning, other than turning it on to see if it works. The weather would need to be warm enough to test it. The dealer said it is due to the Evaporator core, and to replace it would cost $8,000.00. Upon search, many others have had this same malfunction. Audi uses the same part in their vehicles and in 2021, they revised their new car warranty to include the A/C evaporator for 10 years/100k miles. Porsche should also commit to this action as they are using the exact same faulty part and these vehicles cost even more than the Audi’s.

I bought this vehicle from the Mecum auction. It was represented as a vehicle with 2651 miles on the odometer after purchase. I later ran a Carfax and saw that it had upwards of 60,000 miles and had potential odometer. Roll Back. I contacted Mecum and they said they could not do anything about it. The seller who sold it to Mecum was a dealership in Michigan.

Porsche dashboard leather has shrunk and now doesn’t properly cover airbag which is a major safety hazard. Porsche said they would not cover cost to replace which they quoted $9k. There are tons of reports of this happening to other Porsche cayenne owners and need to be addressed via recall

Dashboard leather has shrunk and removed staples. Dashboard leather is laying on top of airbag and may act as a deterrent to the airbag function. Was informed that the airbag may not deploy correctly. Cost to repair is >$10k due to a common material defect.

My car has been repaired six times. Now there is also ACC cruise control, which will not brake but accelerate automatically When driving with both hands on the steering wheel, a warning will be issued. The contact owns a 2020 Porsche Taycan 4S. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V732000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

This is a known Safety Recall, Porsche Recall ARB7 / NHTSA ID 24V-732. I received the "URGENT SAFETY RECALL" Notice in November regarding possible battery cell module defects that could result in a battery fire. I contacted Porsche today and was told that there still is no remedy and that we will be contacted once there is one. I wanted to register a complaint, as suggested, if there is an unacceptable delay in fixing this. It seems to me that more than 3 months without a remedy in sight for an "URGENT SAFETY RECALL" that could result in a battery fire that could be deadly is unacceptable. Please facilitate compliance by Porsche with this "Important Safety Recall" by whatever means are at your disposal.
