PIRELLI SCORPION ZER ALL SEASON 255/40R21 The tread is falling off in chuncks. Both the front and back tires.

The rear backup camera consistently fails to provide a view while in reverse. The camera either blinks between a view and black screen, or will completely fail and say the camera is unavailable.

While parking my vehicle in the garage, I pressed the P (park) button on my center console and proceeded to exit my vehicle. As I was exiting, the car began to roll backwards. I was knocked to the ground by the open driver’s door, unable to reenter the vehicle. The vehicle began rolling causing me injury to my legs, elbow and feet because I was essentially trapped under the side of the vehicle as it was moving. The vehicle continued to roll. Hitting items on my garage, including my second vehicle parked in the driveway, before coming to a stop by hitting a neighboring chain link fence. The vehicle sustained damage to driver’s door, rear end, and front left panel. I’ve looked online and have seen several forums of similar issues with the Volvo P button not engaging, and vehicles rolling/lurching unexpectedly.

When using the reverse or 360 views of the camera system on the vehicle at night, the cameras appear to rely on the front camera (or highest-brightness image) for exposure control. Since your headlights are up front and usually are the brightest spot, this results in your backup camera (and blind spot views) being completely black at night. This is a critical safety issue for visibility at nighttime with this vehicle and may result in injury or property damage.

The contact owns a 2021 Volvo XC60 equipped with Continental Tires, Tire Line: Cross Contact, Tire Size: 255/45/R20, DOT: (N/A). The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the rear passenger’s side tire had a blowout. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was confirmed that there was a sidewall blowout. The tires were not replaced. The tires were the original tires. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 17,000.

235/40/19 XL RUN FLAT: At 20,750 miles, Sudden Extreme Vibration at Interstate Speed. Confirmed by Schumacher Volvo Service on 28 Oct 2023. Service Writer and Technician advised tire/s failing due to 'foam' separating inside tire. Rotated tires and could not determine which tire. Advised to replace all tires due to experience with same problem on same tires. Recommended purchasing another brand at Costco.

The contact owns a 2023 Volvo XC40 equipped with Pirelli Tires, Tire Line: Scorpion Zero, Tire Size: 235/45/R20, DOT Number: 1XB1H884J5022. The contact stated that the message "Low Air Pressure" was displayed. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the rear passenger’s side tire was flat. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who replaced the tire. Later, while driving approximately 35 MPH, the front driver’s side tire had a blowout. The cause for the failures was not yet determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,588.

Rear lights have accumulated condensation during rain on multiple occasions, and then will stop working and cause an error code in the vehicle's onboard diagnostic system.

The 360 view camera works wonderfully with sufficient light. In dark or dimly lit areas, the camera is totally dark and unusable. Parking in a dark parking lot or area is not possible using the camera. When I was trying to park between the parking lines in the rain in early morning I had to get out of the car to see if I was in the lines. I have taken the car back to the dealer and they state that there are no issues with the camera system. Many owners on Volvo forums state similar issues. I can provide pictures upon request.

Front windshield completely separated from vehicle driver side top If side window open it flaps open. Very dangerous at freeway speeds. Known issue of faulty primer on window glass for XC60 vehicles.
