2022 PORSCHE TAYCAN- Paramus, NJ
The Porsche Taycan's brakes have always been soft. Recently, at slow speeds, I have had to pump the brakes to stop. The last time, I had to turn off the road to prevent an accident. The tow truck driver, who brought my car to Englewood NJ Porsche stated I had no brakes. Porsche of Englewood called me after their evaluation stating the car was fine and could not find a brake problem. I told him that the internet had multiple complaints that the Taycan brakes would not work at slow speeds and that it was found to be the brake booster that was malfunctioning. I am not the only person to experience this. Please look into this problem. [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

At slow speeds, the Taycan brake pedal pushes all the way to the floor but the vehicle does not stop. This happens when approaching a stop sign, other vehicles, pedestrians, etc. The problem has been reproduced. The Porsche dealer confirms it is a problem with Taycans and acknowledges the potential for accidents. The dealer says Porsche Germany has not provided a fix. Vehicles and pedestrians in front of the vehicle are at risk of being hit. The vehicle is available for inspection.

2013 PORSCHE CAYENNE- Peyton, CO
Engine light came on and vehicle decelerated while making a turn in traffic. Based on the owners manual and code test, it comes up as a DPF issue. We could have been seriously injured had the oncoming traffic been closer to us or had someone attempted to follow me on the turn. When the car lost power, I could not accelerate to complete my turn. The problem has been duplicated by my husband who has some mechanical expertise, but the next step would be to take it to a dealer. It is available for inspection, but it is not safe to drive. The check engine light and the glow plug lamp came on at the same time. It happened once before on the interstate coming across I-80 on the interstate. In the middle of nowhere with no cell phone service, we were able to pull over, shut off and restart the engine which cleared the code for the rest of the trip. Then it didn’t do this again for nearly two months.

2022 PORSCHE 911- San Jose, CA
On September 23, 2023, in the late afternoon, the control arm of my Porsche 911 (front driver side) snapped while making a routine stop at a stop sign in a residential neighborhood, driving at approximately 25mph. There was smoke that came from the front driver side wheel as the control arm had snapped and that wheel was being dragged. No warning lamps or error messages were displayed on my vehicle dashboard prior to this malfunction. I gave direction to the dealership for a thorough review of the damage. The shop repairmen indicated that the control arm had snapped along with other components as a result, and they provided an estimated quote for the necessary repairs. However, when I inquired about the possibility of the damage being caused by an external object, the shop foreman was unable to identify any such impact. Seeking a second opinion, I decided to take my car to an independent shop for a more in-depth assessment. Surprisingly, they too were unable to find any evidence of an impact that would have led to the control arm failure. Their theory suggested a potential quality or parts issue as the root cause. Fortunately, there were no injuries as the road was not in heavy use, however at highway speeds this could've caused fatal injuries.

2022 PORSCHE TAYCAN- Dallas, TX
The heater and defrost are not working which is especially dangerous during cold weather and/or humid conditions. The vehicle is at the dealership service center where they stated there have been a number of similar issues. The dealer has indicated they will inspect and repair. There were no warning lamps/messages prior to failure. To be fair, I never tried the heater before a cold spell this last week.

2023 PORSCHE 718 CAYMAN- Thousand Oaks, CA
The dealer reported a misfire. Upon detailed investigation and a bore scope, the inside cylinder lining had disintegrated and metal shavings were in engine oil. The motor needed to be replaced. This took 30 days to receive new motor. Upon installation, the gear shifting linkage failed, necessitating removal and replacement of these parts. The issues are ongoing at this time and I still have not had the car returned to me. It is still being repaired nearing 45 days in the repair facility.
