The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the vehicle was undrivable. An independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and informed the contact that the power steering control module (PSCM) had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The MMI spontaneously reboots numerous times while driving. When the reboots happen, the screen goes black and key systems such as the backup camera, rear obstacle detection, and navigation, become unavailable until the reboot completes and the systems reload. Restoring functionality requires user input to get through the loading screens. The issue started in mid-February 2025 and the vehicle has been inspected by a mechanic who verified the concern and attempted a factory reset (which did not solve the issue), and they continue to claim there's nothing they can do since their OBD scans return no fault codes, even though there are numerous TSBs (filed with NHTSA) that point to available software updates that should be applied to address infotainment-related issues. This appears to be a widespread issue based on the numerous reports found on user forums online, affecting the same model year vehicles (for multiple examples, refer to [XXX] ). It is also interesting that most of the users experiencing this issue, also report it starting around the same time (Jan/Feb 2025), and they all have similar software versions, and likely production dates. This should be considered a safety issue, as the reboots can happen in the middle of a reverse parking maneuver, and they render the backup camera and obstacle detection sensors completely inoperative until the system reloads. They also impact safety on the highway, as the reboots completely disable the navigation screens, and require multiple user input to restore, while driving. I have also filed a case with Audi Customer Experience (as many other customers have for this issue) and the number is [XXX], opened on 5/2/25, and I'm still pending for a satisfactory resolution. Relevant TSB numbers include: TSB 2067021, TSB 2076404, TSB 2069112 INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

MMI (infotainment), and the dashboard screen will turn off randomly and reboot. This is a safety concern as it turns all sound off, and driving visuals like directions/backup camera, and freezes or reboots, not where you last had it but from a different check point. Audi dealership misdiagnosed the issue once, performed a software update, but the issue persists. Seems to be a widespread problem - NHTSA ID 11657000, among others.

We had a warning light go on on the dash advising there was an issue with the driver's side side marker lamp. In looking at the lamp, it is still illuminating, just not as bright as normal. This is a known issue with Audi - several complaints have been made already and there is even a recall on certain vins. My vin was not included in this so the cost is falling on me (in the form of $6200 not including tax) despite this being the exact same issue in the recall.

Right passenger windshield wiper arm, broke off and windshield during driving. It started to sprinkle and the automatic windshield wipers came on. The right passenger side wiper arm broke off and went flying over the vehicle. Fortunately the vehicle behind me was far away and was able to maneuver out of the way. I checked and the whole arm broke, not the wiper blade. The drivers side is fine. I read that this is a common issue and that many drivers have had the exact issue on the same side. This spans over several years. I saw from 2008 Q7 to 2016.

The Multi Media Interface (MMI) in my 2020 Audi A4 spontaneously reboots while driving. This problem is intermittent but can happen numerous times during a single trip in the car, even trips of less than 10 miles. When the reboots happen, the screen goes black and key systems such as the backup camera, rear obstacle detection, and navigation become unavailable until the reboot completes and the systems reload. Restoring functionality requires user input to get through the loading screens. The issue started in 2024 and the Audi dealership was notified by me on 19 Apr 2024, but they could not replicate the issue and found no "fault codes". There are numerous TSBs (filed with NHTSA) that point to available software updates that should be applied to address infotainment-related issues. The problem continued and I asked the dealer to re-examine it on 27 Mar 2025, but they would not perform diagnostics unless I paid a significant labor charge (since the car is now out of warranty), so I declined. This appears to be a widespread issue based on the numerous reports found on online user forums, affecting the same model year vehicles. (For multiple examples, refer to [XXX] .) Most of the users experiencing this issue have similar software versions, and likely similar production dates. This should be considered an important safety issue, as the reboots can happen in the middle of a reverse parking maneuver, and they render the backup camera and obstacle detection sensors completely inoperative until the system reloads. They also impact safety on the highway, as the reboots completely disable the navigation screens and require multiple user input to restore while driving. Relevant TSB numbers include TSB 2067021, TSB 2076404, TSB 2069112. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
