A tire purchased new as part of a complete set failed on June 29, 2026, approximately 58 days after purchase. The vehicle was being driven on a smooth road surface under normal driving conditions when the tire suddenly failed. There was no known impact with a pothole, curb, road debris, or other road hazard before the failure, and there were no warning lights, messages, or noticeable symptoms indicating a problem with the tire before it failed. The sudden tire failure created a serious safety concern because it occurred while the vehicle was being driven and could have resulted in loss of vehicle control, a collision, or injury to the vehicle occupants or other motorists. Because the failure occurred while traveling out of state, the tire was taken to an independent tire service center for inspection. After inspecting the failed tire, the service center documented that the tire had separated internally and determined that the failure was due to a manufacturing defect. Written documentation of the inspection findings was provided. The failed tire was later taken to the selling Goodyear location for inspection. Goodyear disagreed with the independent inspection and claimed that the failure resulted from a pothole impact. No pothole or other road hazard was struck before the tire failure. The failed tire has been retained and remains available for inspection upon request. On 6/19/2026, I had four new tires (Goodyear Eagle Touring, size 235/40R19 96V) and a four-wheel alignment installed at an authorized Honda dealership. The post-service alignment printout showed the right front camber and left front caster remained out of specification both before and after the alignment was performed. I left the dealership at approximately 4:30 PM. At approximately 6:20 PM, while driving westbound on Interstate 10 at highway speed, the left front tire, one of the four tires installed roughly two hours earlier, suddenly blew out with no prior warning light or indication. Notably, the right front tire had triggered a TPMS warning earlier that day, which is what prompted the same-day tire replacement, but it was the left front, which gave no warning at all, that failed. The vehicle was safely maneuvered to the shoulder to avoid a collision with other vehicles. California Highway Patrol responded and later moved the failed tire after it was struck by passing vehicles, creating a hazard for other drivers. The tire itself was not recoverable due to the danger of retrieving debris from live traffic lanes, though photos were taken of the tire and wheel immediately following the incident. The vehicle's onboard tire repair kit could not be used because the vehicle is subject to open NHTSA recall 26V-366, confirmed incomplete on this vehicle. A flatbed tow was required since this model carries no spare tire. I am requesting investigation into whether an installation error (mounting, bead seating, valve stem) or a manufacturing defect contributed to this failure, given the short time between installation and failure.

the passenger front sidewall of the tire has a bubble. The tire is a Goodyear LS-2 235/45R18 is the model. I felt very unsafe do drive on a defected tire. The tire dealer told me it was not a defect and i would have to replace the tire at full cost. There was no warning of a problem with the tire. i discovered it after a routine vehicle inspection by myself.

The contact owns a 2028 Forest River Sierra travel trailer equipped with Goodyear Tires, Tire Line: Marathon ST Trailer tire, Tire Size: 225/75/R15, DOT Number: 2V HH BLHV. The contact stated that while towing the trailer and driving approximately 20 MPH, the front passenger’s side tire experienced tread separation and a blowout. The contact was able to maintain control of the vehicle and safely stop the vehicle. The tire had approximately 20 miles of use at the time of the failure. The tire was removed and replaced, but the trailer was not towed. The tire was inspected by an independent mechanic, who confirmed the tread separation and the blowout. There was no crash, injuries, or property damage reported. The tire manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that a representative would follow up; however, the contact had not received a callback. The failure mileage was unknown.

The vehicle currently has approximately 750 miles on it. During car washing, I discovered visible bulges on all four tires. The tires are Goodyear Assurance RangeMax with DOT number 1M63P LF1R 1626. The bulges appear on each tire sidewall and raise concerns about a possible manufacturing defect or structural failure within the tires. The vehicle has not been involved in any accident, impact, pothole strike, or other event that would reasonably explain identical bulging on all four tires. I visited dealership and they confirmed it's manufacturing defects. Also, Goodyear service centre also confirmed it's manufacturing defects. Because tire sidewall bulges can indicate internal tire damage and increase the risk of tire failure, blowout, loss of vehicle control, crash, injury, or death, I believe this condition presents a significant safety concern. The fact that all four original-equipment tires exhibit similar bulging at very low mileage suggests the possibility of a defect affecting the tires or their manufacture. I am submitting this complaint so that NHTSA can investigate whether other consumers may be experiencing similar issues with Goodyear Assurance RangeMax tires installed on new Toyota Camry vehicles. LT245/75R16. Driving north on I-77 around Charlotte, NC around 7:40 PM and the tire blew out. I saw in my left rearview mirror the treads roll off the right side of the highway. I did not run over anything. Travel speed was 65 to 70 mph in medium traffic. No warning lights came on. Did not lose control and was able to navigate to the left side of highway when enough space opened up after a guide rail. All that was left was the rim and shredded sidewalls. Tire was installed in August, 2025 and had just about 3000 miles on it when the blowout occurred. The passenger side of the vehicle was about 3 feet from the fog line, and traffic for the exit ramp was very close to the vehicle. Called 911 and NCDOT helped remove the rim and put on the spare. My wife and daughter were in the vehicle.

To [XXX] to have my tires checked because i felt a strong vibration on my steering column and truck itself, it was getting worse so i took it to my mechanic who does my regular maintenance on truck. After inspecting tire ( [XXX] 55 R20) was called over and shown that my front passenger side tire had a flat spot, it looked deformed mechanic informed me that the tire had separated from radial. And i need to get another tire right away, since there was non in stock we did the next best thing we took the front passenger tire the affected tire put it in the back and put the rear good tire up front. The next day i was on my way to purchase the replacement tire when the tire blew out. I was on a heavily traffic road [XXX] . I managed to take control of truck doing about 40 mph at the time and drove it off the road to a safer spot to look at damage. Well the passenger rear tire witch was originally on the front that had the separated radial blew a chunk out of the inner sidewall. I put on the spare and went and replaced the tire with another goodyear new tire. On march 28 as i was coming home from [XXX] late at night the driver side rear tire blew as well again had to put on spare and next day took to local mechanics in [XXX] , and checked tire and again i was told that the tire separated from radial and that was the cause of blew out, they inspected all the tires at this point since this was the second tire from the same DOT set with less then 12000 miles that had separated. Well they found a third tire that had aldo separated and had a flat spot on driver side front tire, now there are 3 tires from the same set, coincidence, i dont think so i replaced the second and third tire. One the third day April 1, 2026 the passenger side front tire blew as well, now i have 4 tires that had radial separation with less then 12000 miles and less then a year old, in a mater of a month. And i need to get another tire right away, since there was non in stock we did the next best thing we took the front passenger tire the affected tire put it in the back and put the rear good tire up front. The next day i was on my way to purchase the replacement tire when the tire blew out. I was on a heavily traffic road [XXX] . The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact became aware that all four tires were cracked on the sidewalls, and the treads were crumbling and separated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was offered a discount on the purchase of a new set of tires. The contact stated that the tires were poorly manufactured and unsafe. The tires and vehicle failure mileage were approximately 17,900.
