Hello, I was driving behind a group of cars that unexpectedly slowed, then stopped. I braked, but while I was braking the car unintentionally lunged forward and hit the car in front of me. i know my foot was on the brake because the car initially slowed. My car was totaled and I was injured. The other driver was not injured.

Complete brake failure. Vehicle would no slow at all. Brake failure warning on dash. Now multitude of warnings.

The 2017 trim leather dash panel cover peals significantly on the upper side and front side facing passenger. This may affect the airbag expensing by interfering with parts of the dash panel and could also introduce second harm in cases of these components flying out in high speed.

My car was sitting inside my garage, and just formed a crack, with no external disturbance. There is absolutely no way this was caused by external damage. You will see in the pictures that there is no external damage, and you can mainly see the crack looking up from inside the car. If you look at pictures of the glass, you see that the crack is on the underside of the glass, and that there is no single point of impact (like a radial crack, or chip, or anything on the outside surface). The Volvo dealership I took my car to said that even if it is a defect or an installation issue, that Volvo would do everything in their power to deny my claim. The dealer said they will document that that this was caused by external damage like a rock hitting the roof, even though I told them several times that the car was not being driven and was sitting inside my garage for months. I asked the dealer if they could show me exactly where the damage was, if they could point out to me where he initial outside impact or chip was. The dealership could not specifically point out where the chip was. I have contacted Volvo customer service and filed ethical complaints. They have more or less admitted to denying warranty claims on false evidence. It is also clear that the dealer gets paid more if it is not done through warranty, so they have no incentive to tell the truth (that this was a manufacturing/installation defect) I have done plenty of online research and found that many many other Volvo xc40 owners have the same defect in cars between 2020-2022 (their roof glass forms a horizontal crack completely unprovoked.) The contact owns a 2009 Volvo C30. The contact stated while attempting to park the vehicle, the gear shifter shifted out of gear independently. No dealer or independent mechanic was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 106,000.

Our EX90 will not charge with our installed Tesla Universal L2 charger. When the charger is connected to the vehicle, it appears to start charging for 2-3 minutes, then I get a Charging Fault, the charger tries to re-initialize, and this loop continues, all while not charging the car. While the car is attempting to charge the EX90 dash shows Power at 1KW or less and the Amps only get up to 4 max, but mainly stay around 1. We contacted Tesla and they said it could be a bad adapter, so they sent a replacement unit. After this unit was installed, the same issues with charging the EX90 continues. We have charged other electric cars with the Tesla charger and it works perfectly, which leads me to believe this is a Volvo issue.

When pulling out my pack up camera often say camera is not available at this time.

Driving down [XXX] headed west to Charlottesville and debris flew off of another truck with a trailer attached . Came off the back of their truck and smashed into the top of my car into my sunroof glass. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was on the 101 freeway on January 20, 2025. I was driving on the far left lane, driving 72-65 miles an hour. The 2025 Volvo EX90 suddenly wouldn't accelerate more than 36 mph. A turtle error came on the screen. "Driving Performance Reduced Drive with Caution Book a Service" message displayed. Due to the car suddenly slowing down, we almost were read ended by a truck. I have kids in the car. This car had multiple faults. I had the car serviced on 01/20/25 and received it back from the dealer on 01/28/25. After, receiving the car two days later, now the SOS fault System light turned on, and now the Air Bag Fault Light is on. I do have a video of the incident on the freeway when the car started slowing down and the error messages.

Chest clip is magnetized to assist with closing the clip - my clip does not stay latched shut, pops open at a slight push. I have another one of these seats, manufactured at a later date, and the chest clip needs the buttons pushed to open, so I know this is incorrect. Chicco does not feel the need to replace the seat, said they will send me a new retainer clip. If there was an option to attach a video to this complaint, I would.
