BRIDGESTONE TURANZA TIRES Complaints

225/50/18 Tires have less that 2000 miles on them and they are pealing at the treads. Literally whole chunks are falling off the tires…looks like someone has been picking and pulling off pieces of my tires.

I bought the Bridgestone tires in Sept 2023 from Walmart. On Nov 23, 2024, I went to Walmart auto center to have 4 Bridgestone tires rotated and balanced. The tech discovered severe bead separation in 3 of 4 tires. I had to buy 4 new tires. I have pictures of the tires with bead separation on the wheel rims and also off the rims.

So I've had to have 1 tire replaced already working on number 2. First one not sure what the problem was, but this tire is having problems holding air. It'll hold air for about 9 hours then the gauge on inside of car comes in saying low tire pressure.

235/50/R20. Found driver side rear tire completely flat in personal garage yesterday morning and passenger front tire had low psi warning on as well. Used the fix-a-flat kit that came with my car to fill driver rear and able to get to shop. Car/tires have 5000 miles on them. Tire shop could not find anything wrong with the driver rear tire but stated a puncture was found in passenger front tire well and did patch that. I see this has been reported before on a Toyota Bz4x same year and same tire with mileage the same as well. I am concerned this could be an issue going forward and am scared to drive this car now any distance especially since there is no spare and I have to purchase a replacement cylinder for the fix-flat.

The contact stated that while inspecting the vehicle, it was discovered that the front passenger’s side tire had developed a sidewall bubble and the tire was replaced. Later the front driver's side tire had developed a sidewall bubble and was replaced. The contact later discovered the same failure had occurred on the replacement tire located on the front passenger’s side. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. Bridgestone Turanza Quiet Track Tires bought 2 April 2023, and 2 in July 2023 at Discount Tire.I has to replace all 4 today with than half (20,000) of the 80,000 mile tread wear. A ripoff and dangerous. I was notified by sales rep that Bridgestone knows these tires are not for the hot climate. I live in Conroe, Texas.

The contact stated while driving 80 MPH, the rear passenger's side tire had a blowout. The contact stated she drove across the road and pulled to the side of the road. The contact stated that AAA assisted in replacing the tire with a spare tire. The vehicle was taken to Walmart the following morning, where the spare tire was replaced. Additionally, the contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the TPMS warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Discount Tires, where it was determined that there was a hole in the rear driver's side tire. The tire was replaced. The contact stated that the front passenger's tire was also replaced at Walmart due to a pinhole. The dealer was notified of the failure. The tire manufacturer was not notified of the failure. Tires had 17,000 miles on them and had to be “warrantied out” by the manufacturer. These tires had no grip and weren’t made for a car with sound dampening materials. I was told by the manufacturer that the reason the road noise got worse was the technologies were fighting against each other. More importantly, I experienced rapid wear. These are an 80,000 mile tire and with 17,000 miles on them I was already in the “consider replacing” time frame. Alignment was checked and good so it wasn’t due to the vehicle itself. Poor quality tire.

The contact owns a 2023 Toyota BZ4X equipped with Bridgestone Tires, Tire Line: Turanza EL450, Tire Size: 235/50/R20, DOT Number: EJYB. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the low tire pressure warning light illuminated on the instrument panel, prompting her to pull to the shoulder of the roadway. After a visual inspection of the exterior of the vehicle, the driver observed that the front passenger side tire was flat. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. After the dealer inflated the tire, the contact observed severe bubbling of the sidewall, requiring the tire to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 5,000.

The contact owns 2024 Toyota Camry equipped with Bridgestone Tires, Lire Line: Turanza EL440, Tire Size: 235/45/R18, DOT Number: 7XFU431JB2. The contact stated that there was a large bulge on the sidewall of the front passenger's side tire, and there was a small bulge on the sidewall of the rear driver's side tire. Additionally, there was a crease from the front to the back of the rear passenger's side tire. The dealer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the failure was related to an unknown voluntary recall. The tires were not replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The tire failure mileage was approximately 200. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 200.
