2022 THOR MOTOR COACH WINDSPORT- Lake Havasu City , AZ
I’m concerned about the bbq propane compartment getting hairline cracks and the brass shut off valve that’s made of brass and dropping down to the road and getting road rash till it grinds through the shut off valve. I just read on a Thor Facebook forum that this happened to a 2016 Thor Windsport 34P. I have the pictures he posted. I asked AI Gemini, apparently this is a known and well documented safety issue. I can forward the link to the AI report. Will link here if this works. The pictures are mine (intact) and the other two are his 2016 motorhome. 2023 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS- Brandenburg, KY
[XXX] U.S. Army), Active-Duty Service Member (Stationed at Fort Knox, KY / Residing in Brandenburg, KY) I am reporting a severe structural manufacturing defect involving the room slide-out assembly on the driver-side flank of the vehicle body. Certified diagnostic testing and structural tolerance layouts executed by the component manufacturer, Lippert (LCI Case #[XXX]), and servicing dealership technicians (Camping World) have confirmed that the main slide-out housing and framing elements were installed, aligned, and integrated completely out of structural tolerance directly at the Thor Motor Coach assembly plant during production. This structural defect constitutes an uncorrectable manufacturing deviation. Because the slide-out mechanism is fundamentally misaligned within the main load-bearing sidewall of the motorhome, it repeatedly binds, undergoes severe component stress, and fails to close or seat flush against the secondary seals. Operating a 11,000lb+ commercial-chassis motorhome with a structurally out-of-tolerance slide-out housing introduces substantial safety hazards to public highways: Catastrophic Unintended Deployment: The mechanical stress and structural warping prevent the locking mechanisms and gear teeth from seating safely. Vibration at highway speeds risks structural latch failure, which could result in a partial or full unintended slide-out deployment while traveling at high speeds. Because the slide-out frame cannot close symmetrically, the structural integrity of the main driver-side wall is severely degraded. This creates asymmetrical aerodynamic drag and hazardous crosswind vulnerability, risking dynamic instability and potential vehicle roll-overs or lane-drift. In the event of an evasive driving maneuver, the shifting, misaligned mass of the slide-out can cause unpredictable chassis twisting and severe stability control failures, endangering my passengers and sharing motorists. 2017 THOR MOTOR COACH PALAZZO- Margate, FL
I am reporting a serious and repeated safety defect involving Hehr side windows installed on my 2018 Thor Palazzo 36.1 motorhome (VIN: [XXX] ). Multiple operable side windows on this RV have experienced adhesive bond failure between the scissor arm/operator mechanism and the vent glass pane. This has caused windows to partially detach and violently flap while driving at highway speeds. One rear bathroom window completely detached and flew off the RV during highway travel in 2022. Additional adhesive failures have continued occurring from 2023 through 2025 involving: - Kitchen window - Living room window - Dinette window - Rear bathroom window (including replacement assembly) In several incidents, I was forced to pull onto the highway shoulder to perform emergency temporary repairs using tape and adhesive to prevent windows from fully detaching from the vehicle. In December 2025, while driving near [XXX] , the rear bathroom vent window again separated from the operator arm while traveling at highway speed despite prior repair work. The window was violently flapping in the wind and appeared at risk of completely detaching from the RV. This defect creates a serious road hazard because detached glass/window components could strike nearby vehicles or motorists. I am aware of prior Hehr/Lippert recalls involving adhesive-related window failures, but I have not found a recall covering this specific failure point involving separation between the operator arm and vent glass. The defect appears widespread across multiple windows on the RV and has persisted despite repeated repair attempts. I believe this issue warrants investigation and possible expansion of existing Hehr/Lippert window recalls. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2019 THOR MOTOR COACH MIRAMAR- NEW CUMBERLAND, WV
WE PURCHASED THE MOTOR HOME FROM CAMPING WORLD IN JUNE OF 2025. IT WAS TRANSPORTED TO TEXAS AND WE FLEW TO PICK IT UP. WHEN WE WENT TO VIEW THE MOTOR HOME THERE WAS TAPE ON TWO OF THE WINDOWS, AND WHEN I QUESTIONED WHY, THEY STATED THAT THE BRACKET BROKE AND THEY WOULD FIX IT. WHEN WE PICKED IT UP TO DRIVE HOME THE WINDOWS NO LONGER HAD TAPE ON IT AND WE ASSUMED THAT THEY HAD REPLACED THE BRACKETS. WE WERE HALF WAY BACK TO WEST VIRGINIA WHEN WE REALIZED THAT ALL THEY HAD DONE WAS PUT COMMAND STRIPS ON THE WINDOWS TO HOLD THEM. ONE OF THE WINDOWS CAME OUT AND WHEN I REASEARCHED HOW TO PUT IT BACK IN, I FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL RC00023I, THAT THERE WAS ADHESIVE FAIL ON THE VENTED PORTION OF THE WINDOWS. WE FURTHER CHECKED AND FOUND THIS WAS A PROBLEM ON ALL THE VENTED WINDOWS. WE TOOK IT TO CAMPING WORLD IN AKRON, OHIO AND THEY STATED THAT OUR VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED EVEN THOUGHT THE WINDOWS HAD FAIL AS THE RECALL WARNED. THEY SAID THAT THEY CALLED THOR, BUT THEY SAID IT WAS NOT COVERED. WE CALLED THOR BUT THEY TOO SAID IT WAS NOT COVERED. I ASK HOW THAT COULD BE SINCE IT WAS A 2019 AND THAT THE FAILURE WAS EXACTLY WHAT HAD HAPPENED ON OUR COACH. THEY SAID THEY WOULD GET BACK TO US AND IT HAS BEEN A YEAR AND WE HAVE NOT HEARD A THING. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW IT COULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE RECALL SINCE THE FAILURE IS EXACTLY WHAT OUR PROBLEM IS. I WOULD APPRECIATED SOME HELP WITH THIS SITUATION SINCE IT IS VERY SCARY AND WORRISOME

