When reversing the transfer case has failed causing it to lurch uncontrollably. also when driving at slow speeds in first gear it stumbles causing erratic driving. This has failed on a number of cars and the extended warranty is not long enough to cover cars that are always failing

Much like thousands of Cayenne drivers, I am constantly let down by an ongoing issue with Adaptive Cruise Control failures with an error message that reads, “Adaptive Cruise Control unavailable.” THIS MAY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IF NOT REPAIRED AS VEHICULAR COLLISION RATES INCREASE DRAMATICALLY TO NO AVAIL. Porsche dealers are notoriously recalcitrant about taking adequate responsibility for these failures. The cost of repairing Porsche’s poor craftsmanship is either prohibitive or they are disinterested in repairing these problems within an acceptable timeframe. It is long past due for the Federal government to intervene and compel Porsche to recall and repair their Adaptive Cruise Control failures. I had my cameras recalibrated three (3) times in three (3) weeks and yet the problem persists without meaningful redress. HELP!

The Adaptive Cruise Control keeps faulting randomly and triggering the seatbelt warning ??. Also when the adaptive cruise control fails the cruise control disengaes altogether. This is very dangerous when driving. I have taken this car to the dealership 4 times within 2 months for this problem and no one can fix it.

    - Evansville, IN

It was stop and go traffic. I was distracted and the car failed to auto stop and I hit the car in front of me. The alert did come on after the collision. I would assume the automatic braking failed or the collision would not have occurred. It was a low speed impact so not a major safety risk but even a minor collision can have a significant injury in susceptible subjects? The problem has not been reproduced to my knowledge. The component has not been inspected. The car has been evaluated by a body shop for damages and the damages are significant. The warning light came on in an inadequate time to prevent the collision. There were no other warning lamps

I was notified of APB6 recall and received a mailing suggesting I don't use the charger and that I should buy an aftermarket charger and would be reimbursed. It has been over 3 months and I have contacted Porsche multiple times and they have created trouble tickets that have just expired. I have yet to be reimbursed. Broken and loosened timing chain cover bolts resulting in leaking oil onto drive components, belts and tires/brakes. This recall was done for the Macan and not the Cayenne. Ours was covered under factory extended warranty. That said, this is criminal. Porsche needs to be investigated, they refuse to recall their vehicles and we all know there are some manufaturing issues that are 100% the factory's fault. If the NTSB refuses to hold their feet to the fire this type of engineering will continue.

The drivers side wiper leaves a streak at drives eye level during most rain events. My dealer has replaced the wiper 3 times but this has not fixed the issue. My Dealer has verified this is happening and verified this happens on all Porsche Cayenne vehicles of this age and model. According to FMVSS 104 and SAE J1903 the area A (drivers viewing area) must be 99% cleaned. This streak is an arc about 2" tall and the full length of the wiper travel. Changing the speed of the wiper system does not eliminate the streak. This has not caused a crash yet but I feel it may in the future.

    - Clovis, CA

I just contacted Porsche Customer Service and they told me that the replacement cables for the charger were available and my Porsche dealer could order me one. I went to Porsche Fresno and spoke to the service manager who said he had no information saying that these cables were available and if they were I would have gotten a letter from Porsche saying so. He also said that when they become available he will get an allocation of them. Please make Porsche Customer Service stop putting out misinformation! The original recall letter for this was dated January 22, 2023. Today is May 26, 2024. Porsche has had 490 days, or 70 weeks, to provide safe cables for these mobile chargers. This is not acceptable performance on the part of Porsche!

On 3/26/23 my 2022 Porsche Taycan Turbo self-ignited in our garage and created a lithium fire literally incinerating itself and completely destroying 3 other cars, the garage and approximately 35% of our home. The resulting fire filled the home with smoke, soot and required us to leave the house immediately and we have yet to return. The car was not being charged at the time of the fire; the charging unit was stored in the truck anticipating the dealership's promise to pick up the car for repair (again) the very next day. It was a four alarm fire supervised by the Bloomfield Township Fire Department and Oakland County Sheriff's Department. My wife and daughter personally witnessed the origin of the fire. The flames came from the bottom of the driver's side wrapping over the top of the Porsche and igniting the garage and the other cars. All cars were a complete loss. The Porsche Taycan was originally purchased new on 9/30/22 and was in and out of the dealership starting 2/9/23. The Service History is attached herein.
