2022 THOR MOTOR COACH SEQUENCE- COLUMBUS, OH
Thor Sequences RV: The roof top solar that was installed by Thor Motorcoach flew off of the RV roof while I was driving on [XXX] in downtown Columbus, Ohio. I thought something fell out of a cabinet when I heard a thud. I exited [XXX] on [XXX], and a Central Ohio Transit Authority van driver told something flew off the roof of the RV. I parked and inspected the vehicle and discovered the solar panel was missing. I drove to Mark Wahlberg Air Stream where I purchased the camper van and reported the issue. The staff in maintenance showed me two solar panels that were recalled and being replaced. I was informed several days later that the solar panels on my camper van were not recalled. Seat belts on couch where passengers sit are not usable. Too short they will not come up from underneath the couch. The steering is off, vehicle is hard to manage. It’s brand new, bought July 2024. Steers to right easy, too left has resistance. Vehicle tends to fish tail easy. Told the dealer by email in July, at first they were going to have Ford look at it then said they would not.

2022 THOR MOTOR COACH WINDSPORT- San Antonio, TX
The contact owns a 2022 Thor Motor Coach Windsport RV built on a 2020 Ford F-53 chassis. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, a wooden beam used to deflect airflow from the outer venting fell from the ceiling of the RV. The heavy beam fell inches away from the contact's hands that were on the steering wheel. The contact pulled over after the failure but could not move the beam due to the weight. Despite the failure, the contact was able to drive the vehicle to the RV dealer where it remained. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The beam was reinstalled, and the RV was repaired. The contact expressed concerns that the failure might reoccur, and cause a severe crash. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.

2020 THOR MOTOR COACH PALAZZO- Albuquerque, NM
The EATON Power Distribution Modual P\N A66-05172-00 (S\N 18108065) in my motorhome was in a recall associated with the failed rear tail lights, rear turn signals, brack lights, running lights and failure of towed vehicle lights plug. The modual was repaired as a result of the recall and was working properly. The repaired Modual failed again in less than 1000 miles driven resulting in no passenger tail light, no brake lights, no running lights, and no function of the towed vehicle lights plug. The recall on my PDM P\N A66-05172-00 was not successful as the PDM is not working and is a safety concern.

2019 THOR MOTOR COACH OUTLAW- Las Vegas, NV
The trailer hitch mounting brackets failed (metal sheered) where the hitch mounts to the frame. It attaches at 2 points, and both points malfunctioned. My trailer almost separated from the RV while I was driving. There was only about 5% of the metal remaining, even though I was only towing 1100 lbs of the 8000lb capacity. After posting in a Facebook chat (Thor Outlaw Owners and Wannabees) there were probably a dozen owners that posted pictures of the same exact incidents. Some of them were towing vehicles, and the vehicles either departed the road (off a ravine) or careened into oncoming traffic. Problem has been reproduced dozens of times by other owners No, I contacted Thor and they said they would not take an action even though I said there was imminent risk of death or injury. No warnings, I only noticed it when I saw my trailer was tilted at an odd angle. Also, the safety chains that attach the trailer to the hitch would not have worked, as the entire hitch would have fallen off.

2017 THOR MOTOR COACH FREEDOM ELITE- Peoria, AZ
The vehicle is a 2018 Thor Freedom Elite 28LE. The incident occurred when the exterior LP gas connection ( for gas grill connection) dislodged and the gas line drug on the pavement. I don't know exactly how long it was loose before I discovered it - could have been four hours. The hose fitting ground almost completely off and was leaking propane when I found it. Approximately two gallons of propane had leaked out (full tank is nine). My issue of the manufacture is that the hose had no additional security other than the connection at the door assembly and when it failed the hose made contact with the ground. Fortunately for me the fittings were brass and did not cause a fire or explosion. I have a couple pictures of what was left after the incident.

2023 THOR MOTOR COACH TRANQUILITY- Phoenix, AZ
The grey water tank empty valve hangs close to the road without support. Mine fell off somewhere while driving cross country. This has happened to many owners and I believe it poses a highway safety hazard.

2022 THOR MOTOR COACH QUANTUM- Scottsdale, AZ
I own a 2022 Thor Quantum LC22 motorhome build on a 2022 Ford E350 chassis. The rear dually tires were installed with Dicor brand inner tire valve extenders. These extenders are attached to the outer wheels using a plastic clip. The plastic clip on the driver's side extender broke off, causing the extender device to hang free. As I was driving the vehicle, the device wedged between the tires and cut the sidewalls on both, causing a sudden flat tire. Both tires needed to be replaced. When at the repair shop, the mechanic found the other valve extender on the passenger side was also broken and hanging free. I believe this is a defect and should be investigated as it could cause a blowout.