2026 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS- Chambersburg, PA
2026 Ford E-350 Chassis / Thor Four Winds 25Z motor coach; which only had about 800 miles on it! While driving north on I-81, the low tire pressure warning came on. So, I switched to the tire pressure screen and the outside left tire was dramatically loosing pressure from recommended 65 psi - dropping to around 30 psi within a few mile. We pulled of onto the shoulder, with only 3-4’ clearance of traffic. My wife and I found that the angled extension valve stem came unscrewed from straight connection on the rim and was loosing lots of air. I was able to hand tighten the angled extension, then with needle-nose pliers snug up the valve stem extension. I then was able to use a portable compressor to re-inflate the tire to spec and continue out trip. However, had we not recognized the dramatic tire pressure drop, I’m sure we would have had a blowout!

2024 THOR MOTOR COACH ARIA- Albertson, NY
RV was purchased. With safety defects. Number one would be the mirrors. On the highway, the glass rattles so much. It impairs your vision severely. On both sides. The other would be the front end. Very bad. Pulls to one side. And if you apply the brakes, it veers to one side very hard. Vehicle has been inspected by New York State. And for both of these reasons, has failed. Inspection. Manufacturer refusing to repair. Looking online. Cannot believe how many people complaining about this. That their mirrors. Are completely unsafe and Thor is not addressing it. Only telling the people that that's the way the mirrors are made. This must be taken care of. This can cause serious injury or fatalities nationwide.

2026 THOR MOTOR COACH RIZE- Fountain Inn, SC
On March 13, 2026, just 8 days after purchasing a new 2026 Thor Rize motor coach built on a RAM ProMaster 1500 chassis, the driver-side rear wheel completely detached from the vehicle while traveling approximately 60 mph on Interstate 15 in California. I observed sparks in my rearview mirror and immediately pulled over due to fear of fire, especially given the presence of a propane system. This was a sudden and dangerous failure with no warning. The vehicle was towed and I was later informed that a critical component in the wheel/rotor assembly had failed. The vehicle was undrivable and required transfer to a RAM dealership with no clear repair timeline. Due to the severity of the safety issue and inability to safely continue travel, I was forced to trade in the vehicle at a significant financial loss and purchase a replacement vehicle. A complete wheel separation on a new vehicle at highway speed presents a serious safety hazard and could have resulted in severe injury or death.

2014 THOR MOTOR COACH OUTLAW- Wadsworth, NV
I have the same issue in my 2014 Outlaw that was identified with the 2017 model year that was covered under the recall, "2017 THOR OUTLAW Recall - Campaign #21V845000". I had the external compartment outer door skin separate from the motorhome while driving.

2024 THOR MOTOR COACH RIZE- Corbin, KY
Propane line from tank has multiple stress cracks from improper installation, whereas, the line was installed with the hose bent too tightly and without sufficient flexing to prevent cracks and leaks. The multiple cracks caused a severe propane leak with all related propane equipment becoming inoperable due to the severe danger.
