Transmission issues Not related to a quickshifter mine did not come with one. It pops out of gear at low rpms or deceleration which can lead to an accident. In cornering and braking to rapid deceleration for emergency.it just stopped shifting properly one day. I had some voltage problems on the 5v wire all symptoms are fixed except the transmission. Thinking maybe the GPS gear position sensor. Nope pedal is sloppy and needing manual pressure to stay engaged.

The Rinder manufactured amber lenses on all four indicator lights severely cracked during removal and reinstallation. The lenses must be rotated off the indicator base to change the light bulb. It is extremely difficult to remove the lens without an excessive amount of force. The rim of the lens that mates to the body of the indicator becomes so damaged during the removal and reinstallation process that the lens will not stay attached unless taped or glued. The lens should be designed to remove and reinstall easily and securely since bulb maintenance is a critical safety issue. This issue is noted by many Bonneville owners on various internet forums.

I am experiencing a common issue with this vehicle wherein the regulator/rectifier plug begins leaking oil. This is due to the stator being completely submerged in oil in the engine and the seal on the cables breaking down over time. The oil is then able to wick up the cables and leak out of the plug connecting the stator to the rectifier. As this oil drips, it falls directly into the path of the rear tire which could potentially cause a loss of traction. Triumph has yet to issue a recall on this well-documented issue affecting a large number of their bikes.

The front brake master cylinder is leaking brake fluid slowly. This was first recognized by me in my garage ~8 weeks ago Included is a photo from of a leak-stain on the exhaust header that I presumed was from servicing in the dealership showroom as taken by my transporter. In retrospect, this appears to align with the brake fluid leak. The issue is continuing to this day. There is noticeable fluid loss and corrosion around the C-type spring clamp where the separate, remote reservoir connects into the master cylinder input. This does not appear to be where the leak is emanating from however. The leak appears to be coming from the master cylinder seal around the plunger mechanism. The issue was first noticed as I was preparing to wash the bike and witnessed a small drip on my fuel tank where the handlebars were turned left with the brake side grip in the 'high side' position. The drip was evidenced on the pivot bolt nut at the bottom of the master cylinder. The bike is a MY2023 purchased as a new, untitled motorcycle from an authorized Triumph motorcycle dealership by me in Nov-2025. My bike has ~700 miles now. Logging here as a safety concern. I've contacted both my local dealership and Triumph After-sales as well. The goal here is to document this issue with the NHTSA to be certain a) there isn't a prolific case of this leakage that I'm unaware of and b) to create awareness with NHTSA of a potential braking safety concern due to the leak preceding me seeking any repairs. I have only ridden my bike at low speeds in my neighborhood private (dead end) street until I can be assured this isn't a safety concern and seek a proper repair from a Triumph-authorized repair center free of charge under the OEM warranty. Pic's included are post- wiping to prevent drips onto my fuel tank.

MAP hose/sensor failure. Issue causes motorcycle to repeatedly stall while in motion. Dealer has confirmed this is a repeat issue, even after initial MAP hose recall has been performed. Had been inspected by the dealer multiple times. Vehicle is at the dealership now for this issue again. They are working manufacturer to determine why the repeated issue. Symptoms are rough uneven idle, and repeated stalling when in motion

I was making a right turn at an intersection while in 3rd gear with the clutch engaged, and the motorcycle stalled. I was able to restart the motorcycle while executing the turn and completed the turn without incident. Failure to do so would have put myself at risk from oncoming vehicles through the intersection. When this has happened the low oil pressure indicator illuminates. The oil sight glass shows oil level to be at max. I use ExxonMobil 93 fuel. I had taken the motorcycle in to conduct service for the same issue (the motorcycle stalled while in 1st gear at a stoplight) and an existing recall repair had been done about a week ago. The motorcycle has been emitting a strange odor since the repair that I am not sure what it is from.

The rear brake system on my 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 GT has failed repeatedly since purchase. After 2–3 rides, the rear brake progressively fades and then loses all braking force. The defect has been reproduced six times over multiple years and is documented in six repair orders. The motorcycle is available for inspection. The safety risk is loss of rear braking while riding. The motorcycle has been returned to me in unsafe condition, including loose handlebars and a heat shield falling off after service. My father witnessed these conditions. The dealership (Northern Colorado Powersports) confirmed the brake failure but only performed temporary brake bleeds and one brake line replacement. They told me major components—including the rear master cylinder—were replaced, but my printed service records show this never occurred. They also told me Triumph Corporate “denied the claim,” but Triumph Corporate later confirmed in writing that no claim or technical case was ever submitted for my VIN. The motorcycle has not been inspected by Triumph Corporate or any independent inspector. No police or insurance inspections have occurred. There were no warning lamps or messages. The only symptom is progressive brake fade leading to complete rear brake failure after a few rides. This defect is part of NHTSA Recall 23V730000 (Safety Recall 611), but the required recall repair was never performed, never reported, and never submitted to Triumph Corporate.

2025 Triumph Speed 400 — Moisture-Triggered Limp Mode and Loss of Turn Signals My 2025 Triumph Speed 400 enters limp mode and displays a check engine light and wrench warning whenever ridden in rain or high humidity. When this occurs, turn signals and hazard lights also stop functioning, leaving me without signaling capability in traffic. Both issues clear only after the bike dries out. The battery is disconnected and reset has not worked in the past, and continues not to help the issue. At my break-in service (~150 miles ago), I reported the issue. The dealer applied dielectric grease to the speedometer connectors and checked the battery terminals, but the fix was unverified as it didn’t rain until today. On 6/10/26 after riding to work in the rain, the bike entered full limp mode when I tried to leave — power was severely restricted and turn signals and hazards were completely inoperative. The simultaneous loss of power and signaling in traffic is a serious safety hazard with no advance warning to the rider. This is a documented issue across multiple owner forums affecting 2024 and 2025 Speed 400s, and Triumph is aware but has issued no recall or formal remedy. I am requesting NHTSA investigate and compel Triumph to issue a fix.

Riding on a highway at about 70 mph, the bike sputtered so I got into the right lane, pulled in the clutch and the bike lost power so I coasted onto the shoulder. The bike has not started up since--I was towed home. I saw no warning lights in advance. The bike was serviced after 600 miles and now has 5200 miles. Had I been in the far left lane, I may not have been able to safely get off the road in heavy fast-moving traffic. Cause of problem: UNKNOWN. I'm assuming I'll have to have the bike towed to the dealer for repair.

After Triumph recall myself and many rocket owners are still experiencing brake failure on our bikes. We are being forced by triumph to dealer to bleed brakes at our cost. This does not fix the issue as brakes keep failing. Additionally, on my bike this is causing the hill hold indicator light to indicate hill hold is active, when in fact it is not active. This is a safety issue.
